Our second Nuron just stopped working. First one did the same thing. I had been using it earlier tonight and checking the GPS features. It has been sitting on the table since then and now it is dead. Like there is no power. Nothing will make it turn on or show any life at all.
VERY Frustrating!! Aside from some alarm querks it has been a decent phone until it dies for no reason that we can see.
With Nokia Email on my E63, it was a seperate program and it had true push email. While on my Nuron, it just sets up the account for you inside of your Messaging folder, and there is no true push email. What's the deal? Is this a problem with all s60 v5 devices?
I'm currently using emoze to substitute it, but its a little buggy, and would like to have push email back!
My 5230 will sometimes freeze. At times it will restart by switching off then on. At other times I need to remove the battery then refit it. This problem happens quite randomly even when accessiing text mail. I have downloaded the latest software and it still does it. The phone was purchased in February. Can anyone please help

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was taking a shower; the Lumia 900 on the bathroom counter like I've always had my iPhone 3G. I got a call, dried off, used it, and the buttons on the phone became frozen and all touch input was no longer working. I finally soft reset the device by holding down the power button for 15 seconds (ignore the pull down to shut down tile, you can't drag it) and reset and it works again, but I am concerned. A little bit of humidity seems to have knocked it out, but it may be a coincidence.

It's not frozen, everything is working, but it just doesn't do anything.Then I've learned that if I switch off both the wifi and Bluetooth, it starts working again. Can repro it on two Nokia 920s. The Nokia has a 3.5 mm jack, thus an adapter is necessary. I've scoured the web and found very little. I tried an adapter called the Headset Buddy that failed to work with the 5230: URL...
It seems that the adapters out there only support the audio going from the phone to the headset, and not for carrying the microphone signal from the headset back to the phone. (In otherwords, only to be used for listening to music.)
I just purchased the new nokia nuron and am wanting to use it as a modem for my PC. Does anyone know how to do it?

When I connect it to my computer with the usb tongle cord it gives me a few options. No matter what option I pick XP recognizes it and tries to install the driver for it but it can't find one and no cd was provided with the phone.Any ideas on how to get this to work? I haven't been able to figure out how to enter data as latitude longitude instead of a regular address. I found the GPS info that converts your location to lat / long is there a setting to change the data entry format when searching?

I selected pc suite mode.. the ovi suite does not seem to pick it up.. it cant connect with it. I have installed all the drivers by previously selecting the mass storage mode and it installed drivers but its not working... Im using windows vista SP 2

But when I began browsing through the Ovi Store and decided to try and download some free apps, I get to the downloading screen but that's as far as I can go; the downloading bar never goes past 0%. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Is it maybe because I have no internet plan? How do you make a video call on the Nokia Nuron 5230? I noticed there was a small camera on the front of the phone screen, byt the ear speaker... Did some looking around and it's a secondary camera that can only be used for video calls. Yet, I cannot find anything about how to make one.There's no option for it on the phone either, that I have been able to find.

View 6 Replies View Relatedmy ex-girlfriend sent me a video text on my nuron from the kids saying happy birthday to my mom. i can play the video just fine, but there is no audio attached to it. i called tech support and was bumped up to tier 2, but they were unable to help me. all they said is that maybe the nuron doesn't support it. it can take videos with audio, can play Internet and movies, but can't receive a simple video text with audio?
does anyone else have this problem? were you able to solve it?i did forward the text to my wife's friend and she forwarded it back to me as is and it started playing. so i have no idea what's going on with it.
