BB Torch :: Cannot Locate Any Folder Where Photos Might Be Stored
Aug 15, 2011
In my old BB Curve, there was a "photo" folder where my photos were automatically stored on my device. On the Torch I cannot locate any folder where photos might be stored. ?

One thing has been bugging me lately, namely I can't locate the cities folder anymore when I browse the memory card with PC Suite FileManager. Has it changed its place or what has happened? I don't see it on phone internal memory either. I have downloaded the maps for the whole world, and several voice files. Earlier I could always see the cities folder, not anymore.Nokia E66 (actually two), one has OVI Maps 3.01 while the other has 3.03. I don't think I've seen cities folder in either, but right now I can check it only with OVI Maps 3.01. The qf file can be found in the root, though. The memory card in both is Nokia's MU-44 16Gb memory card.
On the other hand, PC Suite Map Loader, as well as OVI Map Loader, seem to detect there are maps in the phone, and they also let me delete the maps from there.OVI Maps (3.01 and 3.03) is working in both phones, also in offline mode. The only exceptional thing I can think of is that I have downloaded the maps to both phones with PC Suite (Map Loader), not OVI Suite. This is simply because with OVI Suite map loader there always seem to be connection problems with downloading. But like said, OVI Suite also detects the maps on the phone. This wouldn't matter otherwise, but when I decide to re-download some maps, I'd rather delete the cities folder completely and the qf file manually, than trusting Map Loaders slower "delete all maps" function.

I used to use Nokia Photo Browser to see my pictures, instead of the default Gallery (hope this is the right name in English).
Somehow, recently I couldn't see the latest pictures with Photo Browser and I found that my Camera NOW stores the pictures in E:DCIM100NOKIA instead of E:PICTURESecc.I've tried a rest of the settings of Camera but with no success.

I have 2 questions:
1) How do I find the folder where apps are stored? I have an external SD card and when I view it with file manager or via USB on PC I can see the folders but I can't see most of the folders that are on internal storage.
2) How do I get album art to show across multiple media players? I have Cover Art Downloader installed and it found nearly all of album artwork but unfortunately it doesn't show up on stock media player, MixZing, etc.

I am using a nokia 5230 with maps 3.03.When i click on my position inside the app it doesn't locate any satellites, the bottom where the bars are there is only one yellow flashing light. When i click a location and select drive to, it just gets stuck on waiting for GPS and the yellow light for satellites keeps blinking and im outside without any cloud cover!.
Also one more thing, i downloaded the male_us voice pack, what folder do i put it in for it to show up? i tried putting it in E:citiesmale_us and in E:citiesdiskcachemale_us and E:citiesdiskcacheviocesmale_us and none of them show up in the options where you slect them.it still prompts me to download them.i don't have a data plan and this phone doesn't support WIFI.

I recently recieved a replacement DX2. I think when I recieved the replacement phone, I forgot un unmount the SD card from the old phone. When I plug the phone into my computer, I see that photos are stored in the DCIM folder for both the E: drive Removable disk and in K: drive MOT. Why is this? Should I drag the photos from K: over to E: ?Also, I am using Quickpic as a gallery viewer so I can store the photos in folders.

In the 1st week of March, all the photos stored on my neo phone disappeared all of a sudden. I do not see them in the DCIM folder as well. I have seen in many andriod forums that other andriod phone users had also this problem. If there is a way I could get back my old photos.

Does anyone know how to restore photos that were stored to Droid camera? My pictures never saved to the SD card, always to the camera. I was trying to find a way to move the pictures to the SD card, but had no luck. I some how accidently deleted all of my camera pictures? Is there a way to undo that or am I SOL, for lack of a better term?

I deleted the applications folder on my BlackBerry Torch 9810, and although i still have the applications that were in the folder, the folder is no longer there, so the only way for me to access those applications is through the search.

I was sorting through my photos stored on my cell phone. I was trying to rename each photo. I've apparently lost one of the photos prior to processing the name change. I didn't separate the photos into folders. There are only about 10 photos on my phone. I have no idea how I could've deleted one of the photos. If in fact I accidentally hit the "delete" button, is there a feature that states, "Are you sure you want to delete?" Regardless, is there anyway I can recapture that photo somewhere on my phone? Is there a trashcan feature like you have on your laptop where you can go back in and find it? OR is it lost forever?

I got a wee problem with my iphone's camera roll. Every time I take a single photo, it is always saved as two shots for some reason in the Camera roll which is plainly annoying and taking up space in my iPhone too. How do I change the settings to make the camera take one photo and also keep one photo in the Camera roll instead of two?

I have followed demo's and setup instructions to setup internet e-mail accounts on my new Torch 9800. My e-mail setup goes direct to Enterprise Account activation - no option to select internet mail account or Enterprise e-mail. I have tried factory reset - just incase I had messed up during the initial setup of the new phone. software is V6.0.0.600 platform6.6.0.233). My 3 UK account is internet enabled (all works on my old Samsung Galaxy S phone).

How do I find where things are stored? Isn't there a way to see the files and folders and where they are, i.e. SIM Card, Memory Card? I can see these using the BB software, but even then it doesn't show what card I'm looking at. I want to find stuff when I'm not connected to my PC.
