BB Curve :: 8520 - Connection Closed Error When Trying To Run WhatsApp

I own a blackberry curve 8520. I am having an error trying to run whatsapp "unexpected error net.rim.device.api.io.connectionclosedexception: connection closed". I did not have any problems with whatsapp at the beginning but when I tried to take a photo and send it, my bb rebooted and then I started having that problem. I tried deleting it and reinstalling it, but that didn't work. I tried it using the blackberry app world and using the browser as well.
I have a Nokia N8 and installed Whatsapp from the Ovistore, great app, but with one problem. The problem is that Whatsapp always stays connected to the 3G or WLAN even after closing the app, not hiding it I really mean Exit, Close etc. Have the PR1.2 FW.
I have a blackberry 8900. How do you connect to a closed network via ADSL? The wifi does connect to the router, and I am able to browse the net. The ADSL also allows access to a closed network, but I am unable to access the closed network.why? if i can access the internet via router, why can i not access the closed network?
my friend nexus 5 got water damage. he opened it up and cleaned the corrosion. when he put it back together one pin was short circuited and smoked a lil. but then he removed the pin and able to boot the phone. it goes to the google then to the flying color dots but stuck there forever.
i tried adb, it says connection: closed.
so i tried fastboot oem unlock and suceeded
i try able to fastboot flash recovery.img to TWRP, but after flashed, the recovery is still stock recovery.
I go back to fastboot and saw unlock was not there anymore.
so why is the unlock doesn't stay and the flashing in fastboot doesn't get updated.?
since the last update 23.4.A.1.232 on my Z3, whatsapp web stopped working correctly. If I keep the phone in stand-by, after 10 minutes or so, the app stop to communicate with the world. That means that I will not recieve any notification about incoming messages unless I turn on the screen. Otherwise, if I use whatsapp only, it works just fine.
I am currently unable to connection to my internet hub. Why is this as i have tried numerous different ways to resolve the problem, like attempting to restart the connection, reset my device, restarted my mobile connections, ect. to no good.
I just got my new bb curve today and tried many attempts on connection to the wifi but failed.I've used to Wi-Fi diagnostics, the status says Newwork acquired but VPN profile not found.
I am using E52 and I have installed Whatsapp Messenger. It uses my packet data connection and I am rob off my credit. The only way I know to stop this is to uninstall Whatsapp. Is there any way or an app on OviStore which can enable/disable my packet data connection as per my wish.
I just bought my BlackBerry curve 8520 yesterday and I am trying to connect to my house network and I did, but next to my wifi connection is a white line, and I am not sure what that means. So I am not able to connect to the internet, without my data plan? How do i make that white line a Green check, one?
I have recently bought Blackberry curve 8520 smart phone and was trying to get Wi-fi working on my phone. I had set up the connection from the wi-fi but when I start browsing i think mobile network internet start's working and not the wi-fi one, though the wi-fi network name appears with the mobile network name on the home screen??
My 8520 has some serious problems right now. I tried to do a software upgrade but it failed at JVM connection. Now my device wont connect to my pc at all (doesn't pick up the device whatsoever), and the phone wont boot up, The only activity I get out of it is the LED flashing red once and then four times quickly.
I was given a BB Curve 8310 to attempt a repair. When I attach the USB cable to the BB the system tray does not pop up with a notification that says "found new hardware" like it normally does when you plug a BB in. When the phone boots up it displays error msg " JVM Error 513". I attempted to looking into the device by using "cracmem" and "JL_Cmder" and no data is to be found and thus there is nothing to wipe. I suspect that the device has already been wiped thus the no data. I have pulled the battery from the phone and reinstalled; unplugged the usb cable during the BB boot process and nothing is happening. The DM application loader will not allow me to procede due to computer not recognizing the BB device thus it is not generating the "USB:UNKNOWN".
I got a new Curve 8520 just resently and have a problem with my internet connection. I use my Curve without data plan/bis. To go in the internet I use Opera 5.0 and for Emails logicmail. To connect to the internet, I changed my APN according to my provider setting:
apn: internet (thats for o2 Germany) No authentification
Username/PW: blank
On the first day, everything worked just fine, Opera aswell as Logicmail. I also had a EDGE symbol in the upper right corner. On the second date I found, that Opera and logicmail would not connect via Wifi. So I started to play around with settings. Anyway, since then Opera and Logicmail refused to connect via EDGE, however Wifi worked.... I could not figure out the ressons, so I tried to undo my setting changes. And yesterday I was finally able to connect via EDGE again. And here is the funny thing: This morning, I got the same errors agian, when trying to connect via EDGE. I did not do anything with the phone last night, it just refuses to connect. It still shows me the edge sign, but opera always tells me, that it is unable to connect. I set the application application permisson for both programs to "prompt" under the point "internet" to see if the phone even tries to connect, but it does not. Wifi still works fine. It seems that my Blackberry forgot about EDGE and always wants to connect via wifi.Can anyone help me out here?
My Curve 8520 has my home wireless connection but it doesn't hold the connection for more than a minute at a time. Is there anything I can do? It's fine when the little WiFi words light up in the top right of the screen, but then it goes grey and is disconnected.
I am having little problem with my blackberry 8520....earlier today I couldn't see my blackberry messenger on the instant message file, so searching for it led me to reloading my phone and before I reloaded it, the wifi connection was working perfectly, but now I can connect to wifi but my instant messengers are not working with it, like my blackberry messenger and yahoo messenger are not working with the wifi connection. And under the "Default Browser Configuration, I can see T-mobile internet and Hotspot browser alone.
For the past 3 or 4 days each morning I wake up my 8530 has lost the data connection. When I open "Manage Connections" I see a green check mark next to Mobile Network- Verizon Wireless and Wifi so I know it's connected. If I un-check the Mobile Network and wait for it to disable then reconnect it will work fine and all my e-mails and texts from the night get pushed through. I have great service at my house so I'm not sure why my phone keeps losing the data connection at some point during the night. I am running the latest OS .886 and this is my second 8530 "certified pre-owned device" as my first 8530 died. I also did a battery pull the first day I noticed this which re-connected the data but it happened again when I woke up the next morning.Has this happened to anyone else?
I am with orange and I have 500MB data per month. When I try and use the mobile network internet it says 'This is a WiFi service. Please ensure your device has an active wifi connection and try again'. Why is this? Also, when i try to update to 5.0 it says I need a data package but it worked on my old phone. And because of this I can't download the app world. The signal goes to SOS a lot as well but I think my house blocks the signal. Currently it says 'gprs' with 2 bars beside it.
My phone got an app 200 "reset" message.I followed the instructions from J Sanders (Re: Blackberry Curve 8520/'APP Error 200-Reset" it shows to me) and was doing pretty good until on the application loader wizard, in the connection drop down menu I dont see "USB-PIN: UNKOWN" I get USB-PIN:<Personal Content Removed> after selecting this option and I click next I get a pop up box that says "Device password required, a security password is required for your device" Now I do have a password on the phone that was working and unlocking the device before I git the APP 200 Error, But it is no longer working. I have had five attempts now and Im worried im going to lock the phone permanently.
i have a bb 8520 an i keep getting app error 523, i know its a java run time error but any time i try restoreit nothing happpens at all i had the bb for 4 months an it broke an its broke the last 3 months any one p.s. bb application loader does not work, the desktop software wont recgonise the phone but the computer will
BlackBerry Curve 8520/ "APP Error 200 - Reset " it shows to me, when i reset it takes time and backt to same page "reset"... when tried connectng to the PC. In the PC it says connect you BB..i've tried using to update the software..bt the software am usin is the only one available..hw can i save the lyf of my fone?
i own a blackberry 8520 curve and i keep having the same problem with logging in into yahoo messenger.while i can log in from a PC or another phone, logging in from this phone seems impossible, regardless the account i try logging in with. after it displays the ''connecting to" message it pops this: "'internal error. please try again''.i tried reintroducing the internet connection settings; i reinstalled the application, i've put another SIM card into this phone and i've removed all the entries from my yahoo account's apps and website connections list - and it keeps popping the error message i hope receiving an answer, 'cause it's been 4 days without getting to use the app.
When I try to update my software by desktop software after back up it give an error please check your internet setting and try back again. I tried to do from different places but everywhere it shows same error. My handset is locked with Airtel. I have downloaded OS5 on my desktop.
im using a curve 8520 and had recently wiped out my phone. all contacts and apps were deleted. i was not able to set a back up from my pc as well. i tried re-installing the bb appworld but im getting error id 40760 everytime i try to download any app.
