I am a E63 user....the WLAN scanning suddenly stoped actually i was using an app for my phone,Upvise i wanted to cut the wifi connection i did so by going to connectivity>conn. mgr. and killed the connection after that i am uable to scan Wlan networks and when i go to WLAN wizard it shows 'system error'.

For eg. I only want to add "New Message" as 1 shortcut. Then maybe have an option to make the other shortcuts "None"... in the shortcuts widget.
I got a unknown icon at my home screen. It appear right to the date and left for the battery status. I dont fint it in my manual.

I tried to connect to a wlan network (Name) and entered a wrong wep key. After i found out how to change the wep key i realised that i had more networks (Name01, Name02). I still can`t connect to my initial network as the wep key is still incorrect but i can connect to 01 and 02. I would like to delete Name and Name01 networks from my list. I couldn`t delete them from Menu - Ctrl. panel - Connectivity - WLAN wiz. My phone is an E52

I have saved accesspoint with saved password.Password on this AP was changed and now when I'm trying to connect from my Nokia E6 I receive 'Check password'.But I didn't find any place where I could change password.In Settings-Connectivity-WLAN I see only information about APs. But I could not delete/chage saved password here.

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy 5530XM is acting up again (v.11 firmware). The symptoms are random disconnects from WLAN and, after doing a soft reset, unable to put shortcuts on the home screen (using the Shortcuts theme). I really think the problem is with the memory card because I can't turn the phone on with the card inside.
Is there a way to scan/repair problems with the memory card? I really, really want to avoid a hard reset. Last time I did that, I lost all my apps from the memory card (I have the Games Edition). I can try using PC Suite or Ovi Suite to back up my memory card apps, but I don't trust the suites that much. What I'd like to do is drag and drop my memory card apps to another location in my PC, but I cannot see the memory card apps in Windows Explorer.
Is it possible to add a shortcut to a home screen that links to a particular file, rather than to it's application?

View 1 Replies View RelatedNormally i can start typing some letters on the homescreen and the phone will offer me the contacts that match these letters. Then i select the contact and press the button to call.
Since yesterday i can no longer use this function; When i type letters, i don't get any contacts. Only way to call my contacts now it to go into addressbook and select them there. I tried turning it off and on but this didn't resolve the issue.
I have E72. The message Icon that looks like an envelope keeps blinking on on the bottom of the screen. What does it mean or indicate.

In the beginning, I only displayed my hotmail en gmail on my homescreen. I recently (succesfully) added my work emailaddress (through exhnage/MfE), and now I want to have this emailbox to be displayed on my homescreen.
However, so far Ive only found out (through Settings - General - Personal - Standby modus - Modus settings - Emailnotofication), youre only capable of showing 2 emailboxes on your homescreen. Is there any way to get 3 emailboxes to be displayed on your homescreen?

One second I could go to a webpage and then the next it would say WLAN not found. Keep in mind this was literally 10cm from the wireless router.Now at work I tried connecting to the WLAN after following a very comprehensive guide put together by our IT department with all the required details. I also downloaded the required certificate and opened it (selecting all 3 of the options that come up, whatever they were).Another person at work has the E65 and they connected fine. I have attached the settings I used in case you can spot something wrong.

View 5 Replies View Related've recently bought a nokia E72 after losing my E71 and I'm really disappointed with this mobile phone. I share most of the problems shared by most of the users. Messy software, awful sound, horrible build quality with lights comig from everywhere. But lately I found another problem with my mobile. When I create a new message, in the messaging menu, I don't have the option to create a MMS message. All the options I have are ''message (sms) / audio message / avatar sms / e-mail''. No signs of MMS creation option. I tried to uninstall the ''avatar sms'' software to check if the MMS menu would appear but still nothing. I've check the MMS settings and all the settings are ok, but still nothing in the messagin menu to create a MMS.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a weird problem with my E71. Occasionally the contacts search where you start typing a name and the contacts pop up filtered on the home screen just stops working. I can get it working again by disabling and reenabling the feature (by typing something and choosing options>contacts search off; then turning back on).
why it is randomly ceasing to work? It's really annoying to sometimes use it and have it not work and then have to disable and re-enable.

I upgraded from E72 and before that I had an E71, and on both phones I only needed to enter the passkey once and I only have to select the particular wlan connection after that, no need to enter the passkey.
By the nature of my work i always connect to different wifi spots of my clients, so you see this is really important for me
I have a strange problem. My E5 has the following setting for WLAN:
Ctr Panel>Settings>Connection>Wireless LAN>Show WLAN Availablity = Never
However, the entire time the background scanning is being done and "Select WLAN Network" popup comes with all the networks around me. I guess this is eating into the battery life and barely 10 hrs in the day, the battery dies out. I would like to add that I am a non phone person & hardly talk on the phone.
I am able to access the network service providers 3G network normally. I want to shut this background scanning for good and use only the network of my service provider.
I have a Nokia E63 mobile set. Recently, I updated its firmware with Nokia OVI Suite to 500.21.009. After update, it seems to work fine but when I tried to connect to my wireless router, it says "Connection Not Avaible" but the icon for wlan stays near the battery indicator icon. When I try to connect again, it says "Wlan connection already active, close it and try again". And when I try to disconnect with wlan, i cannot find disconnect option. Becoz of the problem, I tried googling, found that some problems were resolved by reinstalling the update. So, I tried the same without luck. I also tried Factory Reset which didnt worked. After that, I tried GPRS connection and found that I cannot connect with GPRS either.
