I keep getting an error pop-up when I try to access my email. The pop-up says Cannot Get Mail The connection to the server failed. I get this pop-up on both my iPhone 5 and my iPad. I can still access my email, but the pop-up is real annoying.

Just getting my wife's iPhone 4 setup and updated to 4.0.1. Her Microsoft Exchange account works correctly on her old 3G (3.1.3) and on her iPad (3.2.1) but gives this error when trying to retrieve mail: "The connection to the server failed" on the iPhone 4. We have re-entered the correct information many times and also tried the account on my iPhone 4 and it gives the exact same error.
Again, the account seems to setup and verify fine under settings > mail > etc.. but once we try to retrieve the mail it fails with the server error.
I tried to check updates to my Phone.Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update -> Update (Check for Updates)When i do this immediately i get a pop-up notifying "Connecting to server ..." Later after few seconds im getting another pop-up saying "Connection failed"I have a Samsung account and my SocialHub works perfectly fine.Anybody facing this issue? I just received my 808 replaced by Nokia for the 3G bug issue. Now I have been noticing that annoying Connection Failed connection unavailable message every few seconds. Turned the positioning methods OFF and the frequency of the error message goes away but it still pops up every few minutes. I did a hard reset, removed the memory card where most of my apps are installed and it still gives me that same error. Ordered a new SIM to see if that makes any difference - none - Still same error message. That message is so annoying. Anyone have any other ideas that I could try ? Privacy mode is OFF also.

I bought the C3-00 a month ago and after several problems like phone attaching to the gprs on its own and firing all my credit, getting stuck for no reason when opening gmail with the gmail application, today I had to remove the battery for the first time trying to find out the security code - which no one set and which is supposedly "12345" by default (only not because it DOESN'T work) - because I wanted to reset it to the factory setting, the phone which two seconds prior that action - removing the battery - was connecting with no problems with my pc wifi now when opening the browser Opera is giving me the title error:

A) I can't factory-rest the damn thing because I don't know the security code, security code which I never set. The supposedly factory code 12345 doesn't work.
B) After removing the battery the wifi is USELESS and the phone doesn't connect to the internet anymore. It goes to the nokia.ovi and the accuweather links and such, but the default browser (so ACTUALLY using internet)?? NO WAY..
