i have a nokia c3-00 when i connect to wlan it say " connection successful i open any website like facebook or Internet , it works fine but for just 2 or 3 minutes then he writes me connection failed try again later. p.s: when i connect in my friend's house with my movile it works just fine maybe there is a firewall or something

I've a Nokia C3-00 and Sitecom WL-174 Wireless Network ADSL 2+ Modem Router 54g TURBO.
The WiFi/Modem router is working fine with PC but not with my C3-00. I'm sure there is no issue of access protection mechanism ( I switched Off psswd and MAC filter to be sure). My C3-00 see the router and initiate the protocol to get IP address from the router but it fails : "connesione WLAN non riuscita"
I'm quite sure the issue is in a sort of not compatibility between the router DHCP and the mobile because I experienced same issue with Nokia E51 on which I sorted out assigning statip IP address to it.
The issue with Nokia C3-00 is that there is no way to assign static IP Address from menu. I tried to contact Nokia support but no answer . even at the Nokia service in my town (Catania) they don't know how to do it .
I've bought Nokia c3-00 for almost two weeks but still couldn't connect to the wlan, internet, mail, chat or community. Every time I try to connect this message always appears "Temporary Network Problem" and "Link Not Available." Only the Bluetooth that works well. View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently got a wireless Router and now have my own wireless network in my home. I searched for it on my N97, it found it, I added it to it's known access points and set it to connect automatically whenever needed. Here's the problem: it does connect automatically, but it only works for like 30 seconds. After that, it doesn't get disconnectted, but it doesn't work anymore either. It simply downloads no more data. The website doesn't finish loading, or if I try to acces another site, it doesn't load at all (Opera Mini gets stuck on connected). I tried to disconnect and reconnect to the network manually, and that works, but only for another 30 seconds, then the same thing happens. I tried this with the N97 integratet browser and Opera Mini, with the same results.
Mind you that I'm using the same wireless network on my laptop and it works with no problems. Also, note that I did use other WLAN networks with the N97 and they as well work with no problems. It's just my home metwork the phone seems to have issue with, and I'd like to know why, and how (if possible) i can fix this.
I can't get the WLAN to work without a SIM-card in the phone. I have the same problem if there is a SIM in the phone but I choose not to enter then pin when starting the phone. I have set up a WLAN that works fine with the SIM enabled so it seems as the settings are fine. Is there something special I have to do to enable the WLAN when there is no SIM in the phone?

My cell start automatic wifi searching, while i have disabled all posible option to search wifi automatically like (Show WLAN availibility = Never, Internet Connectivity test= Never Run). I've recently purchased the C3-01 Touch and have set music files as ringtone and text alerts but when I receive a text the music file goes on... and on.... and on.... and on... Its a 4 minute track (WMA file if it makes any difference) and i though that if I didn't pick my phone up after 30 seconds it would just stop but it doesn't, it keeps playing and vibrating causing the battery to drain pretty quick. Is there a way to set the Message / Text alert tone to stop after 30 seconds or so?

When she puts her SIM in the phone and turns it on, it comes up with "Vodafone OK", after a while the screen displays "unlock" but she can't unlock it. Basically, it appears the touchscreen doesn't work. Are there any suggestions as to what may be wrong? It would appear the phone did work previously - the owner rather foolishly left a set of contacts on it (visible when the phone starts up) so it was working for them to do that. Could it be a settings issue?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just recently bought a C6-01 to replace my old E66. I installed skype and fring from Ovi Store. Voice calls from skype and fring are not working at all. Skype voice calls are displaying "skype call failed" while fring voice calls are hanging the phone totally. Chat sessions from skype and fring are working though. I tried re-installing it from skype and fring websites but still has the same problem. Re-installed it again from Ovi Store and still with the same problems. I checked if there is any available software update on the C6-01 online but none available.
This must be a Nokia problem as it happens both on Skype and Fring applications. I have been using these 2 applications on my other S60 Nokia phones and it works ok. Nokia's software quality on newly released models seem to be deteriorating. This is truly a bad reputation on Nokia considering all logged problems/issues in this forum. It is just a matter of one person posting all these on Facebook. I wonder if Nokia intends to compete with iPhones and Samsung smart phones. Not to mention that Android phones are becoming to be popular now. I hope Nokia will fix these problems quickly or these will definitely affect their sales.

How do I stop this from happening? I saw a similar thread about SGS2's, but I think the locations of settings must have changed a bit because those directions were not completely compatible. After updating, the gps navigation does not work in offline mode (in online mode works fine). When I switch to offline mode (with only built gps, ofcourse without A-gps) -the c5-03 can find the gps coordinates quickly in my house, so the hardwer works absolutely fine - and try to give a target in car driving mode, c5-03 tells me that from this place there is no road available with car. In pedestrian mode the situation is the same, only the message is a little different. I tried to delete the cities dir, and rebuild and reload all from nokia suite with PC, but no changes, Offline navigation does not work. I rebuild the new software again, but without success. how to down-grade to the previous working fw?

The update cannot be performed using WIFI.The phone displays the confirmation message: "You are about to connect to the internet. ..."
