Nov 24, 2012i recently have purchased a bb 9360 and im tryin to connect to my home wifi but the error msg comes up sayin failed to associate with network. ive also tried it at my other family members house on there wifi and gettin the same msg, i use 2 hav a bb 8520 and had no problems conectin to the wifi. i live in a area with poor signal so i use the wifi for bbm, internet etc...

Sep 30, 2012I cannot connect the phone to my home internet. I have set up the details including the SSID and key/password but each time I try to connect it staes "Failed to associate with the Network".Vodaphone say it is a fault with the phone or my home internet provider but my hubby has a Blackberry and has no problem connecting his to our home internet. I have specifically got this phone for my teenage daughter who uses BBM and the internet mainly whilst in the house and as she can only use the inbuilt Vodaphone 250mb data allowance she will hit her limit in next to no time. Really need the phone to connect to the house internet.Have tried turning off, taking battery and sim out and starting up again but it doesnt help.

Nov 24, 2012i recently brought a bb 9360 and ive bin lookin and theres not just me either havin this problem, every time i try 2 connect to my wifi the msg failed to associate to the network keeps poppin up, ive had no problems with my old fone 8520 conectin to the wifi its only this fone, i am on the latest os7, i live in a poor signal area and im always usin the internet and bbm so i realy need 2 connet to my wifi.

Jun 27, 2011I was recently given a Blackberry Curve by a friend as a gift.It was locked to orange, but I went to a local shop and got it unlocked so that I could use my Vodafone simcard in it.There is full signal bars and GPRS is displayed in the top right corner. Every time I dial out I get the message displayed 'Call Failed', and if someone tries to ring me they are sent straight to voicemail. All the solutions I've tried haven't worked and when I check the 'Mobile Voice' it says 'Not Connected' and 'Unavailable'. There is no red cross in the corner to indicate that it is barred either. Mar 7, 2010Just upgraded from a pearl to a curve and al of a sudden am experiencing this apparently common problem.Sorry if this is a new topic on old subject but I am at end of my tether trying to find a solution. To date I have tried
Manual setup
Static IP
Phone restore
Battery removal
Sim removal
Router Restore
So, today, and purely for research purposes went to McDonalds for lunch and tried their Wifi (had a quarter pounder with cheese with sprite for those interested) and just like back at home, connects first time then drops then "failed to associate with network".I am on Orange with the Blackberry unlimited internet add on and everything worked fine with my pearl.Have tried Orange tech but , well the less said the better there.

Apr 12, 2010I have several confounding issues. My new Curve 8530 will not boot. Nothing appears on the screen. The only thing it does is flash the red LED indicator once and then 4 quick consecutive times. In searching the forum, suggestions say to run apploader. However, I get stuck because my device can never be recognized by my computer!I was installing a factory update over the air. I cancelled the download because I thought doing it over Desktop Manager would be much faster. I connected the device via USB (for the first time ever). Drivers were recognized and were being installed. After a while, nothing happened with the device OR the computer. Now I have a brick of a phone that only blinks the LED at me. The device cannot be detected by my computer when I run apploader directly or through Desktop Manager. Yes, I have also tried fiddling with the Connection Options in DM.

Jun 29, 2012I had a Curve 9300 and it broke I got a substitute phone until they could fix it, but I wanted to use bbm so I asked my sister who had a Curve 8520 if I could use it as she is now using a HTC. She said yes and today I got it. I restored to factory condition and set it up, but when I turn it on it won't let me use my network. It says it is connected to the 3 network and that I have a valid simcard, but when I try to use bbm or text it won't work. I only really want it for bbm.

Since Thursday night I've been receiving a SOS signal from my pay as you go Blackberry 8520 when I'm in my apartment or on my block. Or worse, it will say I have full coverage but I can't send or receive phonecalls or messages. If I walk two blocks in any direction the signal comes back. I've been to the Vodafone store multiple times and with the language barrier they keep telling me nothing is wrong. I finally got them to give me a new sim card today hoping that would fix it but i still can't get any signal. I'm sure it's probably something to do with the network but really, for three/four days?? I've lived in the same apartment for the past 4 months with absolutely no problem. I only have a week left in Italy with this phone but it's frustrating because I have to stay home and study for finals and now I can't get into contact with anyone. I've tried the battery pull, wiping my device, changing my SIM card...literally everything I can think of.

I try to manually connect to the network but it can't find any "Scan for networks failed". It also has my mobile network down as Vodafone UK for some reason. With the previous router (585?) all they had to do was scan for available networks and then when ours appeared they put in the password.But with this one when you scan and find the network and try to connect you get the message "this wireless router supports wi-fi protected setup. To connect using a PIN (which your Blackberry will generate), click Next". Then when you click Next you get an 8 number code. it doesn't give you the opportunity to put in the network password.Please tell me how to connect the Blackberrys to our network.

When trying to connect my Blackberry to the network, it finds my Home Network but then tells me that the Router supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup. To connect using a PIN (which my Blackberry will generate, click Next. I click next and the mobile generates an 8 digit number with the message "Enter this PIN into your wireless router."I cannot find a way to enter a PIN into the Netgear Router and all attempts to get help from Netgear have failed to solve the problem.The latest advice from Netgear was that I should contact Blackberry.Incidentally, the Wireless Printer and the Wireless Laptop both work inconjunction with the Router, as does the PC which is hard wired to the Router.

Apr 11, 2012I brought my BlackBerry a few weeks back, and brought the Data Plan (£5 for BBM, Internet etc for 1 month)... IT was working PERFECTLY until yesterday Morning... I woke up, checked my BBM as usual, Ended all the chats that were Broadcast Messages blah blah blah, and went to speak to one of my Contacts on BBM... THe message wouldnt send... I thought it's probably just slow or something.... Yet im still having the same problems now... Nearly 2 days it hasnt worked now, and it's getting very annoying!
Features that are being affected are;
- BBM
- Facebook App
- App World
- Browser
This is one message I usally get while trying to use the Browser:
"Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later.
If the problem persists please contact your service provider."
Another thing that's really annoyed me is the fact that most people with a Similar problem to my has "gprs" in Lower Case letters, yet i have "GPRS" in Capitals, yet still not working.. I admit, on the rare occasion i can send a message but it takes ages, usually about 30 minutes. No matter where I go, whether it's my house, the woods, the town, anywhere, im getting the same problem, whereas before, I could go anywhere, including those 3 place and it would be FINE!!
I've done everything I could, Battery Removal, Wipe, SImple turned the Mobile Network off, then back on... NOTHING is helping!!
Until yesterday morning i had NO problems what so ever, then suddenly I get this!!!
