I'm a relatively new user of the Nokia Nuron and I just wondering if there is a way to unlock a Nokia Nuron without using the switch on the side.Maybe there is a good app that people are using for that feature?

The Nokia has a 3.5 mm jack, thus an adapter is necessary. I've scoured the web and found very little. I tried an adapter called the Headset Buddy that failed to work with the 5230: URL...
It seems that the adapters out there only support the audio going from the phone to the headset, and not for carrying the microphone signal from the headset back to the phone. (In otherwords, only to be used for listening to music.)
I just purchased the new nokia nuron and am wanting to use it as a modem for my PC. Does anyone know how to do it?

When I connect it to my computer with the usb tongle cord it gives me a few options. No matter what option I pick XP recognizes it and tries to install the driver for it but it can't find one and no cd was provided with the phone.Any ideas on how to get this to work? I tried just sending the picture via email but its stuck qued each time I try to send it.

I haven't been able to figure out how to enter data as latitude longitude instead of a regular address. I found the GPS info that converts your location to lat / long is there a setting to change the data entry format when searching?

I selected pc suite mode.. the ovi suite does not seem to pick it up.. it cant connect with it. I have installed all the drivers by previously selecting the mass storage mode and it installed drivers but its not working... Im using windows vista SP 2

But when I began browsing through the Ovi Store and decided to try and download some free apps, I get to the downloading screen but that's as far as I can go; the downloading bar never goes past 0%. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Is it maybe because I have no internet plan? How do you make a video call on the Nokia Nuron 5230? I noticed there was a small camera on the front of the phone screen, byt the ear speaker... Did some looking around and it's a secondary camera that can only be used for video calls. Yet, I cannot find anything about how to make one.There's no option for it on the phone either, that I have been able to find.

I've downloaded some apps and themes and I want to make sure they get transferred to the new card. I tried doing a full backup and restore using Ovi Suite and some of the downloaded apps made it and some didn't. I tried to re-download some of them from Ovi Store but Ovi Store seemed to think they were still there and wouldn't let me download them again. Is it as simple as copying the contents of the old card to the new card?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4s (Verizon). I had recently purchased what was described as an OEM screen plus LCD after I had cracked my factory screen. After replacing the screen and LCD such features as the side volume controls, vibrate switch, and proximity switch (dimming after accepting a call) have stopped working. I double checked to see that all of the connectors were pushed on correctly and they were. Is it possible this may not be an OEM screen and causing the problem or is there a piece of the hardware that I may have damaged that controls all of these functions (i.e. motherboard)?

I have an 5230 model wich is working properly, expect one thing, when I switch it OFF, after it takes plenty of time while I can switch ON again. I keep pushing ON button for seconds (as in the manual) till the buzzer and NOKIA logo coming on screen but after 10-15 sec the screen turn dark again and nothing. Mobile is switched off again. I should do every time that process again for ages while finally it switch on.

The touchscreen didnt respond and the Small white menu (with the music,web,share icons ) kept popping up if i moved my phone a little bit..(it really annoys)I did a Soft Reset as well as a Hard Reset Nothing worked out. The touchscreeen works after i lock and unlock the phone.

Is there a way of that being my default method for unlocking my phone, as I currently have a Device lock kick in after 5 minutes idle, then I have to flick the switch and type in the 5 digit key. I'd much rather just do the swipe. How can I set this as the default option to greet me when I flick the switch to wake up?I have the device lock on as quite often the screen becomes active on it's own, and messes up my widgets etc.
