Eseries / Communicators :: Battery Symbol Changed To Some "unshaped Square Icon"
Jun 20, 2011
My Phone's battery symbol changed to some "unshaped square icon". I don't know how it happened. I restore the factory settings then the original symbol appeared for 2~3 days. After that it changed to that ugly symbol.
Sometimes when the phone is locked, a rectangle apprears on the screen with numeral 112 inside. I can ignore this and unlock the phone and it works fine. But it returns when I lock the phone. The only way to remove this is to switch off and on.
I used to use Nokia Photo Browser to see my pictures, instead of the default Gallery (hope this is the right name in English). Somehow, recently I couldn't see the latest pictures with Photo Browser and I found that my Camera NOW stores the pictures in E:DCIM100NOKIA instead of E:PICTURESecc.I've tried a rest of the settings of Camera but with no success.
I keep calls diverted whne busy, out of reach etc. For some reason the E7 displays the "All calls diverted" (the bent arrow) on the screen even if I have removed all call diversions and rebooted.
i recently became the owner of an e5 and since i powered the phone up i have had this random envelope symbol flashing on my main screen, at the bottom under the tool bar.i have no messages in my inbox and no voicemails, so am totally clueless as to what it is and how to get rid of it
Just got a new bold 9900 today and when I put the battery in, the battery icon shows up with a red cros and an hour glass turning round and round? So frustrating, what does this mean? do I have a faulty battery?
After installing Microsoft Apps I found Nokia email app changed: some shortcut missing (new email, for example), D-Pad navigation reduced (no ability to reach the top: accounts, order of emails, ..), an inconsistently composer interface (white background, rounded fields, etc). It's been Microsoft Apps or a Nokia update? I didn't notice it before though.
yesterday I notices one new icon on my E72 main screen. On the upper left part of screen (see image) appeared black rectangle with something like "v" inside.
I have an icon at the top of the screen next to the bluetooth one that I don't recognize. It's an @ symbol with a little + symbol in the top left quadrant of the circular bit diametrically opposite the tail on the a. It is there all the time.
I use nokia e71 and recently I had installed Whatsapp application. But since it kept draining the battery, I deleted it by highlighting the application and pressing the delete button. It was successful in removing the application but then unfortunately the wifi icon on the top is always on.Does this mean my wifi is always on? Or that icon which looks like "four squares" (vaguely similar to the windows logo, loosley speaking) stands for something else?
An unknown icon suddenly appeared on the bottom of my E5 screen. It is located on the left of where the alarm clock icon is and looks sort of like the letter I. What is it and how to I remove it?
Ever since I installed Whatsapp on my E72, the WiFi icon won't turn off. I've tried uninstalling Whatsapp to no avail. I've also installed NetQin to use it to manage resident apps. I've disable all non-core apps and the icon still appears.
On previous versions of Symbian, I saw that the bookmark of a webpage uses website's favicon.ico for its icon. I cannot do the same thing on E6. This is limit of Symbian
Yesterday my messaging icon dissapeared from the menu options on my E72. how to have the icon replaced. I am currently only able to access messaging folders on receipt of a new SMS.
the problem is, i bought it today and after turning it on i noticed it. and yes, i tried the messaging>delete sim messages. the problem is, after i open the options, theres nothing about deleting sim messages, other ways to delete them?
I've been using (not that heavy) the E6 for some days now and have noticed that the battery life is no where near as strong as specified as the specifications.
My old E71 performed better. The E6 uses more power yet the standby times are supposedly much improved compared to the E71 (which is ridiculous!) because both phones have the same battery strength.
Do you reckon Nokia have been too optimistic with their battery life specifications. I just feel a bit cheated because the battery life was one of the things I specifically investigated before purchasing the phone.
Today randomly, when I have a new message, the little icon on the bottom of my home screen doesn't come up! The only thing that I could think of that might affect this is that I recently uninstalled communication but I'm pretty sure the icon was coming up after I uninstalled it.
recently I was texting a lot while receiving text messages at the same time. And my phone E72 bugged somehow and the tiny icon when your text messages are being sent out is still there and won't disapear. The icon is just a tiny up arrow with a small bracket under it. The icon won't go away I tried restarting my phone many times its stil there. Now when I send out a text message I don't know when it is done sending because the icon never disapears.
before 2 hours I'm updating my nokia e7 but videos icon does not open and start also why when I'm listen a song Can't up or down the sound from the screen just from the +/- sound button.
My phone is a Nokia E5-00 bought from Hong Kong, and there is no Chat on here even when it states there should be. I checked the ways to download it, like at Ovi Store, but I still found no trace. I haven't really cared about it until recently because I thought E5s didn't have them. And I still don't know if they do or not.
I have a E73 Mode TMobile. The mail icon next to the bluetooth icon will not go away. I've deleted all my voicemail, cleared my inbox on SMS to under 15 messages, and Sent is empty.
Software Version 044.008 Custom/Software Version Update 15-Sept-2010 Type RM-658 Latest update 3.27.2011
So, you get a new message, there normally is like a little rectangle, that says ' 1 new messages ' with an envelope, well, I don't get those anymore, Only the little light goes, but there's no notion that I have a new message.
I'm really excited about the new E6 and has decided to buy it over the iPhone 3G S now available in India. But now my matter of concern is that I hear rumors that the talktime of the Nokia E6 is very less, much lesser than as claimed by Nokia!! Is this right?? Can anybody please clarify? Anybody having good and bad experiences with Nokia E6 are welcome to post their verdict on this phone
I have an E72 and I face a huge problem with the charge in the battery. I have replaced the battery with a standard BP 4L yesterday and I keep facing the same issue. Even after a full charge, I get a 'Battery Low' signal. Can anyone help me to figure out whether the problem is with the battery or the phone?
