I received my E72 today with the latest firmware update 031.023. I tried to set up email many times. A message shows up "No email mailboxes defined. Create a mailbox?" I click yes and then I either go to Hotmail or Gmail to setup the account. After I enter the username and password, a message shows up "detect email settings" and the screen goes right back to the [Email] screen. I do not see a separate application to check my gmail or hotmail emails and then it goes back to the beginning with a message asking me to create a mailbox.
Have been using my E6 for month with no issue. Friday my email stopped downloading from hotmail. I deleted the mail setup however now it won't set up. Have tried to set up a gmail as well with no success. It goes to configure the mailbox and then I get "unable to connect with the information provided. Try again". It has been doing this since Saturday 4th Feb.. I have upgraded the software on the phone and reset factory settings with no success.
I am wondering is there any way to active my email through WiFi? I do not know why I can not? When I go through setup wizard, it makes nothing only ask about my GPRS.
i've been trying to set up an email account on my e72 but i can't seem to get it right
i get to the point where you have to select the email pproviders.i select gmail, enter my account name, then my password, press ok and it sends me back to the email provider selection list.
my only option there is press back or option.but back just takes me back to the begoning without any of the options being save.
I upgraded my E6 with BELLE OS. Since then, it is impossible to set up my gmail account. and it is impossible to downgrade to previous OS where it was working. when upgrading my stuff, i expect better experience than before, in this case, it is worse!
Currently, Im trying to setup three email boxes to be displayed on my homescreen on my Nokia E5-00. I already setup 3 emailboxes under Menu - Office - email; this all works perfectly.
In the beginning, I only displayed my hotmail en gmail on my homescreen. I recently (succesfully) added my work emailaddress (through exhnage/MfE), and now I want to have this emailbox to be displayed on my homescreen.
However, so far Ive only found out (through Settings - General - Personal - Standby modus - Modus settings - Emailnotofication), youre only capable of showing 2 emailboxes on your homescreen. Is there any way to get 3 emailboxes to be displayed on your homescreen?
why cant I change the name of my emailbox setup through MfE/Exchange? E.g., you can rename your gmail box to any desired name; this however isnt possible for MfE/Exchange emailadresses.

I can view the person who had this phones email account, but I can't set my new one up. I use the "email setup wizard" go into it, connect, and then it asks me my email address, I enter the CORRECT one and that's as far as this thing will let me go. I don't even get to the part where it asks me for a Password. after I enter my email address it tries to connect to the server (which is yahoo mail) and then I get the message "Unable to connect to server. Try again later."....And that's all it keeps doing. I have no clue how to set up an email on this phone. I use it with my WAN connection and with my providers internet and get the same message both times.
Post update version081.003, all my emails have stopped working. Also i am unable to setup any new email account. a message pops up showing- "unable to create mailbox". i have also done the hard reset and restore factory settings,still no success. its very sad to see nokia updates tend to create more problems then solving them. is there any way to install the previous software version?
On the 24 of October, 2012, I helped my wife set up her yahoo and gmail email accounts on her new Nokia X-series phone. Before then, those two accounts were set up on my E5 so she could have quick access to her emails. Since that day my own gmail and nokia email accounts have not been updating, including her two accounts. I keep being required to input my password for my gmail. Even when I input it, it still won't connect. I have changed my gmail password and attempted to connect, still nothing.
When sending an email, my E72 used to offer suggestions from my address book when I start typing in the "To" section. That is no longer working. My only option is the click in the box, and another window opens where I then select from my address book.
I installed emoze app on E72 and tried my email set up using 'Home/Other mail' as an IMAP mail set up. However when I try connecting , it throws Login(-37) failed error. Am I missing something here ? Should I be using any other option for email set up in emoze?
I just got my new Nokia E72, happy with it overall, just a couple of niggles (apart from the build quality...), which I'd like to check with more owners of this phone.
When I press the EMail shortcut key, on the top right side of the keypad, this shortcut doesn't open the general EMail "folder" where I can see my GMail, Yahoo!, and Hotmail email accounts, instead it opens my Yahoo! email account directly, and I have to go back to the general "folder" to see my other email accounts...
I've tried playing with all the different options, but so far cannot make it work as I think it should be, which would be to go to the main EMail "folder", so I can choose which EMail account I want to open/synchronise, and not just opening the first EMail account I set up... Also, is not downloading the "Sent Items" folder, even though I chose "All" in What to download...
I have been using Nokia email messaging for a while now but suddenly today it is asking me for a Password. I understand that this should be the password for the first email account that I set up on the E71. I have tried this as well as the password for the other account with no success.
from 13th Feb 2010 2pm onwards am not getting any mails in my fone. am using Nokia e72 already configured my mails. personal and gmail, yahoo, hotmail, yesterday onwards am not getting any mails. am not getting any error message. email also connected with web. no synchronizing. just connected. unable to send and receive message. my data plan is working perfect another web application is working and able to browse in web. still it is not pushing the mail. all the mails not working. Nokia Messaging Service got any bug ? or they holded the service form some time? I'm from india bangalore
I had setup and Active Exchange account for my Gmail (this way I could also sync my mail, calendar, and todo lists easily). Everything was working smoothly, until I installed the Mircrosoft Apps update yesterday. Now I can no longer get this to work. It says my Inbox is empty and never finds any mail. It did work yesterday after I deleted the mail account re setup the active exchange account. But then last night I turned my phone off and this morning when I had turned it on, the account email inbox was all blank/empty. The Calendar was still synced though.Now I am trying to re setup the account, and its not working at all.(Nokia E7 Belle phone)
I am trying like hell to setup a gmail account on my nokia E6 but its not working.. i keep on getting the message 'Unable to connect with information provided. Try again.'
When i try mail for exchange, its more or less same since it keeps on asking my password without any further action.
I've just got an E7 and started to set it up. When the option to transfer the address book from another Nokia phone was chosen, the phone simply died. It doesn't turn on anymore, the light does not appear when the charging cable in plugged in, and, well, it's overall not responsive.

How to setup gmail on my nokia e72. Its been a few months since I got my E72 and I tried to setup gmail using the email setup wizard. Everything goes well and it goes to inbox and says " Gmail Connected" but then tries to sync but cannot get any emails and inbox remains empty. I looked at the IMAP settings for gmail and they were correctly entered.
I am trying to set up my Hotmail and Gmail account on my E7. When opening the email app for the first time I enter a new username and password. On the next step it only gives me "exchange active sync" as an option and not the rest of the email providers as it does on my E6 for example.
My Nokia history:2110 => 6110 => 8110 => 6310 => 2300 => 2600 => 6070 => E71 => N97 Mini => E72 => C7 => E7 => E6 => 700
How do I configure email to blink the notification light when an email is received? Also, I have 3 email accounts configured: Exchange and 2 Gmail accounts. I changed the Gmail accounts to sync email every 15 minutes. The Exchange account works but not the gmail accounts. Gmail has IMAP already enabled.
I have recently gone through a new update and now I cannot access my email accounts to change my passwords. I am required to change my passwords every 90 days so I am familiar with the process and since the update I ran on Friday May 27th, I can go to "setup", and select "Email Accounts", and then it just tells me that "Updates are ready for your device." I am able to select either "yes" or "no", but either option takes me back to the "setup" menu. Is there a way I can uninstall the most recent update, or is there a way to fix this issue?
i have been using email service for more than a year now through my BB storm 2 (9520) recently i got a message that i need to verify my email password and as i did that through email set up i got the pop up msg as " email address and password do not match " however when i use my mail on laptop it works with the same password. i formatted my phone also still it wont work?
I just got a new Blackberry Torch 9860, before I had a Bold 9800. I had two different e-mail addresses set up on the Bold, but for some reason I can only set up one of them on the new Torch. The e-mal address that is connected with my blackberry ID can not be set up anymore.
Trying to get my email account onto my Blackberry Torch 9800.I go into Setup and select Email Accounts. Then it goes straight into "Enterprise Activation" , after watching the demo video on this there should be an option to choose Internet accounts, but this step is getting skipped with no way to go back.

My phone crashed on me the other day. After letting it reset, I am unable to setup email. When I go to Setup-Email Accounts- and then click on Internet Email Account, the phone does not respond. It only responds when I click Enterprise Email.
Recently I had to change my gmail password and now I am not able to receive email on my device. I am using the bold 9700 and upgraded to OS 6. When I go into setup manager and I click on email nothing happens. Is there any way I can either delete the old inbox that was on my phone and resetup a new email box, or change my password on the device so that I can get my email working again.
About a month ago I had a severe system crash and had to re-install BB 7.1, once it was re-installed I used Blackberry Protect to get all my settings back. For some reason since then my phone will not send or recieve email even though it shows I have an email account set up on it. When I go to Setup and try to click on "Email Accounts" nothing happens MOST of the time. Sometimes I can get into the next screen but it won't let me open the BIS only the BES. I have searched and searched and used a few of the remedies I have seen on here and none of them have worked. I have the approriate data plan as email worked fine BEFORE the system crash, I have "registered" it and re-sent the data packs and everything else. I just can't get past the one screen to get INTO the settings. I have tried mobile.blackberry.com, chose Canada but there is NOTHING there to change any email settings.
