all the buttons have stopped working on my phone it started with a few of the not working like the n button the o button ect and the the other day all the buttons just stopped?
View 9 RepliesMy Curve 8520 's e button just stopped working, doesnt work no matter how hard you press. Sometimes will get assign speed dial to e or if i'm texting a capital E but it is completely random. Also at the same time when the screen times out it is unresponsive, the screen wont come up until you press any button many many times, found out that holding any button down will also make the screen reappear after a few seconds, also if you turn it off, the power button wont turn it back on, you have to take the battery out to get it on again, otherwise it works fine.

My problems started on Sunday - I was unable to connect to the internet using WiFi or my unlimited access. Since Monday I have discovered that I cannot receive phone calls - it goes straight to voicemail, and any texts / emails / FB notifications I receive are massively delayed.Orange don't seem to know what the problem is. I have performed a factory reset, and the problem has not resolved. I am currently waiting to hear back from Orange, as my call was "escalated" to another department. So far I haven't heard anything, but they did say 24 hours... it's been about 23!

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've had my BB Curve 8520 for about a year and until recently it's worked perfectly. For about the last month or two, it has stopped synchronising my Outlook Contacts and Calendar. It goes through the process when I plug the handset in but the data does not transfer. It's probably not synchronising other data too but I only use it for calendar/contacts. I've moved from Virgin to Sky as my broadband provider during this period. There was a recent BB upgrade but the problem was there before this took place? I seem to only have an option to sychronise giving priority to either the mobile or the PC or to create duplications if differences are found, none of this is satisfactory as I enter data on both and need true two way synchronisation. I've also noticed that birthdays from Facebook are now appearing on my mobile (not something I want) and appointments are appearing in various different colours.

I have a friend with an 8520 Curve from I-Wireless. After a couple days of using it his trackpad stopped. Now to me from reading it seem that most problems lie with the 8520 series and also seems that its a software issue as a batt pull will fix it for abit. Will updating to os 5.0 beta fix this problem or does the problem lie elsewhere?

I was on it one day on bbm and it died so when I got home I charged it up then went to turn it on but after 2 seconds of the rebooting screen a battery with a red cross appeared giving me the indication my battery was low I let the rebooting process continue but at about three quarters of the way through it froze, so I pulled the battery out after leaving it too freeze for over an hour and carried on doing that. It didn't work a few weeks later I tried it again it worked but then today it ran out of charge and when I tried to turn it on it does the same thing even know I have 100% charge as my other blackberry (which can only use facebook for some reason) said I had 100% in the status option screen.

This has happened before (however, the last time was a couple of months ago) and back then it just fixed itself after a few minutes. But its been 3 days now and nothing I try works. Not the number 2, letter "e", capital "E" or anything like that works.Firstly, I didnt drop the phone or spill any fluids on it (as far as I know). Secondly, I've done a few things as suggested on other support sites including rebooting the phone (took battery out while the phone was on) about 10 times now. But that didnt work. I also tapped the keypad around the "e" key and blew in it just incase there was a bit of dust stuck under the key, but still nothing.
Earlier I did a backup and was ready to do a complete Wipe. However, to confirm the wipe I had to type the word "blackberry"! So, needless to say, I couldn't continue because there's a **bleep** "e" in the word blackberry!I also cant take it back to my service provider (MTN - South Africa) because they'll send it right back without touching it or replacing it due to a little physical damage. (I've had the phone for around 20 months now and the convenience keys on the sides fell out because I probably used it too much or perhaps its just not durable enough.) Nevertheless, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place because I really cant go on like this for another 4 months until Im eligible for an upgrade!

The infra red middle button stopped working suddenly it can work as "OK" or "enter" also The lights around it is lighting, but The function as right, left, up and down is not sensing anymore

As off yesterday my iPhone 4 home button stopped working. I could not reset (obviously) because to reset you need to hold home and power which doesn't work if home is broken. I tried turning the phone on and off several times and that had no effect. Out of nowhere it just started working again after a few hours. I upgradedd to 5.1.1 last night. It worked fine for about 24 hours. A few minutes ago it just stopped working again. I plugged it into itunes to backup and restore but it started working again. It worked for 5 minutes or so, then it worked only intermittantly for another 5 minutes and now it's broken again.

That's basically it. I've tried charging it, plugging it into the computer, etc. and nothing has worked. I've heard about putting it into DFU and recovery modes but I can't do either since the home button stopped working. Is my phone dead or is there anything else I can try?
