On firmware v22.014. The Keyboard light doesn't work on power saver mode (or low brightness settings). I tried to use 'Brightness Control' app.. It doesn't work to my satisfaction. But its better than nothing.
View 2 RepliesJust bought the nokia E7. Well had little problems with it but have been solving them bit by bit.The problem that I haven't solved yet is that when locking the phone and creating the password to unlock it, it doesn't seem to work.
I touch the power button to lock and it locks. A screen with number appears so that I can put the password and selecting any number or even pressing cancel unlocks the phone.
I've searched and am struggling to find much on these. What do they do, and how are they different?
According to HTC: Note: IfData connection is selected, HTC One automatically disconnects from the mobile network after 15 minutes when the screen is off and the data connection is idle (no download activity, streaming, or data usage). It reconnects and then disconnects periodically when the data connection is idle to save battery power.
Do these affect mobile data, Wifi, or both? Do they affect anything else?
I've left these off because I don't know how they work, and am getting fairly short battery life (10 to 15 hours, depending on use).
I have a Nokia E5 White.when I try to use the keyboard, the light goes ON even when I have a good light in the room or outside.And that makes it defficult to see the letters on the keybord ( white keyboard + white letters)
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust updated two days ago and my Airplane Mode icon will take me to the settings screen where I have to tap on Airplane Mode again which turns it into a two step process and makes the icon pointless. The other thing is that the screen is not dimming like it did in Power Saver mode. I keep my screen about 1/3 because indoors it's all I need and it would drop it about 10% before I updated to 4.3. Now it keeps it at the 1/3 default no matter what. I can't really say whether it's having a dramatic effect on battery life, but it would be nice to get that extra 5% in times of need.

2) Power-Saving mode doesn't really make sense unless it is customisable... I am on a 3G only network, power-saving enables GSM-only... see the flaw?

yesterday my phone was fine, and this morning when I got it off charge, the screen seemed heaps dark. So I went to turn the screen up in 'Light sensor' and it comes up with "Unable to change setting. Power saving mode active."How do I get it off this mode? I've looked everywhere basic and nothing meets the eye.

In fact, I noticed my Maxx's screen was darker than the Droid 4's in the store the other day, and I went into the Brightness settings and found Display Power Saver unchecked, so I checked it just to see what happened, and the screen got brighter. My brightness is always on Auto. Unchecking it had no effect. Since then I've been able to detect no difference with it checked or unchecked.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just bought a N97 mini and it seems that when it is in power saver mode, the battery went from 4 bars to 0? I was shocked that I couldn't even turn it on in the morning. It's a real bummer when I have to leave the house and I realise my phone died overnight. Is this normal? Is there any way to save energy when I leave the phone in that mode at night? I'm very sure I have turned off all Wifi and Wlan and Bluetooth settings. Also, I believe my wall charger is faulty. There is no white light when plugged in. (Another bummer, when I returned home and realise my phone has not been charging the whole time I was out.) However, when I use the usb on my computer it works just fine.

One of the most annoying features i found so far is that phone's keypad light doesn't turn on when you want to type the passcode for unlocking the phone. Even if you manage to unlock & want to type an SMS or a browser URL, still the keypad light is OFF. This makes it really annoying & next to impossible to type proper keys in darkness.When you leave the phone without touching any keys till its screen goes little dimmer, then when you press any navigation keys, then the keypad light actually turns on!

i get to the point where you have to select the email pproviders.i select gmail, enter my account name, then my password, press ok and it sends me back to the email provider selection list.
my only option there is press back or option.but back just takes me back to the begoning without any of the options being save.
I tried to update the firmware of my E6 from V21 to V22. But I get the error 12017. I reinstalled OVI suite, and restarted my phone but no luck.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia E71 which as I write is not responding to any of the keys. When I turn it on it boots up and then gets to the 'Set date' window, which I can't get past because it does not register me pressing 'OK'.
I think reinstalling the firmware will fix this, because before it stopped working it went through a phase of not working, and then working again, and then not.
The problem I have is that I can't select the 'PC Suite' on my phone when I plug it in because it won't let me press any keys. how I can get my computer to recognise that I have the phone connected, without having to select PC Suite on my phone?

But quick search in Contacts application simply doesn't work - I can find only few contacts - others just dissapear when I start typing correct letters. I tried to kill the process of this app and restart Contacts. Voila, it works correctly! But then in 5 min. I tried again and got just the same problem. Desktop quick search doesn't work too.I've already tried to reload all the contacts in my phone - no results.

Today i updated to belle refersh, now my tocuh screen doesnt register my touch in certain areas, i cant pull down the notification bar, cant scroll vertially (horizontal scroll works with jerks), the icon i click on doesnt get selected, but one above or on the side of it gets selected...pretty strange and annoying...what i did....removed memory card, restarted, checked...same thing...clean formatted the phone (without memory card...still doesnt work).
View 4 Replies View Relatedi installed the latest update 071.004 on e72, now text message doesn't work properly. i have to switch off and on once to recieve the msgs. most of the msgs i send will go n sit in outbox. i have to manually select each one and select send option in outbox to send them. Also found problems with bluetooth. send via bluetooth option doesn't work. it doesn't even search for the the devices available.I am also getting 'memory full-close some applications' error in messaging and also in the browsers.my phone has about 191Mb of free space and mem card(8gb) 5.6gb free.

I thought this would be fix, but I guess I was the only one with this issue. Just updated to .54. I'm of course not going to do anything about it I'll just work with it.
