Eseries / Communicators :: Can't Send Emails From E63
Jun 9, 2010
I used to have no problem receiving and sending emails on my E63 but when I updated my Nokia software it wiped out all my settings and my email account. So I set up the email again (btinternet) but it will only receive, not send. I get a 'queued' notice on the email in the outbox and it will not send even if I try to send manually repeatedly. The incoming and outgoing mailserver is the same (mail.btinternet.com) and I can't see what else can be a problem.
I have an E72-1. I tried the E-5 before and it's the same problem. I can receive emails but not send them. My providers are talktalk and 3 mobile. I have tried using the Nokia software which they say is the latest thing. I have also tried email on 3 but it won't download because they say I should use the inbuilt Nokia software. The emails come in beautifully, but if I try to send one I get return path .
Since some days ago a circle with a crossed line is shown in my Nokia E71 phone, just at a side of the battery logo, and since that I cannot send or receive emails. My questions are: What does that circle with the crossed line means? and How to do for receiving and sending emails again?
I just got me a new E5 about a week ago. Despite reading a lot on this forum, I still have two major issues setting up this device; so I need some help. Problem number one is that I cannot set up my email. I have "aol" email that falls under "other" in the email set up section. Some of the screens listed in Pool of Knowledge subsection (like choosing POP3 or IMAP) does not even come up in my e5 during email setup screens. What to do to set up aol email account.
Problem number 2 is that I cannot transfer my contacts and other data from old device (Nokia X2-01) to the new e5. I paired them easily using Bluetooth but when it get to the point of transferring the data, I hear a "click" sound in the e5 and "Bluetooth disconnected." error message comes on. I have tried upteenth times but I get the same result. When I tried to transfer contacts one by one, using Bluetooth business card option it works; but I have over 800 contacts and I would like to use the switch route. What to do to solve this problem?. I hope I do not have a faulty device.
I have just upgraded to the new email client (3.09.0) and my pop email accounts no longer sync automatically in the background. They only sync if I manually open up each email account and ask to do a manual sync?
I'm quite sure that an Imap account of mine was taking 25MB from C drive space. So, I've tried to convert it to POP and delete the emails from the phone. It didn't work. The phone kept showing "I'm deleting the messages" but with no succes. So I removed the account, hoping to delete the messages. From what I see it didn't do the trick. Now, I would like to find where the emails are stored and manually delete them.
I've not been able to send sms's from my Nokia E75 for about three weeks now. When I put my sim card in another phone, it works though I've checked my message settings etc & they are OK.Will I have to update my software? WillI lose my messages?
I have several POP3 email accounts and I will change emails from unread to read. After some time (from seconds to days or even weeks), some of them will reappear as unread.
Is there a way to print emails and 'activenotes' through bluetooth, as I can successfully print text messages, contacts, quickoffice docs and 'normal' notes using Options>Printing options.
I can't send MMS from my E71 in Russia (the mobile provider is Megafon) to Switzerland. I've already checked MMS settings and they are ok, because I can send mms within Russia. But it doesn't work when I try to send mms to swiss mobile number. What can be the possible problem if it's not the mms settings and there is an agreement between mobile providers in these countries to send mms messages?
I have a E7-00, since june. Suddendly fails to send SMS, its remains in outbox, I note if i respond to an sms works fine, but when a tri to send a new SMS it remains in outbox.
My nokia e6 gets heated when I use emails or nimbuzz or and internet services. What should be done. I think nokia phones standards have drastically low quality.
For a few weeks now my e72 hasnt been receiving any emails. It's set to do so automatically. Originally I just thought it was just a small delay but almost a month later and still nothing. I have tried to receive manually, send a test email and deleted the account from my phone and reset it but nothing worked.
I have only had this phone for 4 days. I set up my iinet account, set up was fine downloaded all my messages. after I did the phone update (I thing OS)it seems to have stopped, I can't send or receive. I have been through all the settings and everything seems fine. I also tried to delete the account so I could re-set it up but it was sitting on deleting mailbox screen for about half an hour so I aborted...
My E7 has stopped sending emails with attached files.Emails with attachments sit in outbox and get the "Unable to open while sending" tip when I try to view/edit the email.AFAIK, nothing has changed in terms of my setup as the E7 recieves emails with attachments, sends emails without attachments. I can't seem to find any in depth settings to do with server ports and such within the mail settings anymore.
I am unable to send/forward SMS to lists. After list / contact selection, as soon as I hiss the send button, the Phone pops up the "SMS sending" screen. The screen disappears after a few seconds and following are the things that had happened:A draft is savedOutbox is filled with SMS but non is sent.Usually after this, my phone looses it mind and stops displayingcorrect time with newly received SMScontact Name with newly received SMS (in Inbox) (shortcut on main screen does show contact name)
I have problem with the bluetooth connection.I have paired both my devices. The result is I can send files from BB 8520 to Nokia E6 but not otherwise. When I try to send it from my Nokia E6 to BB, the steps thats happening are:1. Device is connected2. I try to send the file from my Nokia E6 but a textbox came out 'Unable to connect' which is weird when both devices has been connected successfully.
sending mail from the Ovi account, no problem sending mail from my @home account, no mail is send it is stuck in outgoing box I tried re-installing with "via OVI" option - no luck and via standard, no luck so i checked the send parameters from provider, they seem oke?
When I create email on my E7 and send it I can not find the message any more.It is not in send items and not in send Items of the linked email account.
E72-1- It can't send SMS messages anymore. I hadn't noticed it at first, was wondering why the persons I sent messages didn't replied when I responded to their messages. Then happened to check my phones Outbox, and 6 text messages are stuck in there for several hours already.Just to test the phone further (to check if it might be a SIM card problem), I put this SIM card on another phone, and I was able to send messages on that phone.I also placed another SIM card on the E72 and tested sending a message -- the message sending gets stuck at the Outbox and never sends. Receiving SMS messages appears to work fine. Also, calling out (voice calls) and receiving calls work.other notes: in settings: "Phone Memory" (instead of memory card) is used for text messages, configured to have up to 999 messages. Currently, have around 600 SMS messages in the Inbox and maybe 150 text messages in the Sent folder. Let's says that's only around 800 messages (not yet 999 messages).
What I tried:I changed the setting from "phone memory" to "memory card", but still unable to send messages. (I reverted it back to phone memory since that's where my messages are residing.)I did a soft reset *#7780# which reset the E72's settings. Tried again to send SMS message -- it still fails.I decided to do a hard reset, so I did a full backup using Ovi Suite first. Then I did the hard reset *#7370# -- and it did solve the problem (able to send messages again), unfortunately, I would need to reinstall all the applications, contacts and restore the messages I saved.I tried restoring the backup (it was pretty big at 2.3Gb), but it's taking a very very long time (nearly an hour) and it seems to fail near the end of the restoration. The backing up of the phone took awhile (maybe 20 minutes or so) since it backedup probably the whole memory card too. (I should probably have deleted a few unneeded big files from the memory card before I did the backup since it appears that Ovi Suite is also backing up those big files).
Right now, I'm doing the restoration a second time (a few hours since I first tried that and it sort of failed). During the restoration which ended with failure, it seems that when I tried sending SMS messages, it fails again. (ie. if I restore the backup, the problem is also restored) -- I'll check this again later if this is indeed the case.I still had around 130Mb free space left in the C: phone memory and the 4Gb microSDHD memory card had around 900Mb free space when I started the backing up in the first place. (mentioning these in case these might be related to the problem.)another thing: does restoring backups really take an extremely long time? (I haven't tried the restoration function before, though I did a backup maybe 2 months ago) Does the phone get in a sort of "stuck" or "hanging" mode during the latter part of the restoration procedure?
I recently purchased a nokia E7. When I first got it it was fine and would send messages to people however now after the 2nd day owning it, it is refusing to send messages to anyone. This is reguardless of network, though I am on the telstra network.
