Can the Menu button on the home screen be reconfigured for another function?It seems redundant to me to have this and a Home button that have the same function...

I have a gmail account installed in the phone and there is a homescreen link for it, just under the applications bar at the top. The thing I want to delete this link from my home screen but there is no settings for it. This link is not seen in home screen customization links in mod settings nor in the mail settings. how to delete this from home screen?
View 1 Replies View RelatedNormally i can start typing some letters on the homescreen and the phone will offer me the contacts that match these letters. Then i select the contact and press the button to call.
Since yesterday i can no longer use this function; When i type letters, i don't get any contacts. Only way to call my contacts now it to go into addressbook and select them there. I tried turning it off and on but this didn't resolve the issue.
I want to add a shortcut on my homescreen, but only 1 not 4 at a time... If I add "Shortcuts" to my homescreen, it can only be 4...
For eg. I only want to add "New Message" as 1 shortcut. Then maybe have an option to make the other shortcuts "None"... in the shortcuts widget.
I have E72. The message Icon that looks like an envelope keeps blinking on on the bottom of the screen. What does it mean or indicate.

However, so far Ive only found out (through Settings - General - Personal - Standby modus - Modus settings - Emailnotofication), youre only capable of showing 2 emailboxes on your homescreen. Is there any way to get 3 emailboxes to be displayed on your homescreen?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a weird problem with my E71. Occasionally the contacts search where you start typing a name and the contacts pop up filtered on the home screen just stops working. I can get it working again by disabling and reenabling the feature (by typing something and choosing options>contacts search off; then turning back on).
why it is randomly ceasing to work? It's really annoying to sometimes use it and have it not work and then have to disable and re-enable.

on e-series:1. There's a shortcut... Hold shift and press the ctrl/chr key.
2. When on a input screen i.e. SMS, Web, email, etc. To Turn On/Off predictive text and/or Writing language select the Function(Bottom Left)+Space key combination.
i guess the only way for me doing this shortcut is by emulating these keys using magickey(see attachment (freeware)).could sb tell me the which number these keys have in magickey? all you have to do is install and open it uner keymap list you add a keymap.when you see "original key" press call-key (green) and the number should change to 999.then press function key and tell me what number appears.do the same with the other keys.

I also managed to download and install the latest software for the E7. So far so good.Both the user guides (Eng. & German) for the E7 (Bella) keep mentioning some kind of icon which looks like this:

This is apparently the icon for some kind of Menu. From there I should be able to e.g.
Select "that icon" > Contacts

But on my E7 I do not have any icon that looks like that anywhere, nor do I have a button called "Menu" (which the Nokia website mentions e.g. as "Select Menu > Applications"..Izam at my wits end.When I switch it on, the E7 shows the signal strength and my Provider at top left, the antenna, a battery shape and the battery strength at top right, a "Go to Music", then beneath that, a globe, a square white box, an envelope and four heads (which wants to connect me to Facebook etc). lower down is "New Mailbox" (with Ovi etc), Phone Setup which doesn't offer me any options apart from the ringtones etc and images and at the very bottom Options ooo Call. The Options only allows me to see open applications, edit home screen, change wallpaper etc.
i have a new Nokia E7-00. I experience the calendar function to be VERY slow. It takes seconds to open, then more seconds to load the calender entries, then to move from one date to the other, even closing the function is slow. What can I do to make it respond faster?
View 19 Replies View Related've recently bought a nokia E72 after losing my E71 and I'm really disappointed with this mobile phone. I share most of the problems shared by most of the users. Messy software, awful sound, horrible build quality with lights comig from everywhere. But lately I found another problem with my mobile. When I create a new message, in the messaging menu, I don't have the option to create a MMS message. All the options I have are ''message (sms) / audio message / avatar sms / e-mail''. No signs of MMS creation option. I tried to uninstall the ''avatar sms'' software to check if the MMS menu would appear but still nothing. I've check the MMS settings and all the settings are ok, but still nothing in the messagin menu to create a MMS.
