A few days ago my Yahoo Mail stopped connecting, and I started seeing the above noted error message (Cannot Get Mail. The connection to the server failed.) While it won't retrieve messages, it will let me send. So at least SMTP seems to be working OK.Â
I've tried deleting it and adding it back, but to no avail. I've rebooted the phone. I've and any combination of options found on these boards.Â

I've been using this app for months! That is until two days ago when I updated the OS on my 8530. From then on the podcast app 1.0.0.48 has failed to "communicate with the server" when I try the Explore Podcasts feature, and also no longer notifies me (or downloads) new episodes. I rolled back to the previous version of the OS and the problem still exists.

Then I tried using hotmail and it worked fine (but my hotmail is full of spam so I want to get my Yahoomail to work). It said that I have the username or password wrong. Could someone tell me what to type in?

I am able to bring up yahoo calender and when I go to options, the 'wirelesss synchronization' is set to 'No'. I can't seem to change that. Does anyone know if there is any other way/option that needs to be enabled? I can sync via Desktop Manager with yahoo, but need a way to sync wirelessly. Apparently Yahoo Go service provided that option but is no longer supported.

Just getting my wife's iPhone 4 setup and updated to 4.0.1. Her Microsoft Exchange account works correctly on her old 3G (3.1.3) and on her iPad (3.2.1) but gives this error when trying to retrieve mail: "The connection to the server failed" on the iPhone 4. We have re-entered the correct information many times and also tried the account on my iPhone 4 and it gives the exact same error.
Again, the account seems to setup and verify fine under settings > mail > etc.. but once we try to retrieve the mail it fails with the server error.

View 6 Replies View Relatedmy Yahoo Mail icon decided to go missing (again) after I did a battery pull. Normally, I can resend service books once or twice and it'll pop back up. This time, however, no such luck. I've resent services books (around 20 times or more). I've deleted service books all together and then resent them. I've deleted the email all together and readded it. I've tried with another Yahoo address. Nothing is able to bring back my beloved icon. Does anyone else have any ideas as to how to bring it back? I really hate the mail icon with the little globe and I'm pretty sure I'd do whatever it takes to get my Yahoo icon back.

They were able to change my email password, steal and delete my contact list, send all my contacts and email saying I was in London and desperately needed $1500 and set up an alternate email in Yahoo so that if some questioned the email requesting money they would reply it was really me. Is there anything I can use to protect the Blackberry phone from this type of thing from happening.
