My 8520 has some serious problems right now. I tried to do a software upgrade but it failed at JVM connection. Now my device wont connect to my pc at all (doesn't pick up the device whatsoever), and the phone wont boot up, The only activity I get out of it is the LED flashing red once and then four times quickly.

View 1 Replies View Relatedwell the thing is that i have the BB curve and also i hae the Vaio computer Series Y , before when i got the BB i was checking the features between PC and BB , i found that i could Connect the BB music to be able and listen to music with the speakers in the PC , now recently , is not letting me to connect the BB to the PC , is showing like if is trying to connect the it says Connected after to seconds it cut the connection, in my BB says Connection with Vaio terminated , basically is only playing 2 seconds in the computer and the it finish by itself?
PS, i have tried to remove both device each other and then reparied again but NO GO , also i have tried the option "listen " just to make sure that was the problem but "No go "?
I have a bb curve 8520 last week I had an upgrade to facebook available to download which I did. It went through all the motions ok and then at the end it came up with the usuall t/c's to confirm so i clicked on " I agree" and thats where it has stuck ? So now I have no fb on my phone . Can someone please tell me how to take fb off so I can have a go at re-installing again.( I went to a o2 store yesterday and their guru told me he didnt know how to do it either.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was recently given a Blackberry Curve by a friend as a gift.It was locked to orange, but I went to a local shop and got it unlocked so that I could use my Vodafone simcard in it.There is full signal bars and GPRS is displayed in the top right corner. Every time I dial out I get the message displayed 'Call Failed', and if someone tries to ring me they are sent straight to voicemail. All the solutions I've tried haven't worked and when I check the 'Mobile Voice' it says 'Not Connected' and 'Unavailable'. There is no red cross in the corner to indicate that it is barred either. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have several confounding issues. My new Curve 8530 will not boot. Nothing appears on the screen. The only thing it does is flash the red LED indicator once and then 4 quick consecutive times. In searching the forum, suggestions say to run apploader. However, I get stuck because my device can never be recognized by my computer!I was installing a factory update over the air. I cancelled the download because I thought doing it over Desktop Manager would be much faster. I connected the device via USB (for the first time ever). Drivers were recognized and were being installed. After a while, nothing happened with the device OR the computer. Now I have a brick of a phone that only blinks the LED at me. The device cannot be detected by my computer when I run apploader directly or through Desktop Manager. Yes, I have also tried fiddling with the Connection Options in DM.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI just received my 808 replaced by Nokia for the 3G bug issue. Now I have been noticing that annoying Connection Failed connection unavailable message every few seconds. Turned the positioning methods OFF and the frequency of the error message goes away but it still pops up every few minutes. I did a hard reset, removed the memory card where most of my apps are installed and it still gives me that same error. Ordered a new SIM to see if that makes any difference - none - Still same error message. That message is so annoying. Anyone have any other ideas that I could try ? Privacy mode is OFF also.

I did not have any problems with whatsapp at the beginning but when I tried to take a photo and send it, my bb rebooted and then I started having that problem. I tried deleting it and reinstalling it, but that didn't work. I tried it using the blackberry app world and using the browser as well.

I went into setup and my email account was already there. I ended up deleting it and adding it again. When I did this, I got a messge that a "new icon for this mailbox has been added to the home screen." Went to look and it's still not there. Took out the battery and rebooted. Still not there.
Finally discovered that I could get to my email but accessing SMS/MMS (texting) icon. I sent an e-mail to someone and all my received e-mail that I haven't been able to access was there. This is very cumbersome way of getting to my email and obviously not the way it's suppose to work.
How do I get my email icon added to my home screen?
