The message that appears is always "security incorrect" even though I am very sure that the password I keyed in is the same as the password I have for my home WLAN.There is no problems with my home WLAN because I can use my laptop to access it and I'm currently using it. From time to time, any of the apps I use (from the official Internet browser, to Foursqure, Opera Mini, Gmail, or any other that need Internet access for that matter) don't even give me the dialogue to chose an Internet connection. I just get a message: Unable to connect to Internet.
I'm pretty sure all my settings are ok, especially because this happens sometimes (from never per day to always per day/session) and there are no rules when it starts working again. Sometimes it needs a few phone restarts, sometimes it just need some time.
So basically, the applications don't try to evoke Internet access. Even if I already have a constant Wi-Fi connection, they still don't see it "or even try to do so by asking".
When I'm pressing Available WLANs, its only showing me "No networks available" (it looks like its not even trying to find nearby AP) My router have a WPA/WPA2-PSK security, its on channel 9 right now. Nokia X3-02 RM-639 V 06.05

Power saving is off, internet is the only access point available (I have deleted all the packet data conections as they are not on my plan and i do not want to go over what i already pay)I have disabled and enabled HSDPA to no avail. It makes no difference. It's really starting to annoy me as i have no idea how to sort the problem. It was working earlier now it refuses to work, it connects though i dont get a progress bar coming up checking internet connectivity.could this be something to do with it? I have it enabled in settings.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have 2 annoying problems with my Nokia X6 16GB: Problem 1: I cannot browse the internet using a wireless LAN Connection (WLAN). i manage to connect to my wireless network at home but every time i want to go to a website i get the following error 'invalid server name'. i used the connection wizard to connect. i added my home network as 'access point' , nothing seems to work. i thought maybe it is a firmware problem. now the latest firmware release is 21.0.004 i still have 20.0.005. so i tried to update my firmware using the 'nokia software updater'. which brings me to my next problem: Problem 2: Nokia software updater says i have already the latest firmware while i read on the site of nokia the latest firmware for my phone is 21.0.004. how's that possible? since i can't get the new firmware using the 'nokia software update', does anyone know how i can? i do not want to use the software updater on my phone since i have a prepaid SIM card, and connecting to the internet would cost me a lot of money. I've read somewhere that the software was not available 'in each region'. i live in Belgium (small country in West Europe), can i check anywhere if the software is available 'in my region'?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have defined my WLAN as the primary internet access point. Incidentally, the E72 terms the WLAN connection point "infrastructure". My wife's E63 uses the slightly more reassuring "known". Despite the WLAN being the number 1 priority access point, when using the www application the 3G connection is launched if the applications settings are set to "automatic". If I use "always ask", oddly the WLAN internet access point does not show up in the list. The 3G connection does twice. Once as an internet access point, and with a slightly different name for a WAP connection (not sure what the point of the WAP connection is, but too scared to delete it). I can "Search for WLAN" which without fail always finds my home network, which is selectable, and can be used without problem.
There appears to be a glitch in that the defined WLAN access point is not and cannot be recognised as an automatic connection point, but is easily used when manually selected. Perhaps a WLAN setting is wrong making the automatic connection fall over? Happy to entertain any advice. The phone is completely up to date with firmware.
I cant connect to my WLan, yesterday till night it was workin fine and now it isnt. i installed Fring on it, for 2 days it worked fine, thn this happend now i hav even uninstalled tht, still it hasnt helped. I'm now at the confused.com point I want to use my phone on the WLAN at home and I've added the service to the phone using the wizard etc however every time it connects its seems to use the futures bright internet and thus I incur download charges, ok they are only a few pence at a time but I don't know why it does this. I've set the phone to ask on connection and I pick the WLAN every time.Can anyone help me please - fyi this phone has been unlocked and unbranded and is currently using PAYG, don't know if that makes any difference or not but thought I would share

I cannot seem to connect to the Internet via WLAN. Does this version of the E72 come with Wifi at all?And also, does anyone know whether the Topaz Brown colour comes with an English keypad (North American), without the Chinese symbol strokes on the keys? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
