I have been using Nokia email messaging for a while now but suddenly today it is asking me for a Password. I understand that this should be the password for the first email account that I set up on the E71. I have tried this as well as the password for the other account with no success.
View 3 Repliesfrom 13th Feb 2010 2pm onwards am not getting any mails in my fone. am using Nokia e72 already configured my mails. personal and gmail, yahoo, hotmail, yesterday onwards am not getting any mails. am not getting any error message. email also connected with web. no synchronizing. just connected. unable to send and receive message. my data plan is working perfect another web application is working and able to browse in web. still it is not pushing the mail. all the mails not working. Nokia Messaging Service got any bug ? or they holded the service form some time? I'm from india bangalore

View 10 Replies View RelatedI just got my new Nokia E72, happy with it overall, just a couple of niggles (apart from the build quality...), which I'd like to check with more owners of this phone.
When I press the EMail shortcut key, on the top right side of the keypad, this shortcut doesn't open the general EMail "folder" where I can see my GMail, Yahoo!, and Hotmail email accounts, instead it opens my Yahoo! email account directly, and I have to go back to the general "folder" to see my other email accounts...
I've tried playing with all the different options, but so far cannot make it work as I think it should be, which would be to go to the main EMail "folder", so I can choose which EMail account I want to open/synchronise, and not just opening the first EMail account I set up... Also, is not downloading the "Sent Items" folder, even though I chose "All" in What to download...
I have decided to try nokia messaging on my E72 so that I can get IMAP idle working properly. I tried to set this up, but was unable to do so. Searching on the WWW seems to bring back sites which over the last week have not loaded [URL]

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have used E63 before E72 and there was an option in E63 that as I selected to Synchronise after 30 Minutes then GPRS will disconnect and will be reconnect after 30 minutes and synchronise and disconnect.But in E72 GPRS all the time connected and sychronise. Is it possible that GPRS connect only the time at which we specified e.g. after 30 minutes.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHave been using my E6 for month with no issue. Friday my email stopped downloading from hotmail. I deleted the mail setup however now it won't set up. Have tried to set up a gmail as well with no success. It goes to configure the mailbox and then I get "unable to connect with the information provided. Try again". It has been doing this since Saturday 4th Feb.. I have upgraded the software on the phone and reset factory settings with no success.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI received my E72 today with the latest firmware update 031.023. I tried to set up email many times. A message shows up "No email mailboxes defined. Create a mailbox?" I click yes and then I either go to Hotmail or Gmail to setup the account. After I enter the username and password, a message shows up "detect email settings" and the screen goes right back to the [Email] screen. I do not see a separate application to check my gmail or hotmail emails and then it goes back to the beginning with a message asking me to create a mailbox.

Before then, those two accounts were set up on my E5 so she could have quick access to her emails. Since that day my own gmail and nokia email accounts have not been updating, including her two accounts. I keep being required to input my password for my gmail. Even when I input it, it still won't connect. I have changed my gmail password and attempted to connect, still nothing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had setup and Active Exchange account for my Gmail (this way I could also sync my mail, calendar, and todo lists easily). Everything was working smoothly, until I installed the Mircrosoft Apps update yesterday. Now I can no longer get this to work. It says my Inbox is empty and never finds any mail. It did work yesterday after I deleted the mail account re setup the active exchange account. But then last night I turned my phone off and this morning when I had turned it on, the account email inbox was all blank/empty. The Calendar was still synced though.Now I am trying to re setup the account, and its not working at all.(Nokia E7 Belle phone)

Now every time I open up the email widget, it keeps asking me for my password and says login unsuccessful when I enter the password and try to login.Just an hour earlier, it was working fine.
By the way, I'm in Vancouver, Canada.
I have installed the latest IM application on my E63. When I try to log in onto Y! Community the application returns the following message: " Nokia Messaging subscription is required to activate the services you have selected. By pressing Reject, you will have access to Ovi Chat, Nokia's Community. For more information, visit messaging.nokia.com" Although I have visited the above mentioned site there is no information to help me successfully sign in into IM application.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI removed my memory card to upload some pics to my computer cause my usb port does not work anymore and since I didn't get around to doing this quickly, I've been using the phone without the memory card. It has been a week and not one instance of freezing up. I put my card in about 2 hours ago just to see if it was fixed and it just now froze again. This obviously is not a solution but it leads me to believe that probably an app or some misc thing on my card is causing this. There is plenty of memory left on the card by the way. Now if I could only find the right settings to install hotmail, rocketmail (yahoo), ovi and gmail mail boxes. I have the issue where the mail boxes never appear after setup.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am on T-mobile with an E7.When I try and text my friend with Verizon the message gets broken up and spaced out L I K E t h is.And usually the whole message never displays. This happened twice on two different Verizon phones. One after a while was fine again sending messages normally while the other one still has the problem. Ive tried resetting the phone (power off power on) deleting contact, sending text in threaded and single message reply. I have also updated the phone to the most recent software as of March 15, 2011 6:45 PM.

So I synced my contacts, messages, photos and videos to my Nokia Suite, then did a hard reset to my phone; the *#7370#. When it's back on, I try to use messaging but it won't open. Downloaded WhatsApp again and it worked fine. Synced all nicely except for the messages. Guess it's because the messaging won't open. What's wrong with it. Furthermore, there's also other software that is preinstalled when I got it that won't open but I don't use them anyway. But I need my messaging. So please help.Also did the hard and soft reset again, still won't open. Got my friend to send me a text to see if I can receive it but I can't. So messaging not opening, not receiveing text, can't read texts since the program won't open.

Since then all of my messages which contain html code are displayed as is, without the phone parsing the code. What I mean is instead of normal writing I just get html code.

Yesterday everything was fine, but today when I make or receive calls, people can't hear me speak, while I can hear them perfectly. I tried the recorder, but when I make a record, again I don't hear anything when I play it, so the problem must be in the microphone. I haven't dropped or hit my phone, no accidents, nothing. I even tried to restart it, but it still didn't work.
