Eseries / Communicators :: E7-00: Green Receive Button Does Not Work?
Sep 15, 2011
Whenever I receive a call notification on my E7-00 I have pressed, swiped and tapped the green receive key, but it not activate, the time expires and the call is sent to voicemail; not every time, but most times.
Vodafode provide my service. When 121 rings the green button answers when pressed most times.
I sent this phone back to Nokia once already. They updated all of the software and sent it back to me. The software update is impressive but the green receive button still does not work.
For a £450 purchase price I was expecting better quality. I am now waiting for the carrier to collect the E7-00 take it back to Nokia again for, hopefully, a proper repair this time.
I've had my e71 for several months now and I didn't even know that it hada a special navigation button, I only used it to select thing, never as a mouse pad.I found out through a friend that has an e72 that the button does work for scrolling. However mine doesn't, I tried looking for how to activate it in the setup but could find anything.
have 5530 model. contacts and dialer icon on homescreen does not work nor green call button. Only way of calling is going thru contacts within the menu and if it is not there then you have to set it up which is extremely long and laborious! I have updated software and reset factory settings to no avail phone is only 2 months old!
Is there any way to move the camera button from the default top right button? When setting keyboard lock on/off (top-left then top-right) I press this button by mistake and has to exit camera-mode, which involves some waiting time.
I've noticed several have the same problem but no answer yet. Phone E6 sw 021.014 I have 3 email accounts which all work well for one or two days, but then stop receiving. If I reboot the phone they start working again for a couple of days only.
So couple days ago someone tried calling me but apparently got the "the person you are calling is not available, please try again" later blah blah blah which usually comes on when the mobile is switched off i suppose, but at the time of the calls my phone was at full reception bar! I tried calling my phone and confirms that it wasn't able to receive calls but i can make calls though. Is this a known E72 bug or something?? I read a couple people got that problem on E72 and other E series like E55 or something. I'm really worried about missing important phone calls because of this.
When I charged last time my communicator and re-used it I discovered malfunctions at the front buttons. E.g. it is not possible to release the keyboard lock of when pressing the green button (for starting a call) and see the last calls on screen it switch to the function which is assigned to the upper button. Also when choosing an operation the phone wrongly moves to voice recording!
When my phone is on standby, central button is blinking every 10 seconds. How can I turn this off - I don't have any uread messages and emails and I erased SMSs on my SIM.
where is torch button in Nokia e71 tell an application .which has torch function and which doesn't play screen, it should able to start flash torch on nokia e71
I have an E71, about 18mths old, and this afternoon the ''unlock'' button decided to not work so I can't access anything on my phone! I locked it as per normal, using the ''unlock'' and "function" buttons but when I went to unlock using the same buttons it didn't work. It's not coming up with the "now press function" message when I press unlock, so I'm presuming there's a problem with the button. Really hope someone has a solution that doesn't involve me having to send my phone off
For a few weeks now my e72 hasnt been receiving any emails. It's set to do so automatically. Originally I just thought it was just a small delay but almost a month later and still nothing. I have tried to receive manually, send a test email and deleted the account from my phone and reset it but nothing worked.
Since some days ago a circle with a crossed line is shown in my Nokia E71 phone, just at a side of the battery logo, and since that I cannot send or receive emails. My questions are: What does that circle with the crossed line means? and How to do for receiving and sending emails again?
I have only had this phone for 4 days. I set up my iinet account, set up was fine downloaded all my messages. after I did the phone update (I thing OS)it seems to have stopped, I can't send or receive. I have been through all the settings and everything seems fine. I also tried to delete the account so I could re-set it up but it was sitting on deleting mailbox screen for about half an hour so I aborted...
I cannot make or receive call from my E72. Even cannot send or receive sms. When i dail any number a lock sign appears in front of number and nothing happens. When i restart my phone then its start working fine. I am extremely annoyed the basic functionality of cell phone is to make or recive call if we cannot perform this task what is the use of buying such expensive E-series phone. I need resolution. My firm ware is 053.001 Model E72-1
What could be the problem with my messaging.i cannot receive international messages on my e63 but i can send international messages. I can receive local and send local plus international but i cant receive international messages.
why when i receive MMS, the picture is really small? On my E71, the picture was about full screen size. Also, when i send pictures to other people via MMS, they receive a small thumbnail as well.
The E5 has a home button and a message button that you can configure. Normally if you press the message button for a short time, it goes to messages. If you press it for a long time, it opens the create message menu. Mine worked yesterday but doesn't do anything anymore.
Dropped the phone. Have now discovered the power button is stuck down. Phone stays on, but battery is depleting quickly.Pushing down on the button does nothing. How do I unstick the power button?
I'm an E51 user and i got the phone from my dad like few months ago. He updated it regularly and one day the left soft key stopped working, then it was the 4 button key 's turn to stop working.then he gave it to me and told me to go on Nokia's website to look for the solution. I was quite sure that it was the keypad but i discovered that if i press another button and the 4 button at the same time, the 4 button works. I am very confused. then after some time, the phone started to call contacts when i press the arrow keys. Example: im on the main menu and when i try to browse it calls my mum. I don't know why but i tried to update the software again to see what happens, but, the pc wont recognize the phone this time, i tried on my mother's pc, mine, my dad's one and my friend's one....same. I dont know if it is the firmware or the keypad. and i tried to reset all the settings by doing *#7370#, but i dont know the unlock code and my dad seems to have forgotten it.
I cannot make or receive calls and messages on my nokia e52 sometimes. When trying to make a call it shows a small lock in locked position near the green phone symbol. I then restart the phone and it works fine. It only occurs rarely like once in a week or two and you wont know unless you try to make a call or some one calls your land phone and tells that the mobile is switched off. I am using the latest software and has tried the factory reset.
I have a Nokia E71 and I am unable to receive multimedia messages. Some of my friends can send me picture text and I received them with no problem. When the rest of them try to send me a message my phone will light up but the message will not come through
I got the black version bought in the end of May 2010, and got it repaired recently because of cracked speaker. The repair company also upgraded the firmware from 034.001 to 051.018 (the new firmware 051.018 crash a lot more often specially with music player or if you want to see pictures/movies).
Anyway, In relationship with the repair I also noticed that I could not receive or make any calls. If I try to make a call its all silent the signal strength says its great connection though with the full bars. And if someone tries to call me they hear the default: "the subscriber can not be reached now, please leave a number and end with #".
And if I restart the mobile the phone works as normal again, I can make calls and receive calls. Also SMS will be received now. This happened both with firmware 034.001 and 051.018. I am using 3G net with operator Tango mini/comviq in Sweden (and they dont have any problems with the net, also the restart would suggest the same thing). I would think this is related to too long uptime or the frequent soft reboots/crashes.
I keep my phone in a leather flip case and when it's in my pocket, the torch button (space bar) key gets pressed causing the flash to come on.I don't know why this is as I always keep my phone locked and no other keys seem to work when it's locked.
Signal Bar is full but cannot make or receive calls , when dialing out "connection error" comes , If dialing the number it comes as switched off ....The phone needs to be restarted every time this happens , happens every day atleast once , attempted a factory restore , still the same issue ......Using the same unit for more than a year , now the issue cropped up after the Belle update only.....
When Nokia internet radio is on and streaming a station, i observed that i cannot receive any calls. I assume the calls are given high priority when compared to others.
My Nokia E63 runs on Vodafone Streaming on: Vodafone Mobile connect FW Version:500.21.009(02-02-2010) RM-437
