Ever since I installed Whatsapp on my E72, the WiFi icon won't turn off. I've tried uninstalling Whatsapp to no avail. I've also installed NetQin to use it to manage resident apps. I've disable all non-core apps and the icon still appears.

But since it kept draining the battery, I deleted it by highlighting the application and pressing the delete button.It was successful in removing the application but then unfortunately the wifi icon on the top is always on.Does this mean my wifi is always on? Or that icon which looks like "four squares" (vaguely similar to the windows logo, loosley speaking) stands for something else?

- The Power Button (on top of the device) doesn't work anymore. Pressing the button causes no reaction.
- The display stays in landscape orientation, no rotation when the device is turned.

Frequently when trying to turn the phone off, the keyboard would become backlit, and then phone was "stuck". Pressing the power button just generated the normal "vibrate", but would not turn off or on. Battery had to be removed.I got fed-up, called Vodafone support, who decided to ship me a replacement phone. In the past 2 weeks that I have had the new phone, the same problem has occurred 5-6 times.My wife's E72 had similar problem, but without the keyboard light on.I have only one new "app" on my phone - "SmartConnect", and my wife has no apps on hers (other than pre-loaded).

And my phone E72 bugged somehow and the tiny icon when your text messages are being sent out is still there and won't disapear.The icon is just a tiny up arrow with a small bracket under it. So, you get a new message, there normally is like a little rectangle, that says ' 1 new messages ' with an envelope, well, I don't get those anymore, Only the little light goes, but there's no notion that I have a new message.

View 3 Replies View RelatedDone a few of these now on my E72 so thought it would be plain sailing. Wrong. The process obviously froze, I gave it plenty of time. The screen said if necessary remove battery etc and reconnect USB lead which is what I did.The phone is now dead other than vibrating as you turn it on. I've tried a hard reset by holding shift, space and backspace while powering up but nothing (other than the vibrate).

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is the problem that I have been facing since I have purchased this phone(2years now). I am not using nokia push mail or even nokia mails at all. I have selected packet data Connection setting as "When Needed".
This happens every time I connect to the internet using mobile network and then remains there forever until either I restart Phone or go to offline mode. This is so annoying because it is not using any data though it is there.
There is a dotted lines below the E sign as you can see in the attachment.
The Nokia tech spec sheet clearly states that there is full screen handwriting recognition on the E7-00. How can this be turned on and used? I am used to an old N97 where this could be done easily with fingers, fobs etc ... no standard implement I try appears to be detected by the E7. Is there a special stylus required to input handwriting on the E7-00? If so as nothing listed under E7-00 accessories.
