View 7 RepliesI keep my phone in a leather flip case and when it's in my pocket, the torch button (space bar) key gets pressed causing the flash to come on.I don't know why this is as I always keep my phone locked and no other keys seem to work when it's locked.

E.g. it is not possible to release the keyboard lock of when pressing the green button (for starting a call) and see the last calls on screen it switch to the function which is assigned to the upper button. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an E71, about 18mths old, and this afternoon the ''unlock'' button decided to not work so I can't access anything on my phone! I locked it as per normal, using the ''unlock'' and "function" buttons but when I went to unlock using the same buttons it didn't work. It's not coming up with the "now press function" message when I press unlock, so I'm presuming there's a problem with the button. Really hope someone has a solution that doesn't involve me having to send my phone off

Vodafode provide my service. When 121 rings the green button answers when pressed most times.
I sent this phone back to Nokia once already. They updated all of the software and sent it back to me. The software update is impressive but the green receive button still does not work.
For a £450 purchase price I was expecting better quality. I am now waiting for the carrier to collect the E7-00 take it back to Nokia again for, hopefully, a proper repair this time.
I've had my e71 for several months now and I didn't even know that it hada a special navigation button, I only used it to select thing, never as a mouse pad.I found out through a friend that has an e72 that the button does work for scrolling. However mine doesn't, I tried looking for how to activate it in the setup but could find anything.

He updated it regularly and one day the left soft key stopped working,then it was the 4 button key 's turn to stop working.then he gave it to me and told me to go on Nokia's website to look for the solution. I was quite sure that it was the keypad but i discovered that if i press another button and the 4 button at the same time, the 4 button works. I am very confused. then after some time, the phone started to call contacts when i press the arrow keys. Example: im on the main menu and when i try to browse it calls my mum. I don't know why but i tried to update the software again to see what happens, but, the pc wont recognize the phone this time, i tried on my mother's pc, mine, my dad's one and my friend's one....same. I Have gone through the C memory and the below are the only items with any significant file size. Config = 86kb, Log = 157kb, Mail for exchange 26kb, Place widget 17kb, Sound files 118kb, adimagetemp 12kb, Bur_debug 43kb, debug.log 21kb, ka3d-log.txt 89kb, MdfpluginArchive.txt 27kb, Everything else is eithr 0 or bytes only, with about three more less than 10kb each.
what I can delete safely. I am no expert, however I do not see why the above quantity should be using up so much on the C memory?
I have taken back to factory settings and transferred data to PC under Nokia Suite Make Space option.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI sent my less-then week old E6 in for repair becuase of the restart-problem. I called them on monday, and was told I'd get a call from a cust service rep. I called again today (Thrusday), and was told someone would call w/in 48 hours. Remarkably, I actually received a call.
They could not fix the E6 They offered a new, not-refurb'd N8, and not an E6 as a replacement, citing the N8 as an "upgrade".
Figure that one out.Worst_Service_EVER I do not want the N8, as it has no qwerty keyboard, but that was the only option given. She gave me 2 days to call her back after thinking about it.
