I recently got a wireless Router and now have my own wireless network in my home. I searched for it on my N97, it found it, I added it to it's known access points and set it to connect automatically whenever needed. Here's the problem: it does connect automatically, but it only works for like 30 seconds. After that, it doesn't get disconnectted, but it doesn't work anymore either. It simply downloads no more data. The website doesn't finish loading, or if I try to acces another site, it doesn't load at all (Opera Mini gets stuck on connected). I tried to disconnect and reconnect to the network manually, and that works, but only for another 30 seconds, then the same thing happens. I tried this with the N97 integratet browser and Opera Mini, with the same results.
Mind you that I'm using the same wireless network on my laptop and it works with no problems. Also, note that I did use other WLAN networks with the N97 and they as well work with no problems. It's just my home metwork the phone seems to have issue with, and I'd like to know why, and how (if possible) i can fix this.
By a sudden, the mobile stopped browsing with my home WLAN. For 1 day back it was working perfectly. I could not get any support from nokia website, so can someone helps me to solve this issue.I'm effective browser with WLAN to save money from using telecom mobile.

I've tried hard reseting my phone, but the thing is i've put on a lock code. So whenever i turn my cell on it asks for lock code which i can't input cause of the touch screen being down. Now i really wanna get my precious data out of the mass memory. The phone memo doesn't matter since i got backup.

Power saving is off, internet is the only access point available (I have deleted all the packet data conections as they are not on my plan and i do not want to go over what i already pay)I have disabled and enabled HSDPA to no avail. It makes no difference. It's really starting to annoy me as i have no idea how to sort the problem. It was working earlier now it refuses to work, it connects though i dont get a progress bar coming up checking internet connectivity.could this be something to do with it? I have it enabled in settings.

View 12 Replies View Relatedi noticed that when i use wireless connection on nokia x3-02, speed is not that good (i use the same wireless with my laptop and speeds are much better). also, if i browse Internet with opera mini (connected to wlan) and want to watch the video in hq (normal is by default) i get the message: "not enough bandwidth, quality less than normal". internet connection to my provider is 8mbps, so i think this should not happen. it seems to me that nokia x3-02 wlan interface speed is much lower then it should be...
View 3 Replies View RelatedI had nokia x3-02 for few days now, but It drained away my credits by entering the internet via gprs & edge, although I have a wireless router, so I sat it up to gsm network only & deleted the phone company or (service provider) Internet settings, & now I can't seem to get ovi store online or even comunities application too,it keeps giving me an error message ( unable to connect to service, try again later ) & ( network connection error, try again later ) though web browsing via opera & nokia browsers works just fine & I saved my wlan settings but it keeps asking me still in browsers to choose my access point, but that's tolerable at least, but I don't know why these both apps can't get online, they did when I had phone service provider internet, but not through wireless network now, & the router is in the same room & the signal is so strong if you're asking?

There is a security key on my router but when I connect through my Nokia Phone, it doesn't ask for any key (with my Laptop, I can connect to the WLAN with the preshared key). It simply connects to the router without they key and when I start browsing, it says "No Gateway Reply". Thinking this might be the settings problem I soft reset my phone but still the problem remains. The point is, it only does this with my own router. Anyone know how to sort this out?

My AP uses static IP address, and it is setup correct also the phone, but when I want to connect to internet by native browser, system shows error(translated to English) "invalid server name", it shows in others applications too but there was different errors names depending on application. I can only get access to my router, access point and devices connected to internal network(behind router like PC's, laptops or others), in public places like schools or government institutions I don't have troubles with connecting to internet. Problem 1:
The camera doesn't work. I open the camera application with both methods (button on side and icon in apps) but it does the red dot thing in the corner for about 4-6 seconds then disappears and applications tells me the app is running. I try to go to the app but it wont go on it.
Problem 2:
The green key, dialler and contacts icon on the home screen do not work at all. I have no way of opening my dialler as there is no option for it.
I updated my firmware to v40.0.005 last week. Please be aware the problems were both there BEFORE i made the update and are still here after the update.Is there any way of doing this without soft/hard resetting. Also, does soft/hard reset mean you lose the data in an app (eg your high scores in a game like bagatelle)?

All of sudden a couple of days ago, the app will only work at home. I have tried it at several places that I have checked in at before, all of them outside, and Foursquare cannot find a signal, it shows a signal icon with an X in it.... and I cannot check-in at the venue.
