When I try to update my software by desktop software after back up it give an error please check your internet setting and try back again. I tried to do from different places but everywhere it shows same error. My handset is locked with Airtel. I have downloaded OS5 on my desktop.

View 12 Replies View RelatedMy phone got an app 200 "reset" message.I followed the instructions from J Sanders (Re: Blackberry Curve 8520/'APP Error 200-Reset" it shows to me) and was doing pretty good until on the application loader wizard, in the connection drop down menu I dont see "USB-PIN: UNKOWN" I get USB-PIN:<Personal Content Removed> after selecting this option and I click next I get a pop up box that says "Device password required, a security password is required for your device" Now I do have a password on the phone that was working and unlocking the device before I git the APP 200 Error, But it is no longer working. I have had five attempts now and Im worried im going to lock the phone permanently.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've upgraded from my original OS to 5.0.0.411 (i think) at the start of the year with no problems. Two days ago I attempted the upgrade to .681 which was fine, but I'm not keen on the update as the UMA isn't working properly, so I want to downgrade.
So last night I managed to get back to the original OS 4.? (I was having probs with a straight forward downgrade to another OS5) and tried to upgrade to the Vodafone Italy (I'm on Orange UK) but it wasn't being recognised with the Desktop Blackberry software (vendor file was deleted), although when I went into the upgrade part on the app loader, it did appear there, but with an asterisk saying I had to be registered with Blackberry to be eligible for the upgrade (or something like that). I attempted the upgrade but the software wouldn't allow it.
I removed that software and tried with the Wind release, but again the desk top software didn't recognise it.I tried the .681 release again and the upgrade worked fine
I would really like to go back to a stable OS where the UMA works. Any ideas how to do it with the Vodafone Italy release? Or am I being blocked somehow as I'm registered to Orange UK? If so does anyone have a link to download another earlier release that is stable and not carrier associated?
i own a blackberry 8520 curve and i keep having the same problem with logging in into yahoo messenger.while i can log in from a PC or another phone, logging in from this phone seems impossible, regardless the account i try logging in with. after it displays the ''connecting to" message it pops this: "'internal error. please try again''.i tried reintroducing the internet connection settings; i reinstalled the application, i've put another SIM card into this phone and i've removed all the entries from my yahoo account's apps and website connections list - and it keeps popping the error message i hope receiving an answer, 'cause it's been 4 days without getting to use the app.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I use my browser to get to Gmail or Blogger, I have to sign in. So, I enter my username and password, but the Enter key doesn't work to load the page up. Nor does it work when I use the tracker to click on "sign in". Nothing happens so I can't access these sites. If I go to another website, for example, Google.com, enter my text and click the Enter key, it loads and shows me my results. Links seem to work on other websites too. Wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem and have a suggestion?

I've done a couple of battery pulls and sent my service books but still happening. If I close my browser and re open it it will work again but maybe ten minutes later will happen several times. I did not have any problems with whatsapp at the beginning but when I tried to take a photo and send it, my bb rebooted and then I started having that problem. blackberry curve 8250 on orange uk.it was working fine, until a few days ago it just showed SOS where the reception should be.the phone was an upgrade from orange.
i was told to get it unlocked so i purchased an unlock code but for some odd reason everytime i insert the code it freezes the handset.i have tried so many time but nothing, i still have 10 tries left.

A few months ago my blackberry decided not to work and so I had to do a full format and re-install and since upgrading to OS5 I have had the problem with purchasing Apps; Downloading free Apps is fine. I have also lost Memopad and can not restore it, but the biggest problem is buying apps.
I recently received a message telling me that an update was available for App World. I downloaded the update, installed it and rebooted. Now I am unable to download apps. When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've had my curve for a few months with no problems until tonight. I hadn't backed my phones info up for a couple of months so I thought I would do it earlier on today. I back everything up fine on my computer but the blackberry software crashed when it was trying to restore the info from my phone { I don't know why it was trying to restore everything cause I've never done that before.} so I tried to reinstall my backup onto my phone and it seemed to work. I switched my phone back on it was working, I tried to go onto facebook and I got "A connection cannot be established to the Facebook server." so I uninstalled the facebook app and waited for the phone to reset and reload. it took ages and about 3 battery removals to get the phone to load up to the password screen, and when it did get passed that, the phone wont let me click on my text message or email shortcut. I switched the phone off and saw a white screen with an error number of app err 523. My phone has been fine since I bought it until tonight.
