I'm quite sure that an Imap account of mine was taking 25MB from C drive space.So, I've tried to convert it to POP and delete the emails from the phone. It didn't work. The phone kept showing "I'm deleting the messages" but with no succes.So I removed the account, hoping to delete the messages. From what I see it didn't do the trick.Now, I would like to find where the emails are stored and manually delete them.
I have an IMAP email account. I use it to send and receive emails on my phone.The emails that I receive go to the "inbox" on the E52 and I can access that on my PC too.The emails that I send go to the "Sent items" folder on the E52 and not the IMAP sent folder.Ovi Suite will not let me download sent emails to my PC.
Trying to install my email settings to my new E7. For some reason I seem not to be able to find any other email setting possibilities than Mail for Exchange and web-based (Gmail, Ovi etc). I have tried to give the email settings program a dummy password to be able to manually edit the settings, but the phone seems not to provide me any other options than Mail for Exchange.
What should I do to be able to set up my plain old IMAP email? I have done that manually on already 5 different S60 phones so I am perfectly capable of doing that myself once the phone provides me the possibility to write the settings somewhere.
I have an E7-00. I'm trying to use the email app to connect to an IMAP4 server (which I run).When I delete a message on the E7, the email app appears to mark the message as deleted, and then it immediately does an expunge on the mailbox, so destroying all deleted messages in the mailbox. This is not the behaviour I want.The convention used on this mail server is that when the user asks to delete a message, the email app should move the message to a Trash folder, so preserving the message for a period of time. I can't find a way to configure the E7's mail client to do this. As this is an utterly standard business requirement
I installed emoze app on E72 and tried my email set up using 'Home/Other mail' as an IMAP mail set up. However when I try connecting , it throws Login(-37) failed error. Am I missing something here ? Should I be using any other option for email set up in emoze?
I bought an E7 two weeks ago and use the embedded mail programme with:
- Mail for Exchange Client (Job account) - IMAP G-Mail (Personal account) - IMAP GMX.net (Personal account)
Everything worked fine for one week, then my second IMAP-account (GMX) stopped syncing. In my browser I can see that there are unread messages in the account but the E7 does not download them.
I have a Nokia E52. I have an imap mailbox. It's working well on the phone, BUT when I send an email message, it moves the message to the SENT ITEMS folder of the phone. I would like the sent messages to be uploaded to the imap server into a specified folder, not in the sent items folder on the phone. I don't find this settings.
since Friday28th of October, in the morning I am experiencing a rather unpleasant issue: my Nokia E6 dos not connect to my company's email IMAP email accounts. I take the opportunity to report other 3 issuesI have 2 emails accounts @mycompany.com that were regularly being used. I did not update the firmware nor performed any changes on the phone, all of a sudden the E6 does not connect with the email accounts, there is no error message.I tried the following:1) Re-entered the password of the email account, I confirm this is right2) Created one of the email accounts that were on the E6 on 2 other devices (Ipad and Palm Pre), they work perfect, both on Wifi, on my operator,(Orange) and on an other phone operator (Swisscom)3) deleted one email account, from the E6. I restarted the phone (by holding the button 8 seconds) and recreated the email account, this is not possible, I get the following error message:" service temporarily unavailable. Try again later. "4) I repeated the test (point3) both on WiFi and using the 3G operator. I got the same errorOn the E6 there is also a Gmail account, which works flawlessly.Using the email is not an option for my business, so I wish that THIS TIME I will get an effective reply from NOKIA. ( NOKIA don't tell me again that I have to use OVI account or my mailprovider does not work, because as explained I tested the settings on other devices.

Not sure if this has been asked before, probably has, but I cannot connect to the ovi store on my phone, after I enter my account details, keeps saying sign in failed even though I can sign into ovi on my computer, I have reset the cache and cleared cookies, cookies are allowed on my phone all that. I have synced it with the ovi suite all that perfectly but, I don't know why I can't sign into the ovi store on my phone, or sync with ovi sync on my phone either. Im living in Ireland if that makes any difference at all and on vodafone network.
Just recently bought an E-6 and tried to install some app (try both on phone and via PC using nokia suite) all failed and it said internal server errors with nokia jrs com whatever weird language.
when I request some item from the OVI store to download.. it says an SMS was sent with the link.. but I never receive this sms message.. I can only download directly on the phone..
from a while there is an update for ovi store and i installed it and since then the ovi store is not starting , it stops on the loading screen and nothing happen next
Had a notification that a newer version of Nokia / OVI store was available today (22/02/12 Ver. Ovistore_32prdSrv_1_22_014.sisx) so I downloaded and installed it.It stores cache on the phone memory in a directory imagecache/Juniper and is full of all the icon pictures of apps on the nokia store.so the phone memory is filling up.
EVEN WORSE.If I go into my pictures gallery they are all being displayed there!!! Can't find any of my own photo's because all these stupid icons/pictures from the store!
i have an E5-00 Rm632 fw ver: 42.010. When i open licences in the control panel, it reboots in a few seconds.And the phone has become awfully slow.I took it to the nokia care center.they upgraded the software from 42.007 to 42.010.i couldnt upgrade to the latest sw from my phone or using nokia software updater.i'm just fed up with the sw bugs in this phone. the phone went to L3 two times
i am unable to download anythng from nokia ovi store default application even i hav tried diffrent accounts...cant even click on download....cause it doesn't see highlighted...while downloading works when i download from [URL]
I just download new Anna update and Ovi update. Installing went good and i feel that everything works fine, but then i try to open Ovi Store and phone automatically shutdown and start again? Same happening if i try open program name "muistutukset"? What is going on? Why my phone can`t open Ovi Store and that other program?
Ovi store came installed as I purchased Nokia E-5 recently. It was working fine till a weak back. Now when It is opened, it seems to load but somehow it is redirected to another page saying "A new version of ovi store is available, update your application to continue using it".Clicking on the update option download does not start at all. So ovi store application is not working at all.
I just recently got the Nokia E-72 and after getting a new memory card just yesterday for it I am no longer able to open the Ovi Store application that was already installed on the phone. I also just installed the Ovi Suite on my computer and when it requests to install the "Support software" my phone just gives me the simple error of "Unable to install" with a red symbol next to the words. I also tried installing the Ovi Store from the web and I get the same Unable to Install error that I get when trying to install the Support Software. I already checked the "application manager" it is allows all applications to be installed. I've also tried reinstalling the software via the Ovi Suite and that doesn't do anything either. I looked up how to hard reset the phone as well, and I hold the correct buttons+the top power button at the same time while the phone is of f but it doesn't seem like it does anything when the phone comes back on. I wouldn't mind getting the phone to go back to square one as I haven't had the phone long enough to miss much besides my contacts which I can just synchronize.
I have an E63 phone with 1GB memory card. I am able to change settings for storing photos and music in the memory card. However, the sms that I receive get automatically saved in phone memory and I am not able to find how to change the setting to memory card.
I backed everything up, updated my E72's software and perforned a hard reset. But now, after I performed a restore, applications I bought from Ovi Store are all gone and other software is back!
I'm using Nokia E5 and whenever I open OVI App to download stuff it says "there's an update available, update it" when I click on update, it redirects me back to my Menu and nothing happens!I tried to update it 20 times n everytime same thing happened to me.Its not updating, not opening, and I can't even download anything. Whatever I try to download it redirects me to OVI and it asks me the same update thing.
I used to have no problem receiving and sending emails on my E63 but when I updated my Nokia software it wiped out all my settings and my email account. So I set up the email again (btinternet) but it will only receive, not send. I get a 'queued' notice on the email in the outbox and it will not send even if I try to send manually repeatedly. The incoming and outgoing mailserver is the same (mail.btinternet.com) and I can't see what else can be a problem.
I have an E72-1. I tried the E-5 before and it's the same problem. I can receive emails but not send them. My providers are talktalk and 3 mobile. I have tried using the Nokia software which they say is the latest thing. I have also tried email on 3 but it won't download because they say I should use the inbuilt Nokia software. The emails come in beautifully, but if I try to send one I get return path .
I just got me a new E5 about a week ago. Despite reading a lot on this forum, I still have two major issues setting up this device; so I need some help. Problem number one is that I cannot set up my email. I have "aol" email that falls under "other" in the email set up section. Some of the screens listed in Pool of Knowledge subsection (like choosing POP3 or IMAP) does not even come up in my e5 during email setup screens. What to do to set up aol email account.
Problem number 2 is that I cannot transfer my contacts and other data from old device (Nokia X2-01) to the new e5. I paired them easily using Bluetooth but when it get to the point of transferring the data, I hear a "click" sound in the e5 and "Bluetooth disconnected." error message comes on. I have tried upteenth times but I get the same result. When I tried to transfer contacts one by one, using Bluetooth business card option it works; but I have over 800 contacts and I would like to use the switch route. What to do to solve this problem?. I hope I do not have a faulty device.
I cannot install Nokia Store into my E6 phone. I've build Belle Refresh (the latest version) and I've also tried the latest nokia suite to install it. But it just doesn't install.
After reinstalling my E72-1 FW 051.018, Your mobile Phone : is showing N73 (this I notice when logged into OVI Store on desktop). So lot of applications are not displayed in OVI Store when I looged from my mobile. (Reason is its displaying content for N73 not for E72) I tried changing your Mobile to E72 in ovistore by logging from desktop. Still No use , I still see the content of N73 only in my mobile Ovi Store.. So I am missing lot of content, + I could not install lot of purchased applications from ovi store?
I have a E5-00 (OS version 042.007.227.01). I use Mail for Exchange for email. Encryption is mandated by my work email server. Several applications, including Ovi Store and Maps, will not start with phone encryption enabled. Disabling encryption means I can use the mentioned applications, but as soon as I sync the mail, the encryption is back on.
