When charging my iPhone and get a text (or any other activity takes place), the screen is greyish and dim, and if I slide across to unlock the screen, it goes dimmer and eventually fades away to black. I then have to lock the screen and unplug my phone to be able to read the text or get to whatever I need.

As we all know, the battery life of the N97 is the worst of any cellphone ever made in the history of the universe.But - as of about a week ago, mine has just got a lot worse. I can charge my phone up literally all day - maybe 9-10 hours of charging, then unplug it and go to bed, and by the morning it will be down to about 3 bars of 'charge' or something.Eventually after a couple of hours it will give up and turn off and I have to charge it again.And this is with me not even using it.So what's going on? Battery problem? Software issue?Help

My iphone 4 has a black screen and gets warm when charging. also, the battery runs out unusually fast. I can still receive calls etc and can see a 'backlight' come on behind the black screen when buttons are pressed, but I can not see anything on the screen. I have tried restoring the phone from recovery mode in iTunes but this does not fix the problem. If it were the screen that needs replacing then would the phone get warm?

So i ended up purchasing another LCD Display and changed it all out myself, however, my screen has lines going through the screen and it is not responding to my touch, I think that it has something to do with the connecters for the screen because sometimes I might be able to see the wallpaper and then sometimes the screen will be white with the lines going through it.

I got a new iphone 4 yesterday because my old one had a spring break so the power button wouldn't work. The new phone worked fine for most of the day but last night showed a message saying I needed to plug the phone into itunes again and restore it. I have now tried to restore the phone on two separate computers and both times error message number 1 has shown up with a note saying that apple can not process my request. I am wondering what the number means so that I can fix it and restore my phone. As it is now its useless. Its just a black screen with a charger picture and an arrow telling me to connect it to itunes.

have this phone for the last 8 months now , I noticed a black spot on the screen (near the profile icon) just 2 days back,immediately did a hard reboot (pulling the battery when the phone is ON) , but the black spot remained on all the screens , the spot became smaller and smaller till yesterday morning ,but when i charged my phone again (overnite) ,the black spot again 'grew' back this morning , this is very peculiar and i am unable to get a handle on this.
I have a Curve 8520 and recently I'll be using my phone (either on the internet, texting, on bbm/whatsapp) and the screen freezes and fades to white! I have to plug my phone into the mains for my phone to turn back on. It is making my phone really unreliable!
View 1 Replies View RelatedBasically, i downloaded the recent new update from LG about 1 or 2 days ago and then this morning I went to turn on my phone and the screen flickered, got black lines coarsly running horizontal through it and slowly the screen over a 10-15 second span fades to darkness and then sits in a dark screen state. Then I hit the power button several times and the phone only some times will activate.
Everything appears to function fine besides the screen as I can do almost everything using remote tools (i.e. android wear, bluetooth headset, online cloud based texting apps, etc.). However, the screen will not work for more than few seconds the few times it will even turn on.
So I downloaded ovi maps 3.03 for my Nokia 5800 Xpress Music phone, but it fails. When I'm pressing the maps icon I get to the ovi maps menu, and after 10 seconds or so, my screen just fades out and restarts itself Any ideas of what could be wrong?

There is nothing on the screen and the backlight is white and never turns off. I tried battery pull number of times. This usually occurs after I start listening to internet radio. It gets fixed when I plug it into my computer last time but Im at work right now and this thing is getting annoying because I can't use my phone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am helping out a friend who has a Nokia 6280. She claimed that it's infected by a virus because her problems started after using a Bluetooth headset. I don't quite believe this as I've heard it's more likely to be struck by lightning than to have this phone infected with a virus. Anyhow, the problem is the following: When you power on the phone, you get the Nokia handshake, then the phone loads. However, as soon as the phone loads, a bunch of black lines appear to streak across the screen rendering it black. That's not a huge issue because it goes away after a few seconds. Now I've read this could be an issue related to the ribbon that connects to the screen, but the screen turning black does not occur in any other instance other than right after when the main screen appears. I can play with the slider all day and nothing will happen, but like clockwork the problem appears after the phone loads.What gives? The phone works fine otherwise, so what could the problem be? If you need any more information I will be happy to provide. I've uploaded a video of this issue here (using my 5800 XpressMusic at night - the quality isn't that great sorry, but it does show the problem). Pardon the audio - my kids were watching Spongebob Squarepants so you might want to turn the audio all the way down! I guess my question is two-fold:
1) can this in fact be the result of a virus?
2) if this isn't due to a virus, what is it due to?
So with RIM upgrading/releasing all these phones with OS7 (curve, bold, "storm", torch), does anyone know if RIM will eventually release a pearl with OS7?I personally love the suretype on the pearl over full qwerty, the size and ease of use for the pearl, but it seems that RIM isn't that big on the pearl. i'm sure that there's enough fan base out there that would love the pearl too, but i don't see any rumors or indications that RIM might make a pearl with OS7 in the future...

Before my phone started playing up, I had it on clock, and whenever it eventually restarts it goes to clock.. the little timer thing comes up for about 20 minites, it moves a little bit, freezes for another 20 and then goes to app error. I've owned my Motorola Triumph for the past month. While I have been pretty happy with it, I have been having SD card reader issues over the past couple of weeks. My phone will suddenly stop recognizing my SD Card (a Topram 32 gb). I'll put the card in my computer and it reads it just fine. Also, if I put a different card in my phone it will also refuse to read that card as well. I have powered down, pulled the battery, etc. I did do one hard reset once which took care of the problem, but seems to be happening every 2-3 days now. It will eventually recognize the card after several shut downs, but this is proving very frustrating as there is not pattern or specific cause to this. I'm not sure if this is a hardware or a firmware issue.
