Eseries / Communicators :: QuickOffice And Adobe Missing After Reset On E7
Oct 3, 2012I resetted my E7 yesterday, and noticed that Quickoffice and Adobe readers disappeared! I tried reinstalling Belle from the nokia suite, all went well, but QO & Adobe are still missing. I tried deleting the downloaded installation files from c:usersall users directory, re-downloading the nokia belle update (~350mb) and re-reinstalling the OS, but still QO and Adobe are missing. I tried *#7370#, "delete and restore" etc, but to no avail. I tried changing OSes - WinXP, Win7, Win7 64bit etc, but still no avail.

Aug 20, 2011I have a Nokia N8 with Symbian Anna. I purchased QuickOffice Pro from Ovi Store and it downloads but then fails to install. The trial version from the QuickOffice site also fails to install. Before I purchased QuickOffice I deleted the version of QuickOffice that came with Symbian Anna.Now I am left with no QuickOffice even though I have paid for it.Can someone suggest what I should do so I can install the QuickOffice Pro that I have paid for.

Aug 29, 2011I have been trying to fix following two problems from past one week by going through various posts in this forum, but nothing has helped yet. I am hoping that brains in this forum can help me fix my issues.
After update to Symbian Anna
1) OVI store is not working. I am able to open ovi store and see apps but moment I click on download.. it just hangs there.I have tried installling QT files as mentioned in the forum I download QT files from Nokia which were in .sisx format. I am not able to install them either by directly copying in phone or via Ovi suite.I am getting Error 300.
2) Google Maps is not working. I have installed it multiple times. When I click on Google Maps to open it , a blank window comes and it closes automatically.

Jun 9, 2012I have an E7-00 that was recently replaced under warranty as the usb port had become very iffy and it was almost impossible to charge. The replacement phone has Belle installed, which is the most un-useable piece of software I have seen in a fair while. It is far less useful for business than Anna was, and I need to remove it and step back to Anna, if only because I used to be able to have 4 email inboxes on my front screen as well as the time, profile, date AND notifications area... now this takes three home screens to achieve which is completely useless.
Short of binning the phone and returning to an E90 (beginning to wish I'd never moved away from it) how can I make my E7 useable again?

Dec 20, 2012I recently had to do a "full factory reset" on my Nokia 700 but since then I seem to have lost both the Adobe Reader and QuickOffice. Both were working before the reset and I did a full Nokia Suite backup and restore after the reset. In an attempt to restore the two missing functions I've re-installed the software and searched the store, all to no avail.

Jan 27, 2010've recently bought a nokia E72 after losing my E71 and I'm really disappointed with this mobile phone. I share most of the problems shared by most of the users. Messy software, awful sound, horrible build quality with lights comig from everywhere. But lately I found another problem with my mobile. When I create a new message, in the messaging menu, I don't have the option to create a MMS message. All the options I have are ''message (sms) / audio message / avatar sms / e-mail''. No signs of MMS creation option. I tried to uninstall the ''avatar sms'' software to check if the MMS menu would appear but still nothing. I've check the MMS settings and all the settings are ok, but still nothing in the messagin menu to create a MMS.

I had another e7 two weeks ago which detected the update and afte updating it it stoped charging and hence i had to return it to where i bought it from, now i got a new e7 and no updates are available for this e7.

Jan 19, 2012I was generally a bit ticked-off with my E7, particularly because its USB port had gone extremely dodgy. sorted by my service provider by simply swapping the handset. The new one, however, has come with a completely different set of software loaded. Most of which is fine, but the Location App, with GPS data has dissappeared, and it's one of the items I used a lot.
I've looked at other GPS apps, but they don't have the functionality of the "location" app, mainly the ability to set a destination (via longitude and lattitude) and have it direct you there. This app has been on Nokia phones for years and years, and yet suddlenly this phone doesn't have it. Most odd.
Is it available for download from anywhere? I've looked for it on OVI for quite some time, but to no avail.

Feb 10, 2012so i recently gota a nokia 603 from my dad as a birthday present...i used it for a while and changed some settings...after doing this i decided to do a hard reset on the device..after the fone restarted i noticed that some of the original apps had gone missing..and also i cannot access social, nokia store, maps...and other preinstalled apps through mobile data..but its possible to access them through wifi.

Nov 9, 2011I received a message on my E7 to say that a software update was available. I did the install and after a restart, was prompted to do several more updates: Anna 1/2, Anna 2/2, Ovi Suite, Maps and Anna Service Pack. When the update finished I was told that Anna1/2 and Ovi Store had failed, while the others were all sucessful. I have tried it several times but it fails every time.The phone appears to be working OK but the failure of Anna 1/2 is a bit worrying as I do not know the significance of it and the Ovi Store failure is annoying as I cannot launch it. The Ovi Store would not launch previously either ,so I was hoping the upgrade to Symbain Anna would fix that

Sep 26, 2011After having upgraded my device to Symbian Anna, it doesn't seem to be possible to start the browser in the bookmarks screen any longer (unlike the previous useful setting). I'm not interested in loading any "homepage" automatically (that simply doesn't fit my Internet access patterns - I typically access one of a few pages and it's more efficient to use bookmarks to go to the right page directly in that case). I understand that I can choose empty page - that doesn't enforce unwanted data traffic nor loading time for useless pages (as opposed to a default homepage scenario), but it still requires two more clicks to get to bookmarks.

Aug 19, 2011I did the update yesterday, and today i did charge it for a couple of hours, but now it has stopped charging completey. even through the usb connected to a PC, even a car charger and the direct wall charger. i Have two towers of the battery remaining. The computer does not regonise the device also. Could the port be damaged? or is it a software problem??

Aug 22, 2011I was upgrading my Nokia E7 to symbian Anna and while installing Symbian Anna update 2/2 the phone told me restart to complete installation. But the installion was still running. I actaully restarted the phone while it was updating 2/2. I did so because the phone told me to restart. When restarted I couldn't find the 2/2 in the update list in the SW update. I can only see 1/2 and the other 2 optional items. but 2/2 was not shown in the update list. I hard rest my phone as I might be able to install them 2 but no luck. Now the phone seems to be working fine and the SW update says I have the latest software. Ovi update says I have the latest software.
