I installed emoze app on E72 and tried my email set up using 'Home/Other mail' as an IMAP mail set up. However when I try connecting , it throws Login(-37) failed error. Am I missing something here ? Should I be using any other option for email set up in emoze?

I use it to send and receive emails on my phone.The emails that I receive go to the "inbox" on the E52 and I can access that on my PC too.The emails that I send go to the "Sent items" folder on the E52 and not the IMAP sent folder.Ovi Suite will not let me download sent emails to my PC.

For some reason I seem not to be able to find any other email setting possibilities than Mail for Exchange and web-based (Gmail, Ovi etc). I have tried to give the email settings program a dummy password to be able to manually edit the settings, but the phone seems not to provide me any other options than Mail for Exchange.
What should I do to be able to set up my plain old IMAP email? I have done that manually on already 5 different S60 phones so I am perfectly capable of doing that myself once the phone provides me the possibility to write the settings somewhere.
I have an E7-00. I'm trying to use the email app to connect to an IMAP4 server (which I run).When I delete a message on the E7, the email app appears to mark the message as deleted, and then it immediately does an expunge on the mailbox, so destroying all deleted messages in the mailbox. This is not the behaviour I want.The convention used on this mail server is that when the user asks to delete a message, the email app should move the message to a Trash folder, so preserving the message for a period of time. I can't find a way to configure the E7's mail client to do this. As this is an utterly standard business requirement

I take the opportunity to report other 3 issuesI have 2 emails accounts @mycompany.com that were regularly being used. I did not update the firmware nor performed any changes on the phone, all of a sudden the E6 does not connect with the email accounts, there is no error message.I tried the following:1) Re-entered the password of the email account, I confirm this is right2) Created one of the email accounts that were on the E6 on 2 other devices (Ipad and Palm Pre), they work perfect, both on Wifi, on my operator,(Orange) and on an other phone operator (Swisscom)3) deleted one email account, from the E6. I restarted the phone (by holding the button 8 seconds) and recreated the email account, this is not possible, I get the following error message:" service temporarily unavailable. Try again later. "4) I repeated the test (point3) both on WiFi and using the 3G operator. I got the same errorOn the E6 there is also a Gmail account, which works flawlessly.Using the email is not an option for my business, so I wish that THIS TIME I will get an effective reply from NOKIA. ( NOKIA don't tell me again that I have to use OVI account or my mailprovider does not work, because as explained I tested the settings on other devices.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm quite sure that an Imap account of mine was taking 25MB from C drive space.So, I've tried to convert it to POP and delete the emails from the phone. It didn't work. The phone kept showing "I'm deleting the messages" but with no succes.So I removed the account, hoping to delete the messages. From what I see it didn't do the trick.Now, I would like to find where the emails are stored and manually delete them.

- Mail for Exchange Client (Job account)
- IMAP G-Mail (Personal account)
- IMAP GMX.net (Personal account)
Everything worked fine for one week, then my second IMAP-account (GMX) stopped syncing. In my browser I can see that there are unread messages in the account but the E7 does not download them.
I have a Nokia E52. I have an imap mailbox. It's working well on the phone, BUT when I send an email message, it moves the message to the SENT ITEMS folder of the phone. I would like the sent messages to be uploaded to the imap server into a specified folder, not in the sent items folder on the phone. I don't find this settings.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave been using my E6 for month with no issue. Friday my email stopped downloading from hotmail. I deleted the mail setup however now it won't set up. Have tried to set up a gmail as well with no success. It goes to configure the mailbox and then I get "unable to connect with the information provided. Try again". It has been doing this since Saturday 4th Feb.. I have upgraded the software on the phone and reset factory settings with no success.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI received my E72 today with the latest firmware update 031.023. I tried to set up email many times. A message shows up "No email mailboxes defined. Create a mailbox?" I click yes and then I either go to Hotmail or Gmail to setup the account. After I enter the username and password, a message shows up "detect email settings" and the screen goes right back to the [Email] screen. I do not see a separate application to check my gmail or hotmail emails and then it goes back to the beginning with a message asking me to create a mailbox.

Before then, those two accounts were set up on my E5 so she could have quick access to her emails. Since that day my own gmail and nokia email accounts have not been updating, including her two accounts. I keep being required to input my password for my gmail. Even when I input it, it still won't connect. I have changed my gmail password and attempted to connect, still nothing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got my new Nokia E72, happy with it overall, just a couple of niggles (apart from the build quality...), which I'd like to check with more owners of this phone.
When I press the EMail shortcut key, on the top right side of the keypad, this shortcut doesn't open the general EMail "folder" where I can see my GMail, Yahoo!, and Hotmail email accounts, instead it opens my Yahoo! email account directly, and I have to go back to the general "folder" to see my other email accounts...
I've tried playing with all the different options, but so far cannot make it work as I think it should be, which would be to go to the main EMail "folder", so I can choose which EMail account I want to open/synchronise, and not just opening the first EMail account I set up... Also, is not downloading the "Sent Items" folder, even though I chose "All" in What to download...
I have been using Nokia email messaging for a while now but suddenly today it is asking me for a Password. I understand that this should be the password for the first email account that I set up on the E71. I have tried this as well as the password for the other account with no success.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI had setup and Active Exchange account for my Gmail (this way I could also sync my mail, calendar, and todo lists easily). Everything was working smoothly, until I installed the Mircrosoft Apps update yesterday. Now I can no longer get this to work. It says my Inbox is empty and never finds any mail. It did work yesterday after I deleted the mail account re setup the active exchange account. But then last night I turned my phone off and this morning when I had turned it on, the account email inbox was all blank/empty. The Calendar was still synced though.Now I am trying to re setup the account, and its not working at all.(Nokia E7 Belle phone)
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe email client on my N8 with Belle suddenly stopped working. I have configured my email with IMAP (Standard not OVI!) and it was working OK until a couple of days ago. Now I can not retrieve/send any email - I always get the message: "Unable to sign in. Try again.". I also tried and removed this particular account and added it once again (as a matter of fact I did this about 10 times!!!) but still no emails are shown. Of course this same mail is working perfectly on all of my PCs and notebooks.

After doing a manual sync by pressing the refresh icon, I would get emails pushed to my phone fine. However, after some time emails stop getting pushed to my phone. The period of time when push seems to be working varies around a few hours. When it stops working I have to do a manual sync again in order to get push to work for another few hours.

What's the solution for email? Shows the "Preparing for Setup" message forever when I launch the email wizard and doesn't move forward to display options of GMail, Yahoo etc.

I have a Nokia E72-2 and I have configured an office account (mail for exchange), gmail and hotmail email. i also had configured a yahoo account but as it didn't work, I went o the settings and removed it.
Since that day, I have not been able to add any new account to the program. Whenever I go to add a new account I open the New mailbox, select anthing on the next screen (yahoo/gmail), it promps to enter email id and password, which i do. then there is a message "detecting email settings" and then it goes back to the screen where I selected yahoo/gmail. I have an E5-00 and would like to get notifications on all my email accounts. It appears that only the two email accounts set up on your home screen will actually set tone, vibrate and envelope icon alerts when receiving new email.The advertising blurb for the E5 states 10 email accounts can be set up on this phone with push notifications. What is the point in having push enabled accounts for 10 mailboxes if only two will give phone notifications?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having real trouble trying to get any kind of push email on my Nokia E63. I'm in the UK and on firmware 410.21.010 with Nokia Email 9.06.16. According to the Nokia updating site this is the most recent firmware available for my serial number.The email setup just doesn't seem to work at all like the help docs here suggest. I get no option for 'Nokia Email Service' but I do get one for gmail. I can then setup my gmail box OK - but there is no setting for IMAP idle. It only allows me to set up a scheduled retrieval (at best every 5 minutes) and even then only downloads the headers so I have to manually download the message body. Does Nokia really not do push email at all?I've been using emoze as an alternative for a while - but stopped when I found that it was sending random email all by itself. And Mail for Exchange doesn't work with gmail for me - it just stops syncing after a while.
