my nokia c7 show only positioning methods in Bluetooth gps, wifi/nntwork, network based only. There is no option to enable in Intergratet gps or A-gps. & no sattelite icon in top right coner.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a strange problem with my C5,When I press "5" on my phone, my compass don't work. Normally, on my old nokia e55, the compass became yellow and after red and after my map follow the north. With this phone, press "5" do nothing. The compass stay white.Another problem I have, is that the GPS positioning will place my position on a road, even when I'm far away from any roads ( even 50 meters away ). As such, my location on the map is rarely accurate when I'm not on a road.Is supposed it is due to the new version of Nokia maps compared to my old e55. Version is v3.04 10wk32 b04.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy wife has bought a second-hand C3-01 Touch and Type, but she can't use it at all. When she puts her SIM in the phone and turns it on, it comes up with "Vodafone OK", after a while the screen displays "unlock" but she can't unlock it. Basically, it appears the touchscreen doesn't work. Are there any suggestions as to what may be wrong? It would appear the phone did work previously - the owner rather foolishly left a set of contacts on it (visible when the phone starts up) so it was working for them to do that. Could it be a settings issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just recently bought a C6-01 to replace my old E66. I installed skype and fring from Ovi Store. Voice calls from skype and fring are not working at all. Skype voice calls are displaying "skype call failed" while fring voice calls are hanging the phone totally. Chat sessions from skype and fring are working though. I tried re-installing it from skype and fring websites but still has the same problem. Re-installed it again from Ovi Store and still with the same problems. I checked if there is any available software update on the C6-01 online but none available.
This must be a Nokia problem as it happens both on Skype and Fring applications. I have been using these 2 applications on my other S60 Nokia phones and it works ok. Nokia's software quality on newly released models seem to be deteriorating. This is truly a bad reputation on Nokia considering all logged problems/issues in this forum. It is just a matter of one person posting all these on Facebook. I wonder if Nokia intends to compete with iPhones and Samsung smart phones. Not to mention that Android phones are becoming to be popular now. I hope Nokia will fix these problems quickly or these will definitely affect their sales.
I just bought a Nokia c2-03 phone, but I accidentally formated my memory card, so applications installed on mmc don't work (Converter, Memorize, Music guess, Nature Park, Picture puzzle, World clock). I really need those apps back.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have nokia C5-03. I was silly and updated the software and the maps. Till the updating method everything works fine. After updating, the gps navigation does not work in offline mode (in online mode works fine). When I switch to offline mode (with only built gps, ofcourse without A-gps) -the c5-03 can find the gps coordinates quickly in my house, so the hardwer works absolutely fine - and try to give a target in car driving mode, c5-03 tells me that from this place there is no road available with car. In pedestrian mode the situation is the same, only the message is a little different. I tried to delete the cities dir, and rebuild and reload all from nokia suite with PC, but no changes, Offline navigation does not work. I rebuild the new software again, but without success. how to down-grade to the previous working fw?

The update cannot be performed using WIFI.The phone displays the confirmation message: "You are about to connect to the internet. ..." When I confirm this, it tries "Connecting to Nokia", but as there is "No network connection." it is unable to download anything. This occurs every time I try to use the feature.During the connection the phone displays the G icon denoting that it tries to connect using GPRS.

The camera doesn't work. I open the camera application with both methods (button on side and icon in apps) but it does the red dot thing in the corner for about 4-6 seconds then disappears and applications tells me the app is running. I try to go to the app but it wont go on it.
Problem 2:
The green key, dialler and contacts icon on the home screen do not work at all. I have no way of opening my dialler as there is no option for it.
I updated my firmware to v40.0.005 last week. Please be aware the problems were both there BEFORE i made the update and are still here after the update.Is there any way of doing this without soft/hard resetting. Also, does soft/hard reset mean you lose the data in an app (eg your high scores in a game like bagatelle)?
When is the patch anticipated for our C5's to fix the broken clock problems?If it just displayed the wrong time it would be one thing, but since it affects the ordering of text messages displayed et al, it's a bit more of a catastrophic issue.
Others have reported that hard resetting the device only lasts momentarily and that the bug is pretty fatal.
I performed updated from Anna to Belle today for my girlfriend on Nokia C7. I synchronized contacts, calendar and notes via iSync on my Mac OS. After update all messages are erased and she had important information there. I installed Ovi Suite on Mac and downloaded extra support for C7, but I couldn't restore that information. She never installed Ovi Suite on her PC. My question is: is she installs Ovi Suite for PC on her laptop, will she be able to restore old messages? I recently switched to Belle as well on my Nokia N8, but I'm not that crazy about old messages, so I haven't noticed it. I checked on my phone using Files disk C, but there wasn't any folders with my username.

Now after the update the Nokia Mail does not open anymore. When I push the Mail-button on my C3-00 it shows "opening mail" and then NOKIA "Loading Mail", the white screen with the yellow envelope. But then nothing happens anymore. The screen stays this way FOREVER. It does not freeze, I can exit the application YES/or NO.
i just need an advise or explanation regarding my c6-01..the upper touch screen of my c6-01 suddenly dont respond for a reason..i dont know what might be wrong but when i reset it (3 button trick)the part of screen(upper part) partially work..but not the whole screen.. i dont know if this might be a software problem or hardware problem
