Jul 18, 2011Since some days ago a circle with a crossed line is shown in my Nokia E71 phone, just at a side of the battery logo, and since that I cannot send or receive emails. My questions are: What does that circle with the crossed line means? and How to do for receiving and sending emails again?

Dec 17, 2011I've noticed several have the same problem but no answer yet. Phone E6 sw 021.014 I have 3 email accounts which all work well for one or two days, but then stop receiving. If I reboot the phone they start working again for a couple of days only.

Nov 10, 2011For a few weeks now my e72 hasnt been receiving any emails. It's set to do so automatically. Originally I just thought it was just a small delay but almost a month later and still nothing. I have tried to receive manually, send a test email and deleted the account from my phone and reset it but nothing worked.

I set up my iinet account, set up was fine downloaded all my messages. after I did the phone update (I thing OS)it seems to have stopped, I can't send or receive. Jun 10, 2011I cannot make or receive calls and messages on my nokia e52 sometimes. When trying to make a call it shows a small lock in locked position near the green phone symbol. I then restart the phone and it works fine. It only occurs rarely like once in a week or two and you wont know unless you try to make a call or some one calls your land phone and tells that the mobile is switched off. I am using the latest software and has tried the factory reset.

Oct 28, 2010I got the black version bought in the end of May 2010, and got it repaired recently because of cracked speaker. The repair company also upgraded the firmware from 034.001 to 051.018 (the new firmware 051.018 crash a lot more often specially with music player or if you want to see pictures/movies).
Anyway, In relationship with the repair I also noticed that I could not receive or make any calls. If I try to make a call its all silent the signal strength says its great connection though with the full bars. And if someone tries to call me they hear the default: "the subscriber can not be reached now, please leave a number and end with #".
And if I restart the mobile the phone works as normal again, I can make calls and receive calls. Also SMS will be received now. This happened both with firmware 034.001 and 051.018. I am using 3G net with operator Tango mini/comviq in Sweden (and they dont have any problems with the net, also the restart would suggest the same thing). I would think this is related to too long uptime or the frequent soft reboots/crashes.

Oct 27, 2011I have a nokia E5 and have just updated (through Nokia Suite beta) the email application from 3.16.0 to 3.21.0. Since then all of my messages which contain html code are displayed as is, without the phone parsing the code. What I mean is instead of normal writing I just get html code.

Jun 29, 2011Anyone got problem with emails not being updated correctly?Have 3 POP3 accounts in my E6 and tested sync "soonest" and "15min" and never updates it for new emails, not even when i hit "z" it seems to sync correctly.Even sometimes it does, the overview screen/Home screen is stuck with preview from old emails.Hate this because if the email does not work properly it is completely useless for me. This works perfect on my E71 and E72.

Jul 14, 2010I just got my new Nokia E72, happy with it overall, just a couple of niggles (apart from the build quality...), which I'd like to check with more owners of this phone.
When I press the EMail shortcut key, on the top right side of the keypad, this shortcut doesn't open the general EMail "folder" where I can see my GMail, Yahoo!, and Hotmail email accounts, instead it opens my Yahoo! email account directly, and I have to go back to the general "folder" to see my other email accounts...
I've tried playing with all the different options, but so far cannot make it work as I think it should be, which would be to go to the main EMail "folder", so I can choose which EMail account I want to open/synchronise, and not just opening the first EMail account I set up... Also, is not downloading the "Sent Items" folder, even though I chose "All" in What to download...

Dec 25, 2011I installed Nokia EMail Service at my E63 phone. I'm using WiFi to connect to mail server. I expect the following behavior: each 5 minutes (as defined in Settings) this Service should activate WiFi connection, connect to server, get new mail (if any), disconnect from server and (!) deactivate WiFi connection. However, I see that WiFi icon is shown on my main screen instantly - so the WiFi connection is always On and the phone is consuming the battery heavily.

Jan 12, 2012I can view the person who had this phones email account, but I can't set my new one up. I use the "email setup wizard" go into it, connect, and then it asks me my email address, I enter the CORRECT one and that's as far as this thing will let me go. I don't even get to the part where it asks me for a Password. after I enter my email address it tries to connect to the server (which is yahoo mail) and then I get the message "Unable to connect to server. Try again later."....And that's all it keeps doing. I have no clue how to set up an email on this phone. I use it with my WAN connection and with my providers internet and get the same message both times.

Jun 9, 2010I used to have no problem receiving and sending emails on my E63 but when I updated my Nokia software it wiped out all my settings and my email account. So I set up the email again (btinternet) but it will only receive, not send. I get a 'queued' notice on the email in the outbox and it will not send even if I try to send manually repeatedly. The incoming and outgoing mailserver is the same (mail.btinternet.com) and I can't see what else can be a problem.

Feb 12, 2011I have an E72-1. I tried the E-5 before and it's the same problem. I can receive emails but not send them. My providers are talktalk and 3 mobile. I have tried using the Nokia software which they say is the latest thing. I have also tried email on 3 but it won't download because they say I should use the inbuilt Nokia software. The emails come in beautifully, but if I try to send one I get return path .
