I've had my e71 for several months now and I didn't even know that it hada a special navigation button, I only used it to select thing, never as a mouse pad.I found out through a friend that has an e72 that the button does work for scrolling. However mine doesn't, I tried looking for how to activate it in the setup but could find anything.

1) I am in India and am using the Nokia E5-00 just now. I was using Nokia 2690 earlier. Why does the E5 NAVI key not have shortcuts like the earlier phones? In earlier phones you could configure the NAVI key for shortcuts to Radio, Camera, etc. Is that possible in E5?2) When I press the Call Key, the E5 does not show me the latest calls made. For that I am forced to go to Call Log. Is there a way I can configure that?

View 16 Replies View RelatedEven if I select "high" sensitivity for optical navi key, it is too slow for me. I can only move 2 icons once a time. I think it is too slow compared to "blackberry"s trackpad. I have to touch too many times for moving long distances especially browsing web. It's sensitivity should be increased or there should be more sensitivity levels. The difference between 3 sensitivity levels does not differ so much.
Maybe my optical navi key is malfunctioned? Can you comment your experiences with optical navi key?
Whenever I receive a call notification on my E7-00 I have pressed, swiped and tapped the green receive key, but it not activate, the time expires and the call is sent to voicemail; not every time, but most times.
Vodafode provide my service. When 121 rings the green button answers when pressed most times.
I sent this phone back to Nokia once already. They updated all of the software and sent it back to me. The software update is impressive but the green receive button still does not work.
For a £450 purchase price I was expecting better quality. I am now waiting for the carrier to collect the E7-00 take it back to Nokia again for, hopefully, a proper repair this time.
my nokia E71 FM radio just doesn't work.anytime i try to connect to radio the only available option is the visual radio.i changed the auto-start service on the settings of the visual service to off but still the FM radio.

i get to the point where you have to select the email pproviders.i select gmail, enter my account name, then my password, press ok and it sends me back to the email provider selection list.
my only option there is press back or option.but back just takes me back to the begoning without any of the options being save.
I tried to update the firmware of my E6 from V21 to V22. But I get the error 12017. I reinstalled OVI suite, and restarted my phone but no luck.
View 6 Replies View RelatedJust bought the nokia E7. Well had little problems with it but have been solving them bit by bit.The problem that I haven't solved yet is that when locking the phone and creating the password to unlock it, it doesn't seem to work.
I touch the power button to lock and it locks. A screen with number appears so that I can put the password and selecting any number or even pressing cancel unlocks the phone.
Yea i was updating firmware and my phone restarted on the Ovi suit seed that it's normal but it didn't turn back on it just flashes the buttons and thats all few seconds later it turns of.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia E71 which as I write is not responding to any of the keys. When I turn it on it boots up and then gets to the 'Set date' window, which I can't get past because it does not register me pressing 'OK'.
I think reinstalling the firmware will fix this, because before it stopped working it went through a phase of not working, and then working again, and then not.
The problem I have is that I can't select the 'PC Suite' on my phone when I plug it in because it won't let me press any keys. how I can get my computer to recognise that I have the phone connected, without having to select PC Suite on my phone?

But quick search in Contacts application simply doesn't work - I can find only few contacts - others just dissapear when I start typing correct letters. I tried to kill the process of this app and restart Contacts. Voila, it works correctly! But then in 5 min. I tried again and got just the same problem. Desktop quick search doesn't work too.I've already tried to reload all the contacts in my phone - no results.

Today i updated to belle refersh, now my tocuh screen doesnt register my touch in certain areas, i cant pull down the notification bar, cant scroll vertially (horizontal scroll works with jerks), the icon i click on doesnt get selected, but one above or on the side of it gets selected...pretty strange and annoying...what i did....removed memory card, restarted, checked...same thing...clean formatted the phone (without memory card...still doesnt work).

Also found problems with bluetooth. send via bluetooth option doesn't work. it doesn't even search for the the devices available.I am also getting 'memory full-close some applications' error in messaging and also in the browsers.my phone has about 191Mb of free space and mem card(8gb) 5.6gb free.

Nokia E6 with Symbian Belle Refresh which I bought just a couple of days ago.It does not detect wifi internet connections at all, although they are available. When I go to settings -> connectivity and then select wifi, it searches connection for a while and then shows that none are found. Meanwhile, my old Nokia E72 remains connected to my home wifi without any problem... I am really surprised and disappointed. Also when I try to set up the connection manually, it doesn't work at all.I can't believe that such a device is being sold, a wifi connection is something extremely necessary nowadays in a smartphone. I was so attached to Nokia but I feel like it is my last Nokia phone because this is just unbelievable

E.g. it is not possible to release the keyboard lock of when pressing the green button (for starting a call) and see the last calls on screen it switch to the function which is assigned to the upper button. I locked it as per normal, using the ''unlock'' and "function" buttons but when I went to unlock using the same buttons it didn't work. It's not coming up with the "now press function" message when I press unlock, so I'm presuming there's a problem with the button.
