Jul 29, 2010I would like to be able to use an over-the-head headset with a 2.5 mm plug (the same kind used with cordless phones) with my Nokia 5230 (Nuron). The Nokia has a 3.5 mm jack, thus an adapter is necessary. I've scoured the web and found very little. I tried an adapter called the Headset Buddy that failed to work with the 5230: URL...
It seems that the adapters out there only support the audio going from the phone to the headset, and not for carrying the microphone signal from the headset back to the phone. (In otherwords, only to be used for listening to music.)

Apr 11, 2010I have a question about transfering pictures or any media to my computer from my nokia 5230 nuron. When I connect it to my computer with the usb tongle cord it gives me a few options. No matter what option I pick XP recognizes it and tries to install the driver for it but it can't find one and no cd was provided with the phone.Any ideas on how to get this to work? I tried just sending the picture via email but its stuck qued each time I try to send it.

But when I began browsing through the Ovi Store and decided to try and download some free apps, I get to the downloading screen but that's as far as I can go; the downloading bar never goes past 0%. Apr 26, 2010I bought a 16gb MicroSD card for my 5230 Nuron. How do I transfer everything from the original 4gb card to the new card? I've downloaded some apps and themes and I want to make sure they get transferred to the new card. I tried doing a full backup and restore using Ovi Suite and some of the downloaded apps made it and some didn't. I tried to re-download some of them from Ovi Store but Ovi Store seemed to think they were still there and wouldn't let me download them again. Is it as simple as copying the contents of the old card to the new card?

Jul 27, 2010I have a belt case (made by Insmat), that work very well with my Nokia 3120 classic and Nokia 1600, but my 3 phone N5230 seem not to like this beltacase because when I put th phone in it it comes very hot and it takes all the power from the battery in only few hours.
The phone goes so hot that it it almost inpossible to keep it on my hands.The belt case has a steel plate and magnetised plate to keep it closed. Those plates are sized about 1" * 2.5"...So maybe the phone cannot reach the net because the antenna is behind those plates?
