The navigation app simply stops updating the GPS location after a while. It's not frozen, everything is working, but it just doesn't do anything.Then I've learned that if I switch off both the wifi and Bluetooth, it starts working again. Can repro it on two Nokia 920s. Nokia, the GPS app was the main reason I got this phone.
View 1 RepliesMy 5230 will sometimes freeze. At times it will restart by switching off then on. At other times I need to remove the battery then refit it. This problem happens quite randomly even when accessiing text mail. I have downloaded the latest software and it still does it. The phone was purchased in February. Can anyone please help

I have already sent my phone to the service center and i just received it from the center. It indicated in the receipt that they fixed it and have done check ups manualy but my phone has the same problems. I just started my phone after receiving it and in the set up guide and i couldn't even use the keyboard to type the needed information, all it said was that the keyboard suddenly stopped working.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry randomly stops responding on different applications, and then i have to hold the menu button and switch to a different application, and i won't be able to use the un-responsive application until the blackberry is given a hard reset. Also during this time, my BBM will mess up, It won't show me peoples display pictures, it will show that their there when im in a conversation or over their name, but as soon as i go onto their profile or enlarge their image it will freeze, it will not let me send or recieve BBM messages during this 'phase' either, I've tried reloading the OS but that won't work either for some reason.

Ive tried restarting the phone, installing a different keyboard and clearing the keyboards cache.
I have a 1520(used to have a 1020) and my brother has a 1020. Of course i have to deal with her complaints when something goes wrong since i pushed her to a Lumia 1020 ....
What happens is, for whatever reason WIFI just randomly stops working. It'll show she is connected(both in the Icon at the top where you swipe and under settings/wifi) yet it doesn't actually load anything.
She'll be searching on Bing, Facebook, etc etc and she'll get the loading dots at the top of her screen that'll run endlessly. I have to then go into her settings and turn off wifi and then back on and it'll start working but then eventually it does it again shortly where there is no data or whatever.
I am not sure if Moto is aware of the bug introduced in .173. Ever since the OTA a few months back the orientation/rotation sensor randomly stops working. I haven't been able to track it down to any particular app, but instead have a feeling that it's caused by any app that forces a horizontal orientation. I don't want to limit it to just that though, but basically after this bug is triggered, tilting the phone manually into horizontal orientation doesn't rotate the screen and any games/apps that use the tilt sensor stop responding to it completely. I launched Elixir tools while this issue was occurring and in the Sensor section of the app the two sensors that deal with orientation, the orientation and the rotation vector sensors are jumping all over the place. A reboot fixes this for a few days or possibly until i launch an app that triggers this bug and then it's the same thing all over again.
View 14 Replies View RelatedOkay, I really don't know how to fix the following things because I already did a soft reset, a hard reset and finally re-installed the software. Re-installing the software helped for a week or two, but now these things are coming back again:
- My 5530 always fails checking for updates (it keeps searching endless).
- Impossible to use Wi-Fi to check e-mail.
- Applications are closing randomly (most of the times Ovi Store, Internet and Settings).
And something else: when I woke up this morning, my phone didn't want to start up, I tried turning it on and off, without success, so I removed the memory card and then he suddenly started again. After that, I turned my phone off to put the memory card back in and he worked again with the memory card. I just wonder what could be the reason for this.
In this phone no have download OVI MAPS or any OTHER MAPS..please tell me how to download any MAPS WITH NAVIGATION in this phone?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI got my Z3 2 months ago. I had no problem charging it before, it used to charge fine but after 3 weeks, it started to act strange during charging process. Even if the phone is plugged in fine, the phone charges for few minutes then stops charging again. The charging LED light turns off and when i check the phone, theres no charging signal. But sometime it charges fine without disconnecting.
I thought it was my charger's problem and i tried 2 more new chargers and its still the same. I was running 4.4.4 when this problem occured so i was guessing maybe it was software related issue. I updated to 5.1.1 but the problem still exists. I am using USB cable to charge it. It happens with both the wall charging and PC charging, I even tried factory resetting but no luck. I don't use wireless charging or any charging dock, only USB cable.
Recently upgraded to iOS 5.1 on my iPhone 4 - since doing so, music stops palying randomly while in sleep mode - thought it was the headphones, so tried another pair and the same thing happens... On a 32 minute train ride this morning, I had to press play at least 12 times.

I recently updated the OS on my Torch to 6.0 Bundle 2342 and now the browser will randomly fault. It starts with random characters being caps then progresses on to not displaying content. The only way I can fix this once it starts is to do a reset. It has been sitting on the table since then and now it is dead. Like there is no power. Nothing will make it turn on or show any life at all.
VERY Frustrating!! Aside from some alarm querks it has been a decent phone until it dies for no reason that we can see.
I am so in love with Google Maps and use it all the time. However, I need an app that I can program at least 14 stops into it.

Anyways, music randomly stops playing and I can't seem to get it back to playing if I don't restart THE WHOLE PHONE. It's very annoying and no this is not an Xbox Music issue since I've tried MixRadio, the Hub Tile and other third party players and this is still happening. Whatever skipping of songs I do it still won't play. Songs are switching but it's stuck on the 'pause' button but it's not playing.. No sounds, time is not running. REALLY annoying.
I charge my phone at night but the last few weeks it has the strange habbit to stop charging wait for a while and start charging again.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been having the same problem with 3 different audiobook players on the S6. These include Overdrive, Audible, and Smart Audiobook Player. All 3 behave identically. Tech support for Overdrive and Audible are at a loss.
First, audio pauses randomly over a period of 5 minutes to 1 hour. Second, the audio paused by this bug and/or manually paused will magically start playing over a period of 1 hour to 8 hours. This is very annoying when it happens at 3:00am.
I wiped my phone and reinstalled from a backup. Things worked fine for a few days. The problem then came back.
I got a new phone from Verizon warranty. For the first 4 weeks things worked fine. Then, suddenly the problem came back. I wiped the phone. The problem went away (I think - it's only been a day). I can't see wiping my phone once every week or two indefinitely.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was taking a shower; the Lumia 900 on the bathroom counter like I've always had my iPhone 3G. I got a call, dried off, used it, and the buttons on the phone became frozen and all touch input was no longer working. I finally soft reset the device by holding down the power button for 15 seconds (ignore the pull down to shut down tile, you can't drag it) and reset and it works again, but I am concerned. A little bit of humidity seems to have knocked it out, but it may be a coincidence.

The same thing happened a few months back and I got it going again somehow, but can't remember what I did. I can't find anywhere to turn it off and on, so can't work out what has happened.

As I'm living in Belgium (where data plans suck and are far too expensive), I declined, then it stopped the navigation (going back to the map with no more guidance). View 9 Replies View RelatedThe inbuilt magnetometer on my phone seems to have developed issues. It does not work in maps. It is always greyed . In fact it should be aligned in The direction of The travel. It is always stuck at north at top. Is this a hardware issue or can it be sorted out by software reinstall?EVEN THE OTHER COMPASS APPS DONT WORK. I have downloaded compass touch from Nokia store. Anyone else with same issue? And yes, I had performed a hard reset (*#7370#) after belle refresh. Not sure whether this issue came up after this or it was there before.
