And im trying to connect via WLAN to my home broadband, which is a Linksys one. I can scan for all the WLAN networks and i can find my network, but when i connect and put in the WEP key it doesn't connect! It says WLAN: Unable to Connect.... there was this one time i managed to connect for a while but then it said No response from gateway..

I don't know if I have a bad cord or am missing software. I operate my other devices through Rhapsody (realplayer). My phone does not show up on it. Shouldn't something just pop up when I connect my 5130?

My AP uses static IP address, and it is setup correct also the phone, but when I want to connect to internet by native browser, system shows error(translated to English) "invalid server name", it shows in others applications too but there was different errors names depending on application. I can only get access to my router, access point and devices connected to internal network(behind router like PC's, laptops or others), in public places like schools or government institutions I don't have troubles with connecting to internet. Error is occurred only in my and some of my friends private networks. I am sure that's my phone is setup correct, because in this same configuration laptop is working. Why I can't connect with external network?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen i connect my 5630 XPress music phone via PC Suite, a ballon connfirms that Nokia 5630 connected. But whenever i try to install application or do any other work via PC suite, it gives an error saying that connection to the phone lost.
Moreover, when i plug usb to ma computer and to my phone, computer finds a hardware named " MTP", computer tries to install it but gives an error saying that a problem occured during hardware installation and it might not work properly
I'm experiencing strange behavior in my Nokia 5630. When i got it i added 3 WiFi points without a problem to "Internet destinations". But recently, whenever i try to add an WiFi access point, it puts it into the "Uncategorised destinations". And i cannot move it to other folder (i select move, and choose Internet, but it throws me out to main menu). Because of this i cannot use new WiFi on applications which check the "Internet destinations" for available WiFis.And few unrelated questions:
- has anyone had experience with NCP VPN client for symbian?
- is there a application like Smart Connect for this phone? I think Smart Connect is only for N and E series?
the 5630 comes with a nice function to read text messages aloud. However, this function works only with UK English. Most messages I receive, are not in English, as I'm currently in Germany and bought the phone in Germany. Any chance to get other support for other languages, esp. German and Spanish on the phone?

Also, sometimes my pc doesn't crash ( i dont know why) but even then when i connect the mobile to the pc via usb, my pc continusly tries to install it as new hardware instead of detecting it in Pc Suite, and even then it never detects or installs it...
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded the firmware from v31.0.101 to v50.0.005 and I had the unpleasent surprise to find that the music player is no longer working. It plays only the files stored in the phone memory and is unable to update the library. It shows music files on the memory card that were deleted longtime ago and refresh library does not change anything: always shows refresh complete 0 files added. When I connect the phone to the PC, the Ovi Player doesn't see the phone and even the device manager shows that there is a problem with the portable device (conneced in PC Suite or Media Transfer modes). Done even a hard reset but nothing has changed except that it has lost the applications it had in the phone memory.

Well, I installed the software, downloaded plenty of songs, all good on so on.However, last night my Windows 7 installation imploded. The only solution was to reinstall the damn thing. This lead to a serious problem with the Ovi Player.
When I run Ovi Player and try to open the store, it just has a message saying that the store is not available right now, check Internet connection or try again later. But the store is indeed working just fine for my brother on another computer, and works from the phone itself. So for some reason, it's just happening for me. So basically I can't download anything or listen to anything I've already downloaded, because I can't even try to register the player to use this computer so I can't play any of the files due to the DRM stuff and the original Ovi installation being lost in the reinstall (the files themselves I still have). I don't really even know if I can set this new installation as the active computer since there's the 3-month limit thing (which is stupid anyway, and I'd never pay for DRM'd digital media anyway, but as the phone came with the CWM code I figured I'd try it out). But as it is I can't even try and can't even browse the store at all.Any ideas on what to do to get the damn software to work? Reinstalling the player didn't help.
I Bought Nokia 5310 Xpress music before one week. I dont know where is the problem. Music play very quiet. Maybe someone can help me ?

Tried to take memory card out n turning it on, but it didn't work. Taking out the battery and leaving the phone alone for 10 minutes didn't. Can you please help me fix this problem?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new Nokia 5800 Xpress music, i updated it to V40 and just after that updated my ovi maps application, while transfering maps using maps uploader, nokia pc suite appears and i got a message "another accurance of maps is opened" i closed it.
Now everything works, nokia maps opens normally but when i do a zoom out it closes and i must reopen it, i downloaded the latest version as a sis file and installed it, i also installed added the maps again but i got the same result, i'm not able to use nokia maps at all.
I have had my Nokia 500 music Xpress for approx 8 mths now and i love it but about a month ago it turned itself off and i thought it was just a one off, it happened a few times, I would remove battery and sim and put them back in and turn phone back on. I will a get few days when i have no problems and then it will do it again sometimes 5 or 6 times a day.
Yesterday It happened and i really thought it was not going to come back on. Eventually got it back on but i havent a clue why it should keep doing this and don't have a clue what to do to rissolve it... is it the software/battery or the phone?
i think i got a virus on my Nokia 5800 what can i do??

View 14 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Nokia 5800 XM. However, there seems to be a problem with WLAN connectivity. The phone can successfully search for available networks, and when I choose "Connect" the WLAN icon appears at the top right corner (as if it successfully connected). But, when I try to use the web browser, it pops up connectivity options (as if it is not connected to any WLAN network even though the antenna icon is there). I can choose the same WLAN from the options, but then it says "connection already active" and fails. When I open connection manager it doesn't list any active connections. A strange situation! I've upgraded its software to the latest version but that didn't solve the problem. Any ideas why this may be happening and how to solve it?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI bought my wife an E72 yeasterday. After we charged the battery up and turned it on, everything seemed to work alright. I set up the WLAN connection on my wireless at home, and I tested the use of Facebook, MySpace, etc. Her SIM card needs to be topped up, so the phone keeps saying "SIM Registration Failed." We're going to top it up this morning, so no worries about that. This morning she tried using the Facebook app, but instead of conecting via WLAN, it says "Connecting via IDEAS" which is the Singtel SIM card here in Singapore. I've manually connected to my Wifi network here, and even went to the connection manager to set the priority to 1. The app still doesn't connect via WLAN, and instead tries to use the SIM. When she does top up her card, this could be a quick money waster, especially when we have an abundance of Wifi connectivity so how do I get the web-based apps to use WLAN over anything else?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've a Nokia C3-00 and Sitecom WL-174 Wireless Network ADSL 2+ Modem Router 54g TURBO.
The WiFi/Modem router is working fine with PC but not with my C3-00. I'm sure there is no issue of access protection mechanism ( I switched Off psswd and MAC filter to be sure). My C3-00 see the router and initiate the protocol to get IP address from the router but it fails : "connesione WLAN non riuscita"
I'm quite sure the issue is in a sort of not compatibility between the router DHCP and the mobile because I experienced same issue with Nokia E51 on which I sorted out assigning statip IP address to it.
The issue with Nokia C3-00 is that there is no way to assign static IP Address from menu. I tried to contact Nokia support but no answer . even at the Nokia service in my town (Catania) they don't know how to do it .
I got my Nokia last june. I have a problem though. I cannot enable my phone code. I changed the initial code 12345 but it won't get enabled. I have another question. The security code (of the phone) is it the same with the code you have to press everytime I unlock my phone? That is the code I am looking for.
