I took some photos underwater today with my z3 , I came home and the touch was acting up, it worked for a bit then nothing at all. i can use the camera button and i can use the volume button. The screen is not black its working all that isn't working is the touch,. All the seals were closed and it doesn't seem that any water has gotten into the phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V (MT11). I locked the screen using the Power button of the phone. I have set a password for unlocking my phone. Now, when i press the "Home" key of the phone, the screen comes alive with keypad for punching-in the password but the touchscreen is not responding so i am not able to punch-in the password. I am getting calls on my cell phone but i cannot receive the calls since I cannot slide the "green" button on screen to right (which is the usual way to receive the calls). Could you guys please help me make my phone screen responsive again. This is a brand new phone, just a couple of days old and no apps installed other than loaded by the Company itself.

Although cracked taskrine, this part worked perfectly.
Tried a different official firmware and kernel.This is a problem phone or a touchscreen? As far as I know the touchscreen controller is located on the loop and vary with the glass and the phone only to indulge in the data.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, yesterday i decided to clean my Sony Z3 because it was dirty, i cleaned it with the hose (water), i made sure i used a towel to remove the water i blowed the water left, and i placed it back on the table, after 2 hours i decided to take the phone and see what's new and when i pressed the button to see if it opens it did but the unfortune part is that the touch screen is not responding like if i try to go to home menu i can't because it's not working to slide or anything, it's just froze but the power button and volume keys are working, this thing pisses me off so bad, i placed the phone in a bowl of rice it's been 7 hours sinceit's there and nothing the phone is closed and still nothing happend after 7 hours, and there is condensation on the camera lens btw.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have bought my Z3 just 2 weeks ago and already having problems with it, actually had screen issue on 2nd day of purchase but it became alright after a restart and phone worked properly, now today I can see black lines running across left side of the screen after several restarts and PC companion repair, screen is working fine though it flickers from time to time also the left side touch isnt working! I feel some connector is loose inside my phone or might be some bigger problem? I'm not sure myself.
Its been only 2 weeks, such an expensive phone and i'm already experiencing problems also my phone has not been dropped or been subjected to water.

The update was applied and the phone shut off. I restarted the phone as instructed, and after a few minutes the update appeared to be successful. However, when I tried to use the phone I discovered that I could not unlock the screen! My first thought was to restart the phone, but without the touch screen, I can't even turn it off! It seems like my only option at this point would be to remove the battery to kill the power, replace the battery, and try restarting the phone.

I was already prepared to take it to repair, but after 2 days I restarted it and everything was back to normal.This time it worked for about a day and then again...while unlocking it the touch screen went dead. Keeping it turned off for a day "solved" it this time. It can't be a complete hardware defect, otherwise it wouldn't just start working again after some time.

I put my Defy in my pocket and started walking thinking its a water proof phone. When I reached home, first the phone's screen didn't respond to any touch. After a minute it went completely black and I could see heavy moisture under the glass. Only sensors were throwing some colored lights. I tried to call from my friend's phone on my number, and I could listen to the ringtone only. I could not pick up the call since there was nothing at all on screen. I noticed the spots while watching netflix and after taking a picture. I contacted VZW about it and they werent aware of any issues. I was concerned since I paid a lot for the phone I expect it to be better than that. So VZW sent me another new one without a problem. The second one had the same problem but more noticable. Also with both phones the screen would get really hot almost too hot to touch.

I dropped my Iphone in the sink for about 2 seconds, then took it out and dried it off. It all worked fine but a few minutes later the screen went black. I put it in rice for about 2 and a half days, and the sound and touch works (I can even unlock it and answer the phone), but I see not a thing on the screen. It's plain black. I still have it in the rice, but is there anything i can do to save it?

Each time errors are different...Im sure the phone is unrepairabl so I need to recover my BBM contacts... I've recovered my phonebook, music, pics, files etc from previous backups but I need my BBM contacts... If I can remote access the phone from my laptop I can do it but I don't know how...
