The support section refers to outdated versions, e.g. suggesting to buy licenses, etc. There is also no walktrough for the new interface or its features. Aug 8, 2012Software update and the Ovi store recommended that I update to Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 on my N8 running Belle.I did so over the air from the Ovi store link. Installation didn't interact with me but phone eventually restarted. Maps wouldn't work i.e. selecting the shortcut or going into the menu and locating the Maps icon would not launch it and my wired headset WH-701 was no longer recognised when I inserted it. Checked installed apps - Maps not there.
Did a soft restart *#7780# and when the phone restarted had my headphones back BUT no maps Last night did the Ovi store link again from my broadband router this time with the phone in offline mode and wifi on. Installation was a lot more interactive giving progress on each app being installed. It did give a 'running out of memory on c: drive' error a couple of times (I had checked before the installation and had 25Mb). Phone restarted, maps was terrific, even showing locations of pics I'd taken with the phone and offering me public transport timetables in U.S. cities but ... headphones not recognized when inserted!

Nov 17, 2011Ovi maps app. is not connecting with net. Unable to download voice guidance language,my city map is not loading,not being able to search the destination. Whenever i start the maps app. it shows unable to connect with internet. Whenever i search a destination it shows "searching offline". Am using Nokia c5-03 and It shows as the latest update.

Aug 4, 2010I bought an X6 last week. I realized later, after signing a contract for 2 years, that the phone doesn't support Chinese or any European languages. It only comes with English and Philipino. If I get a text in Chinese, it won't display...it just displays squares. Nor can I use the keyboard to input Chinese characters.
Nokia won't provide a solution. They won't supply a software upgrade. The dealers privately tell me I would have to take it to a non-authorized repairer to get a software change or try to find some software elsewhere, maybe a torrent file or from some other untrustworthy software source.

Jan 24, 2010I have a Nokia 5800 Nav Edition. I just upgraded to the new 3.03 Ovi maps. Does Ovi Maps speak out street names in the route navigation?? For me it just says "Turn right in 1 mile" .. no street name! It would be very helpful if this feature was included. Am I missing something on how to enable text to speech so that it speaks street names?

May 8, 2010I am using a nokia 5230 with maps 3.03.When i click on my position inside the app it doesn't locate any satellites, the bottom where the bars are there is only one yellow flashing light.When i click a location and select drive to, it just gets stuck on waiting for GPS and the yellow light for satellites keeps blinking and im outside without any cloud cover!.
Also one more thing, i downloaded the male_us voice pack, what folder do i put it in for it to show up? i tried putting it in E:citiesmale_us and in E:citiesdiskcachemale_us and E:citiesdiskcacheviocesmale_us and none of them show up in the options where you slect them.it still prompts me to download them.i don't have a data plan and this phone doesn't support WIFI.
