Sep 21, 2012My mini pro started behaving weird lately. A few days ago the touch screen stopped working. The phone was not responding to anything but the hardware buttons. I was already prepared to take it to repair, but after 2 days I restarted it and everything was back to normal.This time it worked for about a day and then again...while unlocking it the touch screen went dead. Keeping it turned off for a day "solved" it this time. It can't be a complete hardware defect, otherwise it wouldn't just start working again after some time.

I Have extended warranty with my provider however before i send my phone away for replacement/repair i am hoping to be able to copy my contacts to a safe location until i have my new phone.
Xperia PLAY :: Touch Screen Not Working After Software Update?
Jul 20, 2011Checking my phone, it told me there was an update available. I used the PC connect software to instal the update, following all instructions exactly. The update was applied and the phone shut off. I restarted the phone as instructed, and after a few minutes the update appeared to be successful. However, when I tried to use the phone I discovered that I could not unlock the screen! My first thought was to restart the phone, but without the touch screen, I can't even turn it off! It seems like my only option at this point would be to remove the battery to kill the power, replace the battery, and try restarting the phone.

I got a call, dried off, used it, and the buttons on the phone became frozen and all touch input was no longer working. I finally soft reset the device by holding down the power button for 15 seconds (ignore the pull down to shut down tile, you can't drag it) and reset and it works again, but I am concerned. A little bit of humidity seems to have knocked it out, but it may be a coincidence.

May 18, 2012I recently bought a Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V (MT11). I locked the screen using the Power button of the phone. I have set a password for unlocking my phone. Now, when i press the "Home" key of the phone, the screen comes alive with keypad for punching-in the password but the touchscreen is not responding so i am not able to punch-in the password. I am getting calls on my cell phone but i cannot receive the calls since I cannot slide the "green" button on screen to right (which is the usual way to receive the calls). Could you guys please help me make my phone screen responsive again. This is a brand new phone, just a couple of days old and no apps installed other than loaded by the Company itself.

Although cracked taskrine, this part worked perfectly.
Tried a different official firmware and kernel.This is a problem phone or a touchscreen? As far as I know the touchscreen controller is located on the loop and vary with the glass and the phone only to indulge in the data.

Aug 31, 2015So, yesterday i decided to clean my Sony Z3 because it was dirty, i cleaned it with the hose (water), i made sure i used a towel to remove the water i blowed the water left, and i placed it back on the table, after 2 hours i decided to take the phone and see what's new and when i pressed the button to see if it opens it did but the unfortune part is that the touch screen is not responding like if i try to go to home menu i can't because it's not working to slide or anything, it's just froze but the power button and volume keys are working, this thing pisses me off so bad, i placed the phone in a bowl of rice it's been 7 hours sinceit's there and nothing the phone is closed and still nothing happend after 7 hours, and there is condensation on the camera lens btw.

Apr 4, 2015I have bought my Z3 just 2 weeks ago and already having problems with it, actually had screen issue on 2nd day of purchase but it became alright after a restart and phone worked properly, now today I can see black lines running across left side of the screen after several restarts and PC companion repair, screen is working fine though it flickers from time to time also the left side touch isnt working! I feel some connector is loose inside my phone or might be some bigger problem? I'm not sure myself.
Its been only 2 weeks, such an expensive phone and i'm already experiencing problems also my phone has not been dropped or been subjected to water.
