I used to use Nokia Photo Browser to see my pictures, instead of the default Gallery (hope this is the right name in English).
Somehow, recently I couldn't see the latest pictures with Photo Browser and I found that my Camera NOW stores the pictures in E:DCIM100NOKIA instead of E:PICTURESecc.I've tried a rest of the settings of Camera but with no success.
I want to know where the GPS data in E63 is stored?

After installing Microsoft Apps I found Nokia email app changed: some shortcut missing (new email, for example), D-Pad navigation reduced (no ability to reach the top: accounts, order of emails, ..), an inconsistently composer interface (white background, rounded fields, etc). It's been Microsoft Apps or a Nokia update? I didn't notice it before though.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy E72 will not save sent messages. To quote: "Yr last 20 messages sent are automatically saved in the Sent folder". They ain't. "To change the number of saved messages, open Messaging > Options > Settings > Other". There is no Other option in Settings. Currently on software 054.005.217.11, but this was a problem before the update.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been transferring some favourite ringtones onto my E6. Now when you personalise a profile and go to select a ringtone, you are given some location options, Download sound clips, tones, songs and sound clips.
The ringtones aren't songs so I'm not saving them with my music otherwise the media player will just treat them as music. So that rules out "songs" Tones seems to be a system folder in which the standard ringtones are saved and to which the user is not allowed to even see, never mind access.
So I decided I'll manually save my ringtones in the "sound clips" folder. I have tried saving my ringtones into the folder called "sound clips" which appears on all three drives, the phone memory, mass memory and memory card yet still nothing appears in "sound clips" selection when attempting to select a ringtone.
I hope I'm not missing something obvious here but does anyone know where the "sound clips" folder used by the ringtone selector is actually located?
As an aside, have you noticed when you browse the folders of the E6 using the built in file manager and then do the same from your PC via a USB connection, some of the folders have completely different names. Hardly logical or intuitive and it makes life difficult for numb nuts here trying to find his ringtones.
Often make my own ringtones using Garageband on my Mac. Transfer the tone from Garageband into iTunes (can either be shared as a specific ringtone file ('mpr' I believe), or can transfer as a regular song ('mp3').Then I use Bluetooth to send the new ringtone file from the Mac to the Phone (E7-00, Symbian Anna).It gets stored, initially, in the E:/Received Files folder. Fair enough.But now here's the problem - where can I store the new ringtone file after that, so it would appear in the phone's 'Tones' folder, the one that's displayed when I want to, e.g., change the ringtone / text-message / email alert, altogether? What I'm getting at is that I'd very much like my new ring / alert tone to feature on the default list of all the Nokia-assigned ringtones that comes as standard with the phone?Otherwise, it appears I have to save the file in the generic songs list to be played (and used as a ring / alert tone), amongst all the other actual music I listen to with the Music Player function, which I don't want to do...

When I send MMS, the message is sent and recipient gets it, but message doesn't delete from Outbox folder. Although message was sent and received by recipient it stays in Outbox folder marked as "Deferred". Why ? It was sent and recipient gets it normally.

View 9 Replies View Relatedtoday my e52 froze, was up to date (051.018) so i reinstalled the software using the nokia ovi suite. my phone turned on a again, no problem everything seemed oke until i noticed the folder 'internet' was now called 'web' and i can't put the shortcuts to facebook and Internet there anymore. a second thing that had changed is the folder gps disappeared. and now the 3 apps who were in there are just in the app's folder

Well, This has to be a basic feature of a smart phone (infact, any phone)
if there is a number being displayed on the screen ... USER CAN MAKE A CALL TO IT.
But unfortunately NOKIA has failed to provide this BASIC FUNCTION.
Is there any hope of getting this BASIC feature in next update?
How do you create an email folder on the E7? When I try to save a received email, the only folder offered is the Inbox and obviously there is no point in saving it where it is already. There seems to be no way to create another folder (for example, one called Archive). Or where to find the existing folders through the phone browser on a pc?

I would like the sent messages to be uploaded to the imap server into a specified folder, not in the sent items folder on the phone. I don't find this settings.

Now I am left with three PGA game icons in my installations folder and none of them works... View 5 Replies View Relatedthe gallery app which was included isn't showing any pictures, which is extremly annoying, because many apps, like facebook apps, just show a black screen when I select "upload from gallery" If I open up the Gallery app the screen is just black and no pictures are displayed, only the exit and option buttons. Same problem is with the video app... I've already reseted it three times, but still no change.... And the crazy thing is, that with the photo browser app I'm able to see the pictures... Also there's a problem with switching the ring and alarm-tone. Exactly the same thing, I Do have music on my phone and the player is working... I had an e72, and the pictures were bigger on this phone because of the lower resolution, but it's better to view the pictures big.Is there a possible solution to enlarge the picture or something, or lower the resolution to view the pictures. I have tried the social app on the E6, but that app loads the pictures on facebook very slow, it's practically useless.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some strange reason when I put my memory card into a new E72 when viewing pictures previously saved on to the memory card the images are showing incredibly blurry and sizes range between 1kb and 3kb, the pictures look fine as a thumbnail, and its as if the picture is saved as the thumbnail.
However when viewing through file manager or trough my laptop the images are perfectly sized memory and when opened they aren't blurry at all they are back to normal.
I have already attempted removing images from memory card, putting them back on, moving to phone memory and trying to view them there, but it's the same.
In my old BB Curve, there was a "photo" folder where my photos were automatically stored on my device. On the Torch I cannot locate any folder where photos might be stored. ?

Roughly 40% of the picture is blocked on the bottom side. The weird thing is that there are a few of my contacts whose picture floats ABOVE the grey "Calling..." box. These are the exception though. Most of my contacts with pictures have half their face covered by this box.

1) How do I find the folder where apps are stored? I have an external SD card and when I view it with file manager or via USB on PC I can see the folders but I can't see most of the folders that are on internal storage.
2) How do I get album art to show across multiple media players? I have Cover Art Downloader installed and it found nearly all of album artwork but unfortunately it doesn't show up on stock media player, MixZing, etc.
