Yesterday the keyboard started to do strange things: when I'm writing text messages it skips some letters it starts automatically to cancel all I have wrote without I have pushed "del"sometimes it automatically locks and no one key can remove the lockI already tried to remove and replace the battery but the problem still remain.
View 4 RepliesI just got this phone off Amazon market place, and when I flip the phone to the left to use the qwerty keyboard, the letter 'E' does not work correctly, sometimes it does work but other's it just spams my phone with the letters next to it (W and R). The thing which confuses me is when I go to use a menu on the same place it works fine, just not on the qwerty keyboard, also when I turn the phone to the right to use the qwerty keyboard on that side it seems to work fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe only time I was successful in getting WIFI to work was connecting to the OPEN connection at a Lexus Dealership. I've tried numerous times to connect to my home wireless network without success. It shows connected, but there is absolutely no Intenet. This is inexcusable for such a prominent technology company as Motorola! In my view, I believe that Motorola has omitted the WEP key or WPA key in their WIFI set-up. Does anyone else agree to that assessment? I have an electronic engineering degree and have been involved with technology since I was in high school and I would think that Motorola would answer this problem with a software update. I am sure it affects all of their smartphones with supposed WIFI capability. Other than the WIFI issue it is a great smartphone even without 4G!

This is a work phone and my colleague who has exactly the same Curve 8520 IS able to check in on facebook places with no problem at all. I do not believe that this is a "GPS" issue. I paired my husbands Torch 9800 to my curve via bluetooth and it now allows me to set location setting to the ON position but still am not able to check in.

I get it and the track pad doesn't scroll. I can still use it to click on an icon but I just can move it. I work in Afghanistan and I can't mail stuff outta the base i work at. Oh and i put "new" in quotes for the fact that when i started it up I got a Tmobile message.

But quick search in Contacts application simply doesn't work - I can find only few contacts - others just dissapear when I start typing correct letters. I tried to kill the process of this app and restart Contacts. Voila, it works correctly! But then in 5 min. I tried again and got just the same problem. Desktop quick search doesn't work too.I've already tried to reload all the contacts in my phone - no results.
View 19 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a curve 8520. when she tries to use the browser to sign in to yahoo email she fills in her userid and password but the sign in button dosn't work, nothing happens when she clicks it does she have to enable something in the browser configuration? she doesn't have a Blackberry data plan as yet so we realise she can't use BBM or facebook app etc but I would have thought the browser should work as she has an internet plan.

2 days ago, que screen misunderstood some touchs, and yesterday the first row of the keyboard, when in vertical orientation, just stop working.
Had to restore, in order to access the phone, once I couldn't type the password (althogh all keys worked well on emergency call).
Now, keyboard is fully functional in horizontal orientation, but the first row doesn't work on vertical.
More information: the screen has been replaced and it has emoji installed.

Just bought the nokia E7. Well had little problems with it but have been solving them bit by bit.The problem that I haven't solved yet is that when locking the phone and creating the password to unlock it, it doesn't seem to work.
I touch the power button to lock and it locks. A screen with number appears so that I can put the password and selecting any number or even pressing cancel unlocks the phone.
My blackberry Bold 9700 keyboard light doesn't work again,if i reboot it will be on,but once it has booted,it goes off again automatically,nd i can't use my phone at night or in a dark place.

I can still scroll around the screen with it, but when I push it to "select" it does nothing. View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got my Lumia 950 Dual Sim (2 days back) and so far I loved the features and appearance. However, I am getting frustrated with the continuous reboots and on-screen keyboard issues.
When I am trying to type in whats app or Skype (I havent tested other apps yet), the keyboard hangs and then it goes down. I have to keep clicking on the message space and then after a while either it comes up works for sometime and goes down again (unresponsive) or the phone gets restarted. I need to say that I am a bit frustrated with this as this is happening with a frequency of less than 2 minutes. I tried the basic troubleshooting steps of soft reset (volume down + power), but still same.
When I write with my physical keyboard, when I press the key b, it writes " b" instead of "b"

A quick flip of the keyboard in and back out and its fine again.

View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen I am using the qwerty keyboard (not touch screen) it is either not responding when I press a letter, or after several presses, when it does eventually respond, it displays a letter or character different from what I am pressing. Its basically to the point where my keyboard is useless. I have to hit the same key at least 5 times before it shows anything. It will sometimes skip letters that I'm typing and just display the next character. for example, I can be typing SLOWLY, hitting one at a time, spelling t-e-x-t and it will show up e-t, or something along those lines. Ill backspace to go back to the beginning to add in the missing letter and Ill hit T over and over and over till it eventually shows up, or some random character will show up.

Once I put all of the components back in the phone it restarts and brings me to the screen to enter my keyboard password. When I press the keys none of them respond and the screen stays blank and eventually dims away. NO keys word and the scroll pad will only scroll but not select. I am in dire need of a solution-

So I tried to upgrade my OS from 4 to 5. It was successful but I wasn't able to scroll down to press the OK button. After a couple of hours trying to scroll down, I pressed the OK button. But my trackpad and keyboard is not functioning well because when I pressed the home button my BB is not showing the home screen, instead it shows me my phonebook.

I can hold the A button and put it in what seems to be sleep mode, but my name and info does not show up on the home screen anymore. And you now push the mute button to unlock the keyboard. These are the only changes I have noticed. I liked the other way better.

I don't want the keyboard light to turn on when I'm using the device because it wastes battery. And my second and most important question is, why is the battery life so poor? My curve battery get's me through one day, and all I do is SMS, facebook, and IM. I don't use it 24/7 during the day either. I've had to charge it every night! I've looked in the obvious places in Options to try and re-instate the icon but can't seem to see anywhere which allow me to do ths. Seems to be an intermittent fault. As I own the Blackberry (it is not bought through a service provider), I tried to contact Blackberry customer services UK, who seem to be reluctant to deal with consumers.
