Xperia PLAY :: The Bottom Of The Touch Screen Stopped Working?
Dec 10, 2011
My phone has only a few days and overnight, the bottom of the touch screen no longer works at the application buttons. By testing the service menu, it is clear that this part no longer detects the touch. I tried to put the latest firmware with SEUS but nothing changed.
Phone Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo (MT15i).Fell into the water, and a crack on the touchscreen.I cleaned it, replaced the screen (inside the fluid were smudges) and touch screen. With the touchscreen problem, not a response by pressing the lower part of about 1 cm. 2 pieces Changed suppliers say they are original and the marriage was not. Although cracked taskrine, this part worked perfectly. Tried a different official firmware and kernel. This is a problem phone or a touchscreen? As far as I know the touchscreen controller is located on the loop and vary with the glass and the phone only to indulge in the data.
My xperia plays' touch screen has stopped working.
I Have extended warranty with my provider however before i send my phone away for replacement/repair i am hoping to be able to copy my contacts to a safe location until i have my new phone.
i have xperia play,my touch functions of my cell sometimes stop working but i can use d cell through d slider den d touch functions come back by themselves in some hours.
Checking my phone, it told me there was an update available. I used the PC connect software to instal the update, following all instructions exactly. The update was applied and the phone shut off. I restarted the phone as instructed, and after a few minutes the update appeared to be successful. However, when I tried to use the phone I discovered that I could not unlock the screen! My first thought was to restart the phone, but without the touch screen, I can't even turn it off! It seems like my only option at this point would be to remove the battery to kill the power, replace the battery, and try restarting the phone.
I ve got an n97 and had a problem were couldnt turn it on went on the forum and said 2 reboot with the 4finger salute now it turns on but havent got no touch screen.
I have an X8 that was repaired a few months ago due to a cracked screen.Yesterday the touch screen stopped working, the screen still displays everything it should and the menu, camera, lock and volume buttons work fine, but touching the screen does nothing which makes doing anything with the phone impossible.I've switched it on and off many times, including holding the power button until I get 3 vibrations and no luck. I've fully charged the phone and tested it whilst it's charging.I don't think there's been any damage, but it could have taken a knock whilst being in my pocket.
This morning I turned on my iPhone 4S and it logged in fine. I got a bunch of text messages because my chats were updating and all of a sudden it started to freeze. So I turned it off to 'sleep' and tried logging in again and it wont work now I went to turn it fully off but because the touch screen isn't working, I can't swipe the 'off' part of my phone. I've plugged it in, updated it, everything I could think of, and the touch screen still won't work. Or is it time for a new phone?
Several times per day, my screen just stops working. The LCD portion of the screen still turns on and off, but it won't recognize any touches. The only way out is a soft reset, since I can't swipe down to turn the phone off, then it works again. I have the Windows 10 preview installed, if that matters.
I'm thinking that it's a hardware issue, but I'm not 100% on that, since a soft reset temporarily solves the problem.
I also tried a hard reset and that had me hopeful, because it worked most of the day, then the issue returned in the evening.
The touch screen of my Xperia Mini Pro SK17a stopped reacting to touch three days ago. In the meanwhile I have repaired the software using Sony Bridge for Mac, used an old PC to repair with PC Companion and last tried SUS, but other than deleting my data nothing happened, the screen will not react to touch. The phone is 6 months old and I know there was no physical force or other stress applied upon it between the last time it worked and the moment I realized the screen was dead. It is a SK17a with 2.3.3 Gingerbread and Claro-Branded.
I recently dropped my phone about 2 feet and the screen cracked a bit in the upper right-hand corner. The phone has been fine for about a week since the incident, no problems at all. Yesterday I noticed there was some slight bugginess with regards to the touchscreen. I turned it off then back on, and it began to be unresponsive entirely, so I put the phone away and ignored it for a minute. I try again and it works just fine. A few minutes later, the same issue happened again, but I had no luck just ignoring it. I am unable to unlock my phone at all. I can still navigate through the power options just fine using the d-pad. I tried connecting it to a computer and to a power source and had no luck with that either. The phone won't charge and won't mount on a computer.
Just yesterday my phone has started to malfunction. A pop up window keeps appearing ''Unfortunately, Google Play services has stopped''. I have to click it around 6 times before it stops popping up, this happens frequently every minute.
When I try to use my camera it says ''Unfortunately, Camera has stopped''. When go onto Settings, Half of the menus are unusable. If I click one that's ''broken'' It closes itself immediately.
The sub menus that do this are: - Wi-Fi - Bluetooth - Data usage - Home - Display - Sound & notification - Storage - Apps - Tap & pay - Security - Accounts - Language & input - Date and time - Accessability - Printing - About phone
So this morning I took my Xperia Play out of its charging dock, to find that the touch screen is now completely unresponsive.I have tried updating and repairing the software through the PC companion, but the screen is still completely unresponsive. The phone is still (technically) working, and can be navigated by using the PS controls, but the touch part of the screen is not working.
i upgrade the last version for my Xperia Play but unfortunately the touch screen is now completely unresponsive, The phone is still (technically) working, and can be navigated by using the PS controls, but the touch part of the screen is not working.
as of today my phone has dead spots on the touch screen where it will not read my touch at all. and the other spaces that will react slower. is there anyway to resolve this without having to go back to verizon and getting it replaced....for the 5th time?
My handsets screen is not responding to any form of touch, it was was working then mid use just stopped. The screen still works displaying everything and is refreshing. Using the slide I can access some things but its very limited access.
Looks like I will be heading to Verizon tomrrorow for an exchage on my DROID after 3 weeks with it. Today, suddenly, the bottom icons are no longer responding to touch. I cannot click the phone dialer, SMS, camera or app icons. Anything above this first row still works fine. I did a factory reset on the phone and still no luck.
Hello, just got a nokia 5800 and there seems to be two lines of stuck pixels or something near the bottom of the touch screen. These pixels make the display on that part of the screen off centred..I'm just wondering, is there anything I can do about this?
I recently bought a Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V (MT11). I locked the screen using the Power button of the phone. I have set a password for unlocking my phone. Now, when i press the "Home" key of the phone, the screen comes alive with keypad for punching-in the password but the touchscreen is not responding so i am not able to punch-in the password. I am getting calls on my cell phone but i cannot receive the calls since I cannot slide the "green" button on screen to right (which is the usual way to receive the calls). Could you guys please help me make my phone screen responsive again. This is a brand new phone, just a couple of days old and no apps installed other than loaded by the Company itself.
I don't know how it happened but my phone adopted a crack from bottom to top just off center, which seemed to have made 40% of the right side useless. I am scared that if i get just the screen replaced, the right side of the touch will remain broken.
All of a sudden my Sony Xperia Z3's touch screen is not functioning.I have a non-passcode / 'swipe to unlock' setting on. My phone's touch screen is not recognising my swipe, therefore not allowing me to unlock my phone.
We have the Xperia Ray and it has been working fine for about 6 weeks until the other day when the screen stopped working and we are therefore unable to access the phone. We have tried to repair the software twice and that did not work and obviously we are unable to do the reset as not able to access the phone systems.
what i say to this company, last time i update my mini pro, and after that my mobile's touch screen is not working, What the * do now..and i also repair it 3 times with PC companion, but it doesnt work..and also tell me how can i degrade my androin 4.0 to 2.3 again. i thinks its all because of third class software you people provide us, android 4.0
My Xperia Z3+ is not working properly. The touchscreen works at random on its own and most of times won't work especially on the corner ends both bottom and up...Plus when I try to slide the it doesn't work either.Continues even after removing all the covers and cleaning and so on..
I took some photos underwater today with my z3 , I came home and the touch was acting up, it worked for a bit then nothing at all. i can use the camera button and i can use the volume button. The screen is not black its working all that isn't working is the touch,. All the seals were closed and it doesn't seem that any water has gotten into the phone.
