I bought an E7 two weeks ago and use the embedded mail programme with:
- Mail for Exchange Client (Job account)
- IMAP G-Mail (Personal account)
- IMAP GMX.net (Personal account)
Everything worked fine for one week, then my second IMAP-account (GMX) stopped syncing. In my browser I can see that there are unread messages in the account but the E7 does not download them.
since Friday28th of October, in the morning I am experiencing a rather unpleasant issue: my Nokia E6 dos not connect to my company's email IMAP email accounts. I take the opportunity to report other 3 issuesI have 2 emails accounts @mycompany.com that were regularly being used. I did not update the firmware nor performed any changes on the phone, all of a sudden the E6 does not connect with the email accounts, there is no error message.I tried the following:1) Re-entered the password of the email account, I confirm this is right2) Created one of the email accounts that were on the E6 on 2 other devices (Ipad and Palm Pre), they work perfect, both on Wifi, on my operator,(Orange) and on an other phone operator (Swisscom)3) deleted one email account, from the E6. I restarted the phone (by holding the button 8 seconds) and recreated the email account, this is not possible, I get the following error message:" service temporarily unavailable. Try again later. "4) I repeated the test (point3) both on WiFi and using the 3G operator. I got the same errorOn the E6 there is also a Gmail account, which works flawlessly.Using the email is not an option for my business, so I wish that THIS TIME I will get an effective reply from NOKIA. ( NOKIA don't tell me again that I have to use OVI account or my mailprovider does not work, because as explained I tested the settings on other devices.

I have successfully set up my O2 and Hotmail email accounts but everytime I try to set up my BT email account, it fails. Is there a way to by-pass the Email Wizard and configure the settings manually. I have the BT account set up on a 5800 and it works perfectly.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have configured my nokia E63 to sync mail with an gmail account. I have installed Mail for Exchange 3.0. I have configured mail for exchange to sync with my gmail account. I have two issues. When I configure mail for exchange, I can do an initial download of mail, calendar and contacts. However, after the initial sync when I try to do another sync a invalid credentials message appears. I don't change credentials after first sync, so credentials are correct. The second issue is that when I open a message I only see the header message, with the from address and subject but I can't see the body of the message.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to find a way to sync the email on my Outlook Desktop to my E63. I bought this phone because it promised to sync with Outlook. I assumed that mean ALL of Outlook. It syncs very well with everything but the email. My problem is that I operate remotely and that my desktop email runs on Outlook 2007, which pulls my email off an IMAP4 server. I know the phone can do IMAP4 by itself.
The problem is when my Outlook pulls the messages from the IMAP4 server, it also deletes them from the server, making them inaccessible to the phone. Additionally, this is my private phone and I don't want to incur extra charges on account of my work. I like the ability to download the messages to my phone during a sync, take them with me, answer/delete/file them, and then have those actions carried out in Outlook when I sync the next time.
I have problems with repeating calendar events.I create event 1.6.2011, repeating every week for one year. I have set in phone to remove calendar events older than 3 week.After 3 week from 1.6.2011 all events from that repeating meeting are deleted from phone, including events which are in future.
View 3 Replies View RelatedE72 MfE sync problems after latest firmware, just wanted to add detail from admin_log1.txt (Nokia?) troubleshoot.Problem started as soon as I took latest firmware 031.023. Formatted memory card, *#7370# hard reset, reinstall f/w and still MfE fails to sync. Via a Blackberry and IPhone sync works fine, via phone browser to Outlook OWA access works fine too, so I'm assuming Activesync is fine server-side but something broken in new build.

I have three email accounts on my E72, two of which work just fine after I changed service provider/network (from TDC to Telenor, Denmark), but Ovi Mail doesn't sync.Pressing Z initiates the sync but then after one secon it gives up. There IS mail waiting on my account. I have made no changes to the phone apart from removing all connections associated with my old network. The phone is not sim-locked or anything.

I normally just find the "full resync" option that deletes the content and then resyncs. This generally fixes any glitch. I did a software update last week and I have spent about 3 hours trying to find it. My software version is 211.12.01 date 31-03-01 custom version 211.12.01.204.04 date 26-08-10 I got this from *#0000#Can anyone tell me the how to access the full resync and if as I have heard rumoured it is no longer available how do you now achieve a resync?

But every time it sync, I receive the following error "Unable to sync. Contact administrator if problem persists." View 1 Replies View RelatedMy mail on my iPhone was set up fine as POP, I used my Mac to get mail and only the iPhone if I was away without the Mac, so it only downloaded email not received on the Mac yet. I had to change my password with my provider (Virgin Media) and my mail account on my iPhone wouldn't recognise it even though it was correct so I deleted the account to set it up again. However, it won't give me the option of POP, only IMAP and now it keeps downloading hundreds of old emails. I just want to go back to POP! I've seen sites which show how to set up a mail account and they say "now choose POP or IMAP" but my set up never gives me that choice, it just takes my settings, verifies them and sets it up as IMAP.

I use it to send and receive emails on my phone.The emails that I receive go to the "inbox" on the E52 and I can access that on my PC too.The emails that I send go to the "Sent items" folder on the E52 and not the IMAP sent folder.Ovi Suite will not let me download sent emails to my PC.

The phone kept showing "I'm deleting the messages" but with no succes.So I removed the account, hoping to delete the messages. For some reason I seem not to be able to find any other email setting possibilities than Mail for Exchange and web-based (Gmail, Ovi etc). I have tried to give the email settings program a dummy password to be able to manually edit the settings, but the phone seems not to provide me any other options than Mail for Exchange.
What should I do to be able to set up my plain old IMAP email? I have done that manually on already 5 different S60 phones so I am perfectly capable of doing that myself once the phone provides me the possibility to write the settings somewhere.
I have an E7-00. I'm trying to use the email app to connect to an IMAP4 server (which I run).When I delete a message on the E7, the email app appears to mark the message as deleted, and then it immediately does an expunge on the mailbox, so destroying all deleted messages in the mailbox. This is not the behaviour I want.The convention used on this mail server is that when the user asks to delete a message, the email app should move the message to a Trash folder, so preserving the message for a period of time. I can't find a way to configure the E7's mail client to do this. As this is an utterly standard business requirement

I would like the sent messages to be uploaded to the imap server into a specified folder, not in the sent items folder on the phone. I don't find this settings.

This is supposed to be a business device, but when you add a Lotus Notes mailbox on it, you can't set it on your home screen. How about setting a default mailbox like in S60? View 1 Replies View RelatedBackground - 3 mail accounts set up, not via Nokia mail, but with direct server definitions; they are all for the same ISP, different ID's and passwords for inbound server, same ID and password for outbound server.I have noticed that if there is nothing thing in the in-basket for a given account the folders (inbox, Drafts, sent;outbox) do not appear in the dropdown - even though I know there are items in the "sent" folder.The moment something comes into the inbox - they re-appear - and the expected items are in the "sent" folder once again.Weird - and inconvenient, since it means you cannot access sent items if your inbox is empty.
