I just got the phone and I was wondering if anyone can please help me connect to the interent without having to find a wireless hotspot! Its really annoying! Whenever I try to use the browser it says 'connecting' then 'select connection' and the only option it gives me is 'search for WLAN'.

I had my home network setup sweet for a while but then my phone started dropping the connection like crazy. One second I could go to a webpage and then the next it would say WLAN not found. Keep in mind this was literally 10cm from the wireless router.Now at work I tried connecting to the WLAN after following a very comprehensive guide put together by our IT department with all the required details. I also downloaded the required certificate and opened it (selecting all 3 of the options that come up, whatever they were).Another person at work has the E65 and they connected fine. I have attached the settings I used in case you can spot something wrong.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia E63 mobile set. Recently, I updated its firmware with Nokia OVI Suite to 500.21.009. After update, it seems to work fine but when I tried to connect to my wireless router, it says "Connection Not Avaible" but the icon for wlan stays near the battery indicator icon. When I try to connect again, it says "Wlan connection already active, close it and try again". And when I try to disconnect with wlan, i cannot find disconnect option. Becoz of the problem, I tried googling, found that some problems were resolved by reinstalling the update. So, I tried the same without luck. I also tried Factory Reset which didnt worked. After that, I tried GPRS connection and found that I cannot connect with GPRS either.

The problem is that my phone keeps on asking me 'Select Connection' if I want to connect using Wifi, WAP or Internet. First of all, I do not know which app requires the connection. This is definitely a UI improvement! How can I know which app requires the connection!
Let's assume it is my mails accounts which try to connect (I have played with the Control Panel / App Manager). The issue is I cannot find how to tell my mail accounts I want to force the connections to Vodafone Internet 'Contract Internet'.
It seems that I can only select the connection point for my first email account and not for the remaining ones.. Is that correct? That's a bug.
My phone is Nokia E6. I've installed Nokia Suite (v: 3.6.36) on my pc.I connect usb cable to E6 and pc. Run Nokia Suite. And then I connect my pc to internet. I expect E6 will connect too but it's just not working.

When i open up my web browser on my Nokia is asks me where i would like to connect to and i receive the following options: 'MMS' 'Mobile Internet' and 'Planet 3', all of which i have tried and no luck. I upgraded from E72 and before that I had an E71, and on both phones I only needed to enter the passkey once and I only have to select the particular wlan connection after that, no need to enter the passkey.
By the nature of my work i always connect to different wifi spots of my clients, so you see this is really important for me
I have a strange problem. My E5 has the following setting for WLAN:
Ctr Panel>Settings>Connection>Wireless LAN>Show WLAN Availablity = Never
However, the entire time the background scanning is being done and "Select WLAN Network" popup comes with all the networks around me. I guess this is eating into the battery life and barely 10 hrs in the day, the battery dies out. I would like to add that I am a non phone person & hardly talk on the phone.
I am able to access the network service providers 3G network normally. I want to shut this background scanning for good and use only the network of my service provider.

I still can`t connect to my initial network as the wep key is still incorrect but i can connect to 01 and 02. I would like to delete Name and Name01 networks from my list. View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since I've upgraded my E72 to version 51, phone tends to crash almost every time I turn on WLAN scanning, displaying a System Error message, forcing me to lose all my data, including applications I've paid for.From what I've read here on the forums, I understand that reverting to factory settings might fix this issue, but I don't that I should not be forced to lose everything on my device due to Nokia's incompetence, especially since I have no guarantee that this issue will not show up again.

Unfortunately, Nokia PC Internet Access says it could not find a Nokia device connected to the PC. (**bleep**, you were installed from it, right now.) If I reconnect E52 to the PC, Nokia PC Internet Access has a completely black window. It pops up another window "Updating..." saying "Installer has found some installed components which are older than those in device's memory. There components will be updated." The progress bar remains at 0% and nothing happens. Cannot even cancel the installation.

I have tested if Web is working fine using a Nokia C6 - after factory reset - the APN was created automatically for the KPN SIM - and I could browse the internet using C6. I have noted down the details of the APN on the C6.Now I have taken my E7. Inserted the same KPN SIM card. Removed all destination and added manually the APN for KPN. After this I have restarted (turn off / on) once. Then I tried the Web application. It gives "Web: Unable to perform operation".Why does my internet work on C6 and not on E7?
