So i posted a thread about my hard buttons not working once in a while. now my touch stops working as well it stops working randomly coming out of sleep or after a call wiped the device and reload .161 and it still does it once in a while. i just battery pull and everything is good. any suggestions?

I have tried removing my protective privacy screen and still no dice. Is anyone else having this issue. I love the phone, but am thinking of switching to the Bold or iPhone since I have not had a reliable phone yet.

This problem happens quite randomly even when accessiing text mail. I have downloaded the latest software and it still does it. The phone was purchased in February. Can anyone please help

Ive tried restarting the phone, installing a different keyboard and clearing the keyboards cache.
I have a 1520(used to have a 1020) and my brother has a 1020. Of course i have to deal with her complaints when something goes wrong since i pushed her to a Lumia 1020 ....
What happens is, for whatever reason WIFI just randomly stops working. It'll show she is connected(both in the Icon at the top where you swipe and under settings/wifi) yet it doesn't actually load anything.
She'll be searching on Bing, Facebook, etc etc and she'll get the loading dots at the top of her screen that'll run endlessly. I have to then go into her settings and turn off wifi and then back on and it'll start working but then eventually it does it again shortly where there is no data or whatever.
The navigation app simply stops updating the GPS location after a while. It's not frozen, everything is working, but it just doesn't do anything.Then I've learned that if I switch off both the wifi and Bluetooth, it starts working again. Can repro it on two Nokia 920s. Nokia, the GPS app was the main reason I got this phone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was taking a shower; the Lumia 900 on the bathroom counter like I've always had my iPhone 3G. I got a call, dried off, used it, and the buttons on the phone became frozen and all touch input was no longer working. I finally soft reset the device by holding down the power button for 15 seconds (ignore the pull down to shut down tile, you can't drag it) and reset and it works again, but I am concerned. A little bit of humidity seems to have knocked it out, but it may be a coincidence.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am not sure if Moto is aware of the bug introduced in .173. Ever since the OTA a few months back the orientation/rotation sensor randomly stops working. I haven't been able to track it down to any particular app, but instead have a feeling that it's caused by any app that forces a horizontal orientation. I don't want to limit it to just that though, but basically after this bug is triggered, tilting the phone manually into horizontal orientation doesn't rotate the screen and any games/apps that use the tilt sensor stop responding to it completely. I launched Elixir tools while this issue was occurring and in the Sensor section of the app the two sensors that deal with orientation, the orientation and the rotation vector sensors are jumping all over the place. A reboot fixes this for a few days or possibly until i launch an app that triggers this bug and then it's the same thing all over again.

I was already prepared to take it to repair, but after 2 days I restarted it and everything was back to normal.This time it worked for about a day and then again...while unlocking it the touch screen went dead. Keeping it turned off for a day "solved" it this time. It can't be a complete hardware defect, otherwise it wouldn't just start working again after some time.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been getting an incredible amount of spam recently. So I've tried setting up filters on my BB Torch 9800. If I set up only two or three filters, it seems to work fine. But if I set up more than that, the BB just stops receiving all emails, not just the filtered ones. I've checked to see that I've clicked the right options. I'm not, apparently. So what's the trick to setting up lots of filters to kill of this wretched spam? In Outlook, of course, it's easy -- I can set up rules to stop the **bleep** reaching my in-box -- and I was hoping it was going to be similarly easy to do on the BB. But it isn'.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt turns off whenever I try to use the browser or the camera without fail and other random times. In these instances, it doesn't not show a battery drained shutting down warning. It has to be charging in order for it to reboot, but once it does the battery reads that it is 100% charged. Being on a phone call will drain a full battery in less than 5 mins, and it will flash the empty battery and say radio too low for handset use or whatever. In this case, I can charge it and it goes through the usual process where the light turns yellow and the bar slowly fills up. If I do a battery pull at this time, it restarts fully charged. The time it lasts out of the wall is anywhere from 5 mins-1 hour. I have no 3rd party applications and I did a complete device reset last month due to the same problems. I don't know much about software, but it says everything is up to date.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy 9800 from ATT works great and I really like using this but the annoying aspect of the phone is that it randomly uninstalls my applications. Today, the Blackberry software gift, DriveSafe.ly enterprise edition uninstalled itself and it's no longer on my phone. The reason I know this is that when I go to the App world and click on the app, it says "download now" and if it was already there, it should say "already installed." This part of the Blackberry is my most annoying issue. Is there another way? With the free apps it's easy, just re-install. But with this one since it was gifted do I have to pay to get it re-install? I have not gone through a restore yet, hoping don't have to.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI like the Torch a lot. The for factor suits me. I have no problems with it. I would however like to have an app or some way to disable the touch screen so that Im using the trackpad as im used to. In any case apart from web browsing i use the trackpad mostly.
Im not saying the touch screen is bad or faulty or I shld get another phone etc! I just want to know if anyone who is using apps like pattern lock etc have come across a way to make the Torch disable its touch screen - even if for a short while?
