May 14, 2010Why Nokia removed support for map 3.00 on e63 with newest firmware?! I used Maps 3.0 without any trouble but now i can only use Maps 2.0!

The support section refers to outdated versions, e.g. suggesting to buy licenses, etc. There is also no walktrough for the new interface or its features. Aug 8, 2012Software update and the Ovi store recommended that I update to Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 on my N8 running Belle.I did so over the air from the Ovi store link. Installation didn't interact with me but phone eventually restarted. Maps wouldn't work i.e. selecting the shortcut or going into the menu and locating the Maps icon would not launch it and my wired headset WH-701 was no longer recognised when I inserted it. Checked installed apps - Maps not there.
Did a soft restart *#7780# and when the phone restarted had my headphones back BUT no maps Last night did the Ovi store link again from my broadband router this time with the phone in offline mode and wifi on. Installation was a lot more interactive giving progress on each app being installed. It did give a 'running out of memory on c: drive' error a couple of times (I had checked before the installation and had 25Mb). Phone restarted, maps was terrific, even showing locations of pics I'd taken with the phone and offering me public transport timetables in U.S. cities but ... headphones not recognized when inserted!

Nov 17, 2011Ovi maps app. is not connecting with net. Unable to download voice guidance language,my city map is not loading,not being able to search the destination. Whenever i start the maps app. it shows unable to connect with internet. Whenever i search a destination it shows "searching offline". Am using Nokia c5-03 and It shows as the latest update.

May 20, 2010I understand the maps don't support turn by turn voice guiding at this stage, but I thought ovi maps would at least be able to show a driving view instead of a birds eye view for navigation...Might be a bit of a lamens question, but if anyone could shed some light, I'd appreciate it. I'm in Australia and Sygic is not available. I'd purchase it if it was available.

Feb 7, 2010Some minutes ago i tried to flash the newest firmware again to get my phones internet (not WiFi) running again. I did the same with previous versions some month ago so i know the behavior of NSU.
Normally, if you already have the most recent firmware installed on your phone and you try to update, NSU tells you that there is no update available and that you could install the current one again.
If you have a firmware installed which is newer than the most recent one for your ProductCode, NSU tells you that there is no update available but it doesnt give you the option to install "the current one" again.
Ok, as i tried to install 21.0.045 again - and i didn't changed my ProductCode - NSU didn't gave me the option to install the current one again. Nokia has removed Firmware 21.0.045, at least for the ProductCode!

Feb 4, 2010I have a N85 Navi which I bought less than a year ago. I updated this week the maps and the application (latest version)and added one voice for the navigation. After this update when I open the Maps and select Settings and Navigation (to change i.e. voice), Maps closes automatically without any error messages. I can open all the other settings sub-menus. Any ideas why this is happening? Do I have the to re-install the application, maps and voices?

Apr 17, 2010I am using Nokia Maps 3.03 on my E71 (language: German) plus Nokia Map Loader 3.0, but I am experiencing several problems: Nokia Maps goes online via Internet for a few seconds (which costs me) although I set it to my Wireless connection. How can I switch that off? Every time I load a new map (and voices) via Map Loader and then start the software on my E71, it tells me that the maps are out-dated and I need to delete them. But then I do not see any maps in the software, and also the load of the voice is gone.

I have a problem with my Maps Application. Firstly I only have 9 icons on the Maps display page instead of the 10 that is shown on the Nokia website, I have found I do not have the Michelin guides........any ideas why?
I cannot download the Here and Now 2.0, it states that the Installation failed and have tried many times to reinstall it. Does this have anything to do with the missing Michelin Guide icon not being there?
Nokia :: Maps 3.01 / Maps Load Screen / Empty Map / No Keys Work
Jan 22, 2010I updated today to Maps 3.01. (To be noted that Ovi Suite still considers there is a new version of Maps available and would download and install 3.01 again any times I click on update.) When starting Maps the load screen with progress bar appears, then I can see an "empty" map. No keys work. After a few seconds (around 10 or so) the phone restarts.I deleted Cities folder and the file QF, rebooted, reinstalled etc. nothing helps.

Aug 10, 2010I've bought a new 5800 Xpress music recently and have three questions with Ovi maps:
1. I don't see any satellite (photo) maps when selecting the satellite mode in the display options; instead, the map is just filled with a pattern of alternating dark green and light green linear areas. How do I enable real satellite data, as shown in the attached picture?
2. The update speed of the map when navigating on foot or by car seems very slow. Is there some way to increase / improve this?
3. The phone doesn't seem to recognize really well if I hold it vertically or horizontally. Can I improve that behavior, or switch between manually?

Jul 5, 2010I had my official mailbox set up on E72 and recently i removed the mailbox due to issues with sync. Mailbox got removed without any issues, however when i click on email one touch key, it still goes to the old mailbox & asks for pwd for connecting. Shudn't removing mailbox clean up everything? I also see this old mailbox name appear under email>global settings>homescreen>. This is strange and annoying. Is there a way i can clean up old mailbox w/o doing hard reset?

Apr 27, 2010About a month ago I bought the Nokia 5800 as I wanted the free Sat Nav, I have version 3.01 on the phone, when I phoned Nokia about something else I asked them about version 3.03 and they told me I could not install this until I had used all the days of my 10 free trial, then I was to ring them again and they would help install it for me, after 55 minutes on the phone we had no joy, so I decided to try myself and did it first time. Now the question I need answered with your help is, I am going to Italy in June and when I open the GPS (offline) it works fine in the UK where I live, and when I input the town Pisa, Italy it finds it on the maps, does this mean that the Sat Nav will work in Italy or is this just a map?
When you download version 3.03 does it download all the maps?Also is there anyway I can find out which maps I have on the phone?

Sorry if this has been asked already but a couple of things :How do I check what maps are actually installed on my phone?How do I know if there are newer map versions available than whats installed on my phone?Im asking this because I noticed the Ireland map on maps.ovi.com is more up to date than whats on my phone. I installed the Ireland map again using ovi suite on my pc but it's still missing some new details that are found on the maps.ovi.com map.

May 20, 2010I`ve tried to upgrade my Nokia 6210 Navigator from Nokia maps 2.0 to Ovi maps 3.01 but it. Doesn’t seems to work. If i try to upgrade it with the old Nokia map updater it just says: Cannot get enough information about the phone unspecified error. Can anyone tell me if this is possible? The error message that shows up in the phone is: It doesn’t work to install this file, the unit is built in! And in Ovi Suite it says: The file is in use. Another application is using nokia_ maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.1_lm_rom.sis /I´ve also tried to uninstall the version og Nokia maps that is installed on the phone but that doesn’t seems to be an option ! Any one who has a clue of something that can solve my problem?
