Eseries / Communicators :: Nokia E52 Sent Messages To Different Imap Folder
Jan 22, 2011I have a Nokia E52. I have an imap mailbox. It's working well on the phone, BUT when I send an email message, it moves the message to the SENT ITEMS folder of the phone. I would like the sent messages to be uploaded to the imap server into a specified folder, not in the sent items folder on the phone. I don't find this settings.

May 25, 2011I have an IMAP email account. I use it to send and receive emails on my phone.The emails that I receive go to the "inbox" on the E52 and I can access that on my PC too.The emails that I send go to the "Sent items" folder on the E52 and not the IMAP sent folder.Ovi Suite will not let me download sent emails to my PC.

Jun 9, 2011How do you create an email folder on the E7? When I try to save a received email, the only folder offered is the Inbox and obviously there is no point in saving it where it is already. There seems to be no way to create another folder (for example, one called Archive). Or where to find the existing folders through the phone browser on a pc?

Feb 25, 2011Trying to install my email settings to my new E7. For some reason I seem not to be able to find any other email setting possibilities than Mail for Exchange and web-based (Gmail, Ovi etc). I have tried to give the email settings program a dummy password to be able to manually edit the settings, but the phone seems not to provide me any other options than Mail for Exchange.
What should I do to be able to set up my plain old IMAP email? I have done that manually on already 5 different S60 phones so I am perfectly capable of doing that myself once the phone provides me the possibility to write the settings somewhere.

Apr 11, 2012I have an E7-00. I'm trying to use the email app to connect to an IMAP4 server (which I run).When I delete a message on the E7, the email app appears to mark the message as deleted, and then it immediately does an expunge on the mailbox, so destroying all deleted messages in the mailbox. This is not the behaviour I want.The convention used on this mail server is that when the user asks to delete a message, the email app should move the message to a Trash folder, so preserving the message for a period of time. I can't find a way to configure the E7's mail client to do this. As this is an utterly standard business requirement

Aug 28, 2010I installed emoze app on E72 and tried my email set up using 'Home/Other mail' as an IMAP mail set up. However when I try connecting , it throws Login(-37) failed error. Am I missing something here ? Should I be using any other option for email set up in emoze?

Oct 30, 2011since Friday28th of October, in the morning I am experiencing a rather unpleasant issue: my Nokia E6 dos not connect to my company's email IMAP email accounts. I take the opportunity to report other 3 issuesI have 2 emails accounts @mycompany.com that were regularly being used. I did not update the firmware nor performed any changes on the phone, all of a sudden the E6 does not connect with the email accounts, there is no error message.I tried the following:1) Re-entered the password of the email account, I confirm this is right2) Created one of the email accounts that were on the E6 on 2 other devices (Ipad and Palm Pre), they work perfect, both on Wifi, on my operator,(Orange) and on an other phone operator (Swisscom)3) deleted one email account, from the E6. I restarted the phone (by holding the button 8 seconds) and recreated the email account, this is not possible, I get the following error message:" service temporarily unavailable. Try again later. "4) I repeated the test (point3) both on WiFi and using the 3G operator. I got the same errorOn the E6 there is also a Gmail account, which works flawlessly.Using the email is not an option for my business, so I wish that THIS TIME I will get an effective reply from NOKIA. ( NOKIA don't tell me again that I have to use OVI account or my mailprovider does not work, because as explained I tested the settings on other devices.

LG G4 :: Stock Email App - Sent Folder Not Syncing With IMAP
Oct 22, 2015I recently moved from iphone to Android and the G4 is my first android phone. My work email is IMAP and although everything is working, my sent folder on the phone seems local to the device. Google shows a couple of different options with the most reasonable one being "setting the IMAP path prefix" but the email app on the G4 has no such setting.
This is a pretty big deal for me as I have tons of email and need the Inbox and Sent folders to be synced with the server. (by the way, I have disabled automatic sync, but for a different reason, i.e. to not allow my gmail account to sync contacts on the phone. But the auto-sync is not something that affects the Sent folder)...

Dec 27, 2010today my e52 froze, was up to date (051.018) so i reinstalled the software using the nokia ovi suite. my phone turned on a again, no problem everything seemed oke until i noticed the folder 'internet' was now called 'web' and i can't put the shortcuts to facebook and Internet there anymore. a second thing that had changed is the folder gps disappeared. and now the 3 apps who were in there are just in the app's folder

Sep 7, 2011I'm quite sure that an Imap account of mine was taking 25MB from C drive space.So, I've tried to convert it to POP and delete the emails from the phone. It didn't work. The phone kept showing "I'm deleting the messages" but with no succes.So I removed the account, hoping to delete the messages. From what I see it didn't do the trick.Now, I would like to find where the emails are stored and manually delete them.

May 25, 2011I bought an E7 two weeks ago and use the embedded mail programme with:
- Mail for Exchange Client (Job account)
- IMAP G-Mail (Personal account)
- IMAP GMX.net (Personal account)
Everything worked fine for one week, then my second IMAP-account (GMX) stopped syncing. In my browser I can see that there are unread messages in the account but the E7 does not download them.

May 24, 2011My E72 will not save sent messages. To quote: "Yr last 20 messages sent are automatically saved in the Sent folder". They ain't. "To change the number of saved messages, open Messaging > Options > Settings > Other". There is no Other option in Settings. Currently on software 054.005.217.11, but this was a problem before the update.

Jul 24, 2011I've been transferring some favourite ringtones onto my E6. Now when you personalise a profile and go to select a ringtone, you are given some location options, Download sound clips, tones, songs and sound clips.
The ringtones aren't songs so I'm not saving them with my music otherwise the media player will just treat them as music. So that rules out "songs" Tones seems to be a system folder in which the standard ringtones are saved and to which the user is not allowed to even see, never mind access.
So I decided I'll manually save my ringtones in the "sound clips" folder. I have tried saving my ringtones into the folder called "sound clips" which appears on all three drives, the phone memory, mass memory and memory card yet still nothing appears in "sound clips" selection when attempting to select a ringtone.
I hope I'm not missing something obvious here but does anyone know where the "sound clips" folder used by the ringtone selector is actually located?
As an aside, have you noticed when you browse the folders of the E6 using the built in file manager and then do the same from your PC via a USB connection, some of the folders have completely different names. Hardly logical or intuitive and it makes life difficult for numb nuts here trying to find his ringtones.

Transfer the tone from Garageband into iTunes (can either be shared as a specific ringtone file ('mpr' I believe), or can transfer as a regular song ('mp3').Then I use Bluetooth to send the new ringtone file from the Mac to the Phone (E7-00, Symbian Anna).It gets stored, initially, in the E:/Received Files folder. Fair enough.But now here's the problem - where can I store the new ringtone file after that, so it would appear in the phone's 'Tones' folder, the one that's displayed when I want to, e.g., change the ringtone / text-message / email alert, altogether? What I'm getting at is that I'd very much like my new ring / alert tone to feature on the default list of all the Nokia-assigned ringtones that comes as standard with the phone?Otherwise, it appears I have to save the file in the generic songs list to be played (and used as a ring / alert tone), amongst all the other actual music I listen to with the Music Player function, which I don't want to do...

Oct 24, 2010I've got bad problem on my NOKIA E72 firmware 51.018 (the same problem was before on 31.023 too). When I send MMS, the message is sent and recipient gets it, but message doesn't delete from Outbox folder. Although message was sent and received by recipient it stays in Outbox folder marked as "Deferred". Why ? It was sent and recipient gets it normally.

Well, This has to be a basic feature of a smart phone (infact, any phone)
if there is a number being displayed on the screen ... USER CAN MAKE A CALL TO IT.
But unfortunately NOKIA has failed to provide this BASIC FUNCTION.
Is there any hope of getting this BASIC feature in next update?

Jun 29, 2011Anyone got problem with emails not being updated correctly?Have 3 POP3 accounts in my E6 and tested sync "soonest" and "15min" and never updates it for new emails, not even when i hit "z" it seems to sync correctly.Even sometimes it does, the overview screen/Home screen is stuck with preview from old emails.Hate this because if the email does not work properly it is completely useless for me. This works perfect on my E71 and E72.

Jul 14, 2010I just got my new Nokia E72, happy with it overall, just a couple of niggles (apart from the build quality...), which I'd like to check with more owners of this phone.
When I press the EMail shortcut key, on the top right side of the keypad, this shortcut doesn't open the general EMail "folder" where I can see my GMail, Yahoo!, and Hotmail email accounts, instead it opens my Yahoo! email account directly, and I have to go back to the general "folder" to see my other email accounts...
I've tried playing with all the different options, but so far cannot make it work as I think it should be, which would be to go to the main EMail "folder", so I can choose which EMail account I want to open/synchronise, and not just opening the first EMail account I set up... Also, is not downloading the "Sent Items" folder, even though I chose "All" in What to download...

Mar 3, 2011I have 2 email accounts on my E5, gmail for personal use, mail for exchange for work use. Does anyone know if I can have seperate alert tones for the 2 accounts. I currently have the same tone for both accounts which is confusing when a new email comes through as I don't know which account to look in first, this happens at least every 10 minutes.
