BB Storm2 9550/9520 :: Green Call Button Sticking / Stuck
Jan 4, 2010I recently got the new BlackBery Storm 2, and the green call/accept button seems to stick when I push it. The rest of the phone works beautifully except this particular button/part of the screen.Has anyone else experienced this problem before?

Feb 20, 2010I know a thousand and one people have complained about this, and I've been scouring the internet for an hour and a half reading stories.My Blackberry Storm2 (bought yesterday) has that issue with the buttons (green call button and red end call button, at the bottom) where they just don't click properly. Sometimes it does, most of the time it's either a bunch of little clicks when pressed or it doesn't recognize at all until you press it twice or more.
Aside from that, the phone appears to work just fine, and the bottom button issue is just irritating for now.I just want to know, is it worth it to go return it for this problem? Is it going to get worse with time? I don't want to go exchange for another phone that's going to be worse off or just has the same problem, which has happened to so many people.
Does anyone have this issue with their Blackberry and have kept it with the problem and it's hanging in there just fine? Is this phone even going to MAKE IT for 1-2 years?! Anyone have positive durability stories?
BB Storm2 9550/9520 :: Got My Replacement Today / Back Button Sometimes Not Work
Mar 12, 2010I got the storm 2 like 2 weeks ago and I loved it only problems were the back button wouldn't work like 40% of the time and my send button rarely worked. Well after reading that they were replacing them free I went to a verizon store today and of course when I took it in all the buttons worked. Well the guy still offered to exchange it for me. the whole thing took less than a half hour and he gave me a new battery just for the **** of it and the replacement is soo much better! All the buttons work and overall typing is soo much better on it now. I didn't think it would go that smoothly but so far I have had verizon almost 2 years and I have had great service with them since the start. Now I looked at the box and there was no green dot on it or anything and I haven't looked at the date under the battery yet cuz I have been using the phone alot and right now im listening to music but all the buttons work great and the back button dosent click like its on crack everytime I click it.

Feb 28, 2010I have two storm 2's and on one of them the lock button clicks real good. The other one is more mussy. Any ideas? Should I get the one replaced with a refurb? Other than that it works fine.

Mar 11, 2010i think its a hardware problem. i have to squeeze the button hard to get it to work. and even still, sometimes it wont work at all. is there a fix i can do for this? i don't want to return it. everything else is fine. I'm afraid to take the top cover off without good directions. can anyone help?

Feb 1, 2010I'm running .428 and my storm and I know there are lots of threads on the button issue. Mine all stopped working Friday after a dip in the ocean. Next day the bottom 4 started working again but the power/lock still does not work. It clicks but nothing else. And the keyboard is so soft. Oh and about 5 auto shut offs. I have to battery pull just to start it again.

Jan 7, 2010If my curve 8900 is any indication, the dedicated buttons at the top wear out and start getting unresponsive pretty quick. I'm afraid if the lock button on the Storm2 wears out, I won't be able to unlock it (with the curve I could use the keyboard * + green call button to unlock).Is there an application or similar that allows me to unlock the screen by an alternative method?

Press the call button, select the address book tab and press find for the keyboard to show and to type the name I'm looking for.BUT did you know that if you press the green call-button (from wherever you are) for 2 seconds it will go right away to the address book tab on you call screen with keyboard present?
Maybe it's old news or something new in .607? Whatever it is, I'm glad I found it and I consider it very useful for my use.

Jan 31, 2010Not sure if theres a defect on my S2, or if they changed how the volume keys work from the S1, but on my S1, I could press the volume keys up or down and the ringer volume would change, from silent all the way up to loud.
But on my Storm2, the volume keys don't do anything. At first I thought the phone had a defect and the keys didnt work, but I installed QuickLaunch and I'm able to scroll through the QL menu using the volume keys. So the question is, can you guys control the ringer volume using the volume keys? Or do the volume keys not work that way on the S2?

I need some help as to from who I should be getting it.I am currently with Rogers and I can't cancel my plan with them. If I buy an unlocked one from Telus will the Rogers 3G work on it ? What American providers will work on the Rogers frequency so I can get 3G coverage ?I know the Verizon one is out of the question as it runs on different frequencies.

Mar 30, 2010I have complained lately that when I get a call, the custom ring doesn't work--instead it rings like a Ma bell phone. I put two and two together today when I received a call while the phone was plugged into my ps3. unplugged, it rang properly. plugged into my pc--same issue. tried my wife's phone plugged into my computer--same issue. Plug the phone into the RIM charger, the ringer works correctly.
