I got my E7 exactly a week back. The phone battery life is very poor. 8-10 hours to the max. What do I do? I am online at annoying time connected to my service provider but 8-10 hours is really bad. Also my emails do not sync immediately only does when I synchronize it. What do I Do? What are the settings for immediate sync?

The only apps running are whatsapp, facebook and bbm. - even if I don't touch my phone the standby time is bearly 2 days (manufacture specs claim 19 days standby time). Surely this can't be right. I have implemented every battery saving technique without any measurable change.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from an E71 to the E5, primarly to get a better battery life. I use Exchange ActiveSync, with 15 minute checks. My service is AT&T 3.5G, and I keep the radio in dual mode. In a normal day on the E71, I could get 12 hours of use out of the phone before running the battery down.
Out of the box, same settings, my E5 is getting about 4-6 hours. Longer if I don't make any phone calls. But if I talk on the phone for 20-30 minutes, it will last around 4 hours total.
I am in the Dallas, TX market, and got the phone from Amazon. Has anyone else had similar experience? Any recommendation? This is really bad, and I am about ready to just return the phone to Amazon, and go back to my E71

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've had my e5-00 for about a year now and I could always get around 3 - 4 days of use out of it without charging. Now, after upgrading to 081.004, the battery doesn't even last for a day. I have to charge it approx. every 20 hours and that's without calling, texting, browsing or using the phone at all really. Wifi and bluetooth are turned off and I didn't change any other settings.

He is not making lots of calls. Life goes while on standby. We have also brought a new battery, still has the problem. The battery is a genuine Nokia battery.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to 2.3.4 my battery is drained from 100% to about 5% in about 3 hours. I noticed that data is constantly being sent and received. It seems if I change my emaill devlivery option on corporate sync email accounts from push to a periodic time, things gets much better. If I delete all but 1 coorporate sync email account battery life also returns to something tolerable. I am not receiving a lot of emails (less than 20 emails messages during the time). It seems as though multiple corporate sync emails accounts was broken in Gingerbread in a way that push email is not practical as battery is consumed and data is rate is too high. Without receiving any email had exchanged a few MB of data in less than an hour. Having single corporate sync account alleviate the data load and extended the battery life back to normal.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia E72 with software version 071.004. I have some problems with it when I receive SMS messages from anyone. The following situations might happen: The SMS messages arrive delayed with more than one hour or never arrive. The phone shows a "SIM card registration failed" error message and disconnects from the network immediately after the other person sends me the SMS message. In this case I have to switch it off and on again in order for it to reconnect to the GSM network.
This is very bad because most of the times I get disconnected from the network and see it hours later. These problems appeared since the very first releases of the firmware that were running on the phone. I am sure this is not a network problem because I've put my SIM card in another phone and the messages arrive instantly. I am also sure this is not a SIM card problem because I've just renewed my SIM card and the problem is still there. So by eliminating these possible causes I can only suspect the phone!
since Friday28th of October, in the morning I am experiencing a rather unpleasant issue: my Nokia E6 dos not connect to my company's email IMAP email accounts. I take the opportunity to report other 3 issuesI have 2 emails accounts @mycompany.com that were regularly being used. I did not update the firmware nor performed any changes on the phone, all of a sudden the E6 does not connect with the email accounts, there is no error message.I tried the following:1) Re-entered the password of the email account, I confirm this is right2) Created one of the email accounts that were on the E6 on 2 other devices (Ipad and Palm Pre), they work perfect, both on Wifi, on my operator,(Orange) and on an other phone operator (Swisscom)3) deleted one email account, from the E6. I restarted the phone (by holding the button 8 seconds) and recreated the email account, this is not possible, I get the following error message:" service temporarily unavailable. Try again later. "4) I repeated the test (point3) both on WiFi and using the 3G operator. I got the same errorOn the E6 there is also a Gmail account, which works flawlessly.Using the email is not an option for my business, so I wish that THIS TIME I will get an effective reply from NOKIA. ( NOKIA don't tell me again that I have to use OVI account or my mailprovider does not work, because as explained I tested the settings on other devices.

i have multiple Email accounts on E6 with symbian anna and set them to only check email when I open the mailbox and hit Z (or press 'send and receive now').Is there a way to do this for all email accounts without having to open each one of them?On my old E55 there was an Option 'Synchronize all' in the Mail Application, which did exactly what i want. Havent found it on the E6 yet.

However, lately the Gmail has stopped synchronization with the email servers. While the mail shows connected but new mails are not fetched from the server despite several attempts.
While I am still able to send mails from my already configured gmail account and that is working fine but new mails retrievals from the server is not working for any reason I am not able to find
I have also tried to delete this account and reconfigure the GMAIL via IMAP4 however the results are still the same.My phone software is updated to the letest version available on Nokia Suite.
If this problem still persists for a long time and I am unable to find a solution for the same I fear I might have to move to a different phone possibly an Android or a Blackberry. The last email retrieved on my phone was on February 16, 2012 and after that there are 100s of emails exchanged but my phone doesn't sync.
My Nokia E72 frequentlly goes into low battery state and then again in the normal level. It's a strange behaviour.

But every time it sync, I receive the following error "Unable to sync. Contact administrator if problem persists." All my data including calendar, contacts and also received mail, is synced except sent e-mails. I really need all this stuff being synced!
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter a recent update, my music library will no longer sync, nor does Ovi suite see any files on my E7 (which are really there). After attempting to sync, it will come up with the message "failure to sync". Oddly enough, contacts etc all sync without a problem and there is no problem listening to the music on the E7. I can copy music directly from Windows Mediaplayer, but that will cause the album not to show up in the albums on the E7 (though they are accessible through the file manager and then all works again.

I really liked the old battery status so you would know how much battery life is left. It is just a bit weird that a very good thing from the previous version is discontinued on the belle version.

When I press the EMail shortcut key, on the top right side of the keypad, this shortcut doesn't open the general EMail "folder" where I can see my GMail, Yahoo!, and Hotmail email accounts, instead it opens my Yahoo! email account directly, and I have to go back to the general "folder" to see my other email accounts...
I've tried playing with all the different options, but so far cannot make it work as I think it should be, which would be to go to the main EMail "folder", so I can choose which EMail account I want to open/synchronise, and not just opening the first EMail account I set up... Also, is not downloading the "Sent Items" folder, even though I chose "All" in What to download...
I have been using Nokia email messaging for a while now but suddenly today it is asking me for a Password. I understand that this should be the password for the first email account that I set up on the E71. I have tried this as well as the password for the other account with no success.
