My 3GS 16gb does not support maps as the phone gets switch off automatically even of I use safari the issue is the same

I have been all over the web, FB'ing it to Nokia and to StraightTalk, and I am STILL unclear. I just got my E71 about a month ago and already it's saying I have used over 2 of the 4gigs that came with the phone. Don't see how, but okay. I went and got a 16GB card. A Mobile microSDHC by SanDisk. First of all, I've been getting conflicting reports that this phone will not even accept a 16GB card. Second, are there any important Apps preloaded by Nokia on this pre-installed card that I need to worry about possibly losing. I bought a bluetooth connector for my laptop, a dual-ended usb for data transfer from phone to PC and I also have 30GB of SugarSync. No adapter came with the 16GB card I just bought, but I have an unopened 4GB card by same manufacturer that does have an adapter. If this is your prescribed method, can the 16GB card go in the 4GB adapter? I really don't want to lose anything on my phone, especially none of OVI Maps, which I heard part of might be on this 4GB card. But I don't want to lose the apps I paid for either. I can't switch much to the phone memory, I have only 55MB.

Whenever I visit a certain site (yes, it's a family friendly site) my Safari browser gets redirected to an advertisement for a not-so-family-friendly site. The phone is not jailbroken, and though it is connected to a wireless network, neither of my other computers are having an issue. I also disconnected the phone from the wifi and got the same results on Safari with the same site using my network provider. I cleared the cookies and history, then restarted to no avail. I even restored the phone to factory settings but no luck.

Having problems with the free maps application, which I have updated from the software update application from within the phone.
The problem is it worked fine the first time I used it but did take a while to lock on a signal, every time I have used it since (or tried to use it I should say) it has either crashed the whole phone or just gone back to home screen closing the app.
I have tried turning agps, network etc off with no luck.
I have purchase apple i4s . While using my phone has switch off 2 times ?

I got a white iPhone 4S Factory unlocked from the Apple store in US 2 months ago, and I am currently in India.
I seem to have a hardware issue on my phone. I am unable to switch off my phone. Every time I switch off, the phone turns back on in less than 2 seconds. How can Apple make such a device which turns defective within two months?
I called up the support number in India, and they helped me restore the phone a couple of times. (With apps, without apps etc), did no good.

Bit the bullet today and put my proper Orange SIM in the 'phone rather than the PAYG test one and went out and about. I'm used to collecting mail over the mobile data connection but use WiFi if available - but the Desire Z does not seem to switch automatically?

When i switch on the mobile its automatically switch off and then on again. It Atuomatically Switch on and off again and again many times till it gets ON fully. someone told me that its software get corrupted you may need to flash out the software and re-install.

My wifi reception is very poor upstairs and I end up using mobile data when I sleep, unless I switch it off before sleeping, which can be a little annoying. View 2 Replies View RelatedOvi Maps 3.04 seems to work well on my E72. At first I got spoken navigation instructions, both from the phone speaker and a connected Bluetooth device SuperTooth. Somehow these instructions disappeared and a symbol, a faint crossed-out loudspeaker, appeared in the top right hand side of the screen. So I probably inadvertently switched off the spoken instructions, but I cannot find how to switch them back on. The manual doesn't mention the possibility nor the symbol.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSoftware update and the Ovi store recommended that I update to Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 on my N8 running Belle.I did so over the air from the Ovi store link. Installation didn't interact with me but phone eventually restarted. Maps wouldn't work i.e. selecting the shortcut or going into the menu and locating the Maps icon would not launch it and my wired headset WH-701 was no longer recognised when I inserted it. Checked installed apps - Maps not there.
Did a soft restart *#7780# and when the phone restarted had my headphones back BUT no maps Last night did the Ovi store link again from my broadband router this time with the phone in offline mode and wifi on. Installation was a lot more interactive giving progress on each app being installed. It did give a 'running out of memory on c: drive' error a couple of times (I had checked before the installation and had 25Mb). Phone restarted, maps was terrific, even showing locations of pics I'd taken with the phone and offering me public transport timetables in U.S. cities but ... headphones not recognized when inserted!
Ovi maps app. is not connecting with net. Unable to download voice guidance language,my city map is not loading,not being able to search the destination. Whenever i start the maps app. it shows unable to connect with internet. Whenever i search a destination it shows "searching offline". Am using Nokia c5-03 and It shows as the latest update.

How can I switch it to make it go darker at night so there isn't as much glare. My old Incredible did this without any input from me.I have the Navigation dock and was using that I also had the screen settings set for auto detect day or night.

They started it all up for me, and I came home and synced all my apps etc. But i found that they weren't downloading and I couldn't access safari and therefore couldn't open up gmail etc. So I decided to restore my iphone to original settings. That has helped with being able to download all my apps but I still can't access safari. I'm not sure what to do now. And feel that I will have to return to town and get it sorted out.

I am having a wierd problem with my iphone 4. I had to recently restore from my backup and ever since I am unable to click on any URL or Phone# within the notes section of the calendar entry! It would not launch Safari to open the URL or launch phone dialer to dial the number!The URL and number are formatted correctly. These appointments/calender entries are sent by other people to me which I had accepted earlier before the restore. It used to be running just fine and this anomaly started all of a sudden now.
When I pause for 1-2 seconds on the hyperlink it does present me the option prompt to open the URL in Safari or to Copy the URL. Selecting the option to open in Safari does not do anything and the option prompt closes.
When I pause for 1-2 seconds on the phone number, it does present me the option prompt to dial/copy/etc... and selecting "call xxx-xxx-xxxx' option actually flickers a bit, shows the prompt again and then switches to the phone dialer. But this is so annoying that it wouldn't recognize single short touch to open the phone dialer immediately!I have restored my phone twice now & synched it up many times but this issue still remains.

iphone 3gs 3.1.2 here's my issue. i downloaded unlimvideo app from cydia. worked fine, streamed movies, etc. well, they updated, and the movies wouldn't stream anymore. so.... they said a temporary fix would be to download safari download toggle, and i did. well, it won't play movies, it won't play Internet videos (only sound), and it won't even play videos i have recorded with my phone (only sound). i removed safari download toggle, and it's still the same thing. when it does pull up my media player, it looks all out of whack. gonna attach a pic of what it looks like when trying to load a Internet video. i thought i would just restore my phone, but apple has come out with a new firmware that i don't want to update to, and itunes apparently absolutely insist that when you restore, you have to update.

Once I click on it it doesn't let me go any further. It will let me hit the home button and back out to the home screen, but nothing else.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using Ovi Maps 3.03 since it came out on my E55 and I generally prefer it over my TomTom. There are however a couple of problems with it - one major, the other minor.The big problem is that it occasionally crashes; the application exits and I'm left with the menu screen. This is more than a nuisance when driving, as it takes a lot of button pressing to get back to the route. The problem seems to have started (hard to tell, as it only happens occasionally) when I used Map Loader for the first time and followed the instructions to reinstall the application, apparently with the same version. I have since uninstalled that copy and returned to the version I originally downloaded, but it hasn't made a difference.Is this a common problem? I don't suppose voice commands work with Maps, do they?The other problem is that the screensaver kicks in after 30-90 seconds - the screen goes dark - except when a route is set. Is there any way to disable this?
