Some minutes ago i tried to flash the newest firmware again to get my phones internet (not WiFi) running again. I did the same with previous versions some month ago so i know the behavior of NSU.
Normally, if you already have the most recent firmware installed on your phone and you try to update, NSU tells you that there is no update available and that you could install the current one again.
If you have a firmware installed which is newer than the most recent one for your ProductCode, NSU tells you that there is no update available but it doesnt give you the option to install "the current one" again.
Ok, as i tried to install 21.0.045 again - and i didn't changed my ProductCode - NSU didn't gave me the option to install the current one again. Nokia has removed Firmware 21.0.045, at least for the ProductCode!

I'm representing a Fortune 500 Mobile Software Apps* company that would like you to assist in a survey that we are conducting the moment. Please be aware that your contribution is voluntarely. See the attached Menu and Application screen. All useless additional applications that unfortunately cannot be removed from the N97 are in the folder Rommel. Really curious how you have tweaked (maimed) your device.
Well I have E72 mobile phone, after updating its software, the "Chat" applciation (found in Application) was removed for no reason ! Although previously it was available and I was using it frequently.I searched for it in the "Ovi store" but I did not find it. So I really appreciate if anyone could help me in solving that issue since I don't want to use other chat app's.
I have the E72 nokia and in the middle bottom of my phone there is a continous flahing mail icon which I am not sure what it means or how to aknowledge or remove it.
I clicked some photos in my phone and transferred them to memory card, but even when I remove the card I am still able to see those images in photos section! Where is it saved? Im sure there are no leftovers in Mass Memory Images folder.
i recentl removed an application on my mobile, the app's gone but the Icon is still in the installation folder can someone please advise on how to remove the icon.
I had my official mailbox set up on E72 and recently i removed the mailbox due to issues with sync. Mailbox got removed without any issues, however when i click on email one touch key, it still goes to the old mailbox & asks for pwd for connecting. Shudn't removing mailbox clean up everything? I also see this old mailbox name appear under email>global settings>homescreen>. This is strange and annoying. Is there a way i can clean up old mailbox w/o doing hard reset?
i have someone problem in phone. automatically they saying to removing my memory card without safty removing. so i have to restart my phone to get back connect my memory card. i have tried new sd card but problem persists . Why have they removed the ability to have a space in your email username. Was there on the 5800XM.. Must be more ppl than me that have corporate email with usernames with spaces in. Anyone know how to solve this? (and nope I can't remove the space)
i have accidentally removed my preset social widget in nokia n8. I donot like the widgets in updated versions. After factory reset a message displayed ...error occurred widget removed. How can i get back to previous version?
I installed internet radio on my N8 through Ovi store without any problems but when I try to add the internet radio widget to my home screen I get the message "Error occurred. Widget removed". The app runs fine only the widget is not working. I have tried to re-install but that didn't work. Running PR 1.1 on my N8.
I have a Bell Blackberry Bold 9700 and I just switch to Rogers! Would it be *better if I flash the rogers firmware on the phone, or leave it with the bell firmware? The rogers one is .351 and the bell one is .423 ...I guess I was wondering if the rogers would be better since i'm on the Rogers network
Just noticed that the E72 has been updated to 22.007 (at least on my product code) on NSU. I haven't checked on FOTA. As usual there is no changelog (yet). Just going to update my phone.
I Ran a firmware update through nokia pc suite as I have done numerous times. Only time time my N97 is now screwed! Lost all the home page functions like apps and options and would default to the menu screen and whilst trying to connect back to PC Suite to try and re run it now has frozen in the "Nokia" Loading screen. Is there a manual way to reset the phone to factory setting?
Yesterday, I was rejoicing when I found out Nokia outed the N97's latest firmware. Among the enhancements was "improved music player." The moment I got home from work, I set out to update my N97 to 21.0.045. To my disappointment, I don't see what was improved from 20.x.x version. And to make things even more disappointing, gapless playback is still not a function I can turn on.SERIOUSLY!It is 2010. Can we get gapless music playback functionality in the music player? Or is live music something Finnish people don't listen to? I cannot imagine that I'm the only person in the world who thinks this is an important function in a music player. Am I?!? The N91 didn't have it. Fine. It was the first major multimedia phone from Nokia. The N95 didn't have it. What? Okay, maybe they're still working on it. The 5800 XpressMusic didn't have it. Wait. A marketed music phone doesn't have this basic feature which exists on pretty much decade old **bleep** mp3 players? The N97 still doesn't have it. Seriosly. Somebody? Do Nokia engineers not listen to music at all? Nobody at Espoo listens to live music?
I've read that there is a firmware upgrade that would allow me to use the new Ovi maps with free driving directions and various other nice tweaks and so on to make the phone much more reliable. I'm locked in to 3 at the moment - and I could unlock from them for a £15 fee - but I don't know whether this will then allow me to upgrade the firmware to the latest verision?
A new firmware has been made available for the N97. I updated yesterdat & its 22.0.110 now. NO new features added. If you know whats new in this release, please reply or post a link for the changelog.
My n97 is nearly always critical for space on the main c drive of the phone. Is it true there is a new firmware release that sorts this and leave alot more space on the main drive? If it is true- when will it be on general release? I have seen some sites suggesting some sort of 'illegal' fix which I dont want any part of.
I just received a SMS message that there is a new firmware out for the N97, but when running Software Update it doesn't appear in the list. if there is a new FW out and where I can find it?
I have noticed the free ovi maps app has appeared in my FOTA updater? Will this be incorporated into v2.1 firmware or shall I just install it and wait for the firmware release? Which, btw, is today right?
I've got a Nokia E71-2 RM-357 and the current firmware is 200.21.118. After checking online with the product code what firmware I am eligeble for, apparently that is the latest one, however I am seeing a LOT of people enjoying 410.21.010.Is it at all possible for me to upgrade to this version? Or something newer at least? I'm having some issues with my E71 turning off on its own and doing some very random things.
A bit of a strange problem and I hope someone can help.Last week I checked my phone using the update phone software application and it told me that the new firmware (v400) was available for me. I didn't have time to do the update then but as I knew it was available I started doing the backups and getting everything ready to update it.Today, as I had time, I tried to do the update only to find that Nokia is now saying that there is no update for my product code. My product code is 0568325 which should be a UK unbranded code so I dont understand why I can't update the firmware.
22.007 has been out since forever, and it's basically only the second update since this phone was introduced. Has Nokia forgotten the E72? It sure needs a firmware update: -Little available memory, applications (especially the browser with a big website) terminate for nothing and "memory full" messages occur very frequently. This is actually the biggest issue. -The camera application sometimes is quite buggy and even the phone restarts after a photo is taken. -videos have some lag, especially if you zoom while shooting and using the phone memory doesn't help very much. -sometimes (especially in the ovi store app) if you start typing in a box the first two letters appear in the opposite order than typed. -The gallery application can't be terminated using the app manager (by pressing the home button for a couple of seconds) when the app is hidden. -The trackpad sensitivity could be improved (especially when using it in the browser).
I'm rather dissapointed with the E72 when it comes to GPS usage. It seems to have low sensitivity and loses the signal quite often (in the car). My benchmark is a stand-alone antenna (Holux) but even using a 6220 Classic with the internal GPS I seem to get a more solid GPS reception. Right now I'm still using my old Holux since the E72 doesn't seem to be reliable enough to do in-car navigation. While on the outside it appears to work slightly better but still takes ages for a first fix (with AGPS or without).
