when I want to connect to a wlan it says that a connection is already active and i need to close it to connect but no connection is active.I hard reseted it and putted the new software on but still the same problem,can you put a smile on my face?

While I can connect to BTOpenzone I am unable to connect to the internet and hence to the BTOpenzone log in web page.A blank screen appears with Javascript Probe written at the top a the screen.My question is can the 5530 connect to the internet via btopenzone? If yes, does any one know what I have to do to be able to do this?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Nokia 5800 XM. However, there seems to be a problem with WLAN connectivity. The phone can successfully search for available networks, and when I choose "Connect" the WLAN icon appears at the top right corner (as if it successfully connected). But, when I try to use the web browser, it pops up connectivity options (as if it is not connected to any WLAN network even though the antenna icon is there). I can choose the same WLAN from the options, but then it says "connection already active" and fails. When I open connection manager it doesn't list any active connections. A strange situation! I've upgraded its software to the latest version but that didn't solve the problem. Any ideas why this may be happening and how to solve it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I select a WiFi network from the E72 home page, it shows me the option to "Start web browsing".(The other 2 options at this stage are "Search for WLAN" and "Switch WLAN scan off". When I select the option to "Start web browsing", I get a list of bookmarks for the browser. But when I select any of those bookmarks, I get an error message "WLAN: WLAN connection already active. Close it and try again". Has anyone seen this before ? Any clues as to how to solve this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using Nokia 5530 XpressMusic Phone for some months. The problem started a month ago when I tried to connect to my WLAN router. There is a security key on my router but when I connect through my Nokia Phone, it doesn't ask for any key (with my Laptop, I can connect to the WLAN with the preshared key). It simply connects to the router without they key and when I start browsing, it says "No Gateway Reply". Thinking this might be the settings problem I soft reset my phone but still the problem remains. The point is, it only does this with my own router. Anyone know how to sort this out?
View 8 Replies View RelatedOk so here is the deal, I'm using up-to-date(v. 20.0.080) nokia 5530 and today while I was using TuneWiki my WLAN got disconnected. So I tried to reconnect and found my wifi option completely gone. Now I can't even try to connect to WLAN, as if wifi option was disabled or erased. I already tried restarting the phone, resetting phone to original settings, removing battery for a while. I don't know what to do, so if someone dealt with similar problem please help or at least advice me what should I do next.

View 25 Replies View RelatedI bought my wife an E72 yeasterday. After we charged the battery up and turned it on, everything seemed to work alright. I set up the WLAN connection on my wireless at home, and I tested the use of Facebook, MySpace, etc. Her SIM card needs to be topped up, so the phone keeps saying "SIM Registration Failed." We're going to top it up this morning, so no worries about that. This morning she tried using the Facebook app, but instead of conecting via WLAN, it says "Connecting via IDEAS" which is the Singtel SIM card here in Singapore. I've manually connected to my Wifi network here, and even went to the connection manager to set the priority to 1. The app still doesn't connect via WLAN, and instead tries to use the SIM. When she does top up her card, this could be a quick money waster, especially when we have an abundance of Wifi connectivity so how do I get the web-based apps to use WLAN over anything else?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've a Nokia C3-00 and Sitecom WL-174 Wireless Network ADSL 2+ Modem Router 54g TURBO.
The WiFi/Modem router is working fine with PC but not with my C3-00. I'm sure there is no issue of access protection mechanism ( I switched Off psswd and MAC filter to be sure). My C3-00 see the router and initiate the protocol to get IP address from the router but it fails : "connesione WLAN non riuscita"
I'm quite sure the issue is in a sort of not compatibility between the router DHCP and the mobile because I experienced same issue with Nokia E51 on which I sorted out assigning statip IP address to it.
The issue with Nokia C3-00 is that there is no way to assign static IP Address from menu. I tried to contact Nokia support but no answer . even at the Nokia service in my town (Catania) they don't know how to do it .
I have setup my emails with Email Wizard. I could read my emails several times through both GPRS and WLAN. But it happened and I couldn't read my email through my WLAN connection. It asks me the passwords of all mail accounts. I enter them and it says "Connecting" but then suddenly disconnects. I can browse internet with the regular browser, there is no problem. But what is the problem with the e-mail application? How can i fix this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a N73, I have a mail account on Google. I created a mailbox in my phone, configured it with all settings. I enabled Automatic email retrieval and the interval time was 2 hrs. All worked fine. I got the notification in first run. I noticed that my packet data connection was active for whole day, in result phone battery was consumed too early.
I just want to know these two things:
1. Why the packet data connection is active all time? Cant it active only on the retrieval hours. Not in the idle position?
2. Why the email alert notifications has just stopped showing NEW EMAIL
I am just missing my important mails due to this problem of notification.
Frequently, a couple of seconds after ending a call with someone on my 5800, the screen is filled with the message "packet data connection active" for a moment. The message won't go away by clicking on the screen. The only way to force it away is by clicking the red button, but that would also take me away from whatever menu or application I was at, so I'd prefer not to do that. Also, I don't want to change to connectivity settings per se, (as seen in, for example, this topic: [URL]). Rather, is there any way to disable just the message?

I do not have a data plan but I use WLAN at various locations, and there is a list of access points in the Settings.I have a home access point configured with WPA2 and I have all the settings saved in the Connection Manager (or is it WLAN Wizard - I don't know). When the phone is not connected to any AP and I use a program that wants data, it will almost always show the "Home" AP in the list which appears right after "Searching for available access points" is briefly displayed. "Home" shows up right below Search for WLAN. There is no problem making the first connection.However, if the "Home" AP is already in use and I open another program that wants data, at times it will not show my Home AP in the list. If "Searching for available access points" is only displayed for a split second, "Home" will not be in the list. Sometimes I can close the program and open it again and if "Searching for available access points" stays on screen for about a second, then "Home" will be on the list and I can connect. Sometimes I will have to try 3, 4, 5 times, and sometimes it will never "see" the AP unless I disconnect the WLAN and start all over.Right at this moment, there is no problem. I can open program after program and connect via my "Home" AP. But it is frustrating when it does happen. Has anyone seen this or found a remedy?

I have test without encryption and with encryption, with channel manually and automatical and mode b/g/n and b/g, with ssid enabled and disabled -> all with same result I have test the same configurations with iPhone, Samsung and HTC. -> works fine....
Only neo v doesn´t connect automatical to wlan, if its in range.

I still can't connect to the browser.
I see the browser is "HotSpot Browser" But in the general properties how do I change the Default Browser To another browser for this to work?
I have an action set up to start the Pandora app whenever my phone bluetooth connects to my truck. For some reason, today the action is active while I am at home and with no bluetooth connection. I rebooted the phone, but the action starts up again. Having the phone's bluetooth on or off doesn't seem to make a difference either. I tried toggling airplane mode on/off with no change. I tried deleting the Action and creating a new Action with the same results.

Please ensure your device has an active wifi connection and try again'. Why is this? Also, when i try to update to 5.0 it says I need a data package but it worked on my old phone. And because of this I can't download the app world. The signal goes to SOS a lot as well but I think my house blocks the signal. Currently it says 'gprs' with 2 bars beside it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an app, Activity Classifier, that uses the handset accelerometers to provide information on activities and total exercise. It automates exercise tracking, classifies activities by type and quantifies aerobic intensity. Live data streamed from an Xperia Arc using the app is displayed in a blog. While it is possible to use on the Active it is unfortunately more difficult on the Active than the Arc because the Active accelerometers have a fault that is hard to get around. The problem is that the accelerometers sometimes take quite a while to start sampling when either started or the sampling frequency is changed.Occasionally it can take longer than 90 seconds. The problem can be seen with the app Accelerometer Frequency. Switch between sampling frequencies and notice that sometimes it switches instantly and sometimes it doesn't. To minimise battery consumption Activity Classifier acquires data from the accelerometers for 6 seconds out of every 30. If no other app is using the accelerometers they will start and stop every sampling period. On the Active they frequently don't start and the app detects a faulty accelerometer. The app has an option to keep accelerometers on and if this is selected it will work OK but battery consumption goes up a lot. The Active comes with a pedometer app called Walkmate. I can see from the Accelerometer Frequency app that Walkmate keeps the acclerometers running at 50 Hz and running Walkmate at the same time as Activity Classifier will make Activity Classifier work OK as well. Walkmate seems pretty power efficient and uses less than half the power of the market leading pedometer app Accupedo, run in power balanced mode, but it counts a different number of steps.

View 2 Replies View Relatedyesterday out of the blue the display on my active stopped working. i connected it to the pc and did a reset/reinstalled the firmware but still no display.i can play music using the original headphones and the headset controls and the home/menu/back buttons light up when i press the unlock key but that's about it.oh yes and i think i managed to unlock the screen even though it was totally back as i could could play/pause music and skip tracks using the screen controls (pressing where i guessed the music controls were).

However what I notice is that for certain apps like the ovi store or maps, I cannot choose a connection which it should go through, and it always connects through my operator's network instead of my WLAN which is in range...How can I change connection behavious for these (and other) applications? I already set my connection order to Wlan first and then the operator connection, which works fine for ebuddy to give an example...so what's wrong with the other stuff?
