View 1 RepliesCannot Get Mail The connection to the server failed. I've deleted and re-added my exchange account, done a hard reboot and even reset my network settings. I had already had my exchange account up and running for a couple of weeks when one morning I woke up to that message. Since then I can't get back in.

I have been getting the following error on my iPhone the last couple of days when accessing one of my two Yahoo mail accounts using the mail client-Â "Cannot Get Mail - The connection to the server failed."Â
If I restart my iPhone 6 (iOS 8.1.1) the error goes away temporarily and mail is received, but the error eventually returns. The error only occurs with one of my two associated Yahoo mail accounts, the other Yahoo account works fine.Â

A few days ago my Yahoo Mail stopped connecting, and I started seeing the above noted error message (Cannot Get Mail. The connection to the server failed.) While it won't retrieve messages, it will let me send. So at least SMTP seems to be working OK.Â
I've tried deleting it and adding it back, but to no avail. I've rebooted the phone. I've and any combination of options found on these boards.Â

Just getting my wife's iPhone 4 setup and updated to 4.0.1. Her Microsoft Exchange account works correctly on her old 3G (3.1.3) and on her iPad (3.2.1) but gives this error when trying to retrieve mail: "The connection to the server failed" on the iPhone 4. We have re-entered the correct information many times and also tried the account on my iPhone 4 and it gives the exact same error.
Again, the account seems to setup and verify fine under settings > mail > etc.. but once we try to retrieve the mail it fails with the server error.
"Cannot get mail, connection to the service failed". why and how do I repair it?

I recently got an iPhone 5S, and it's been great, but suddenly, yesterday, the connection to the server started failing and won't connect me to my mail.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I am trying to connect to WLAN, it got connected but the moment I start browsing, it displays message 'Connection Failed - Access Denied'. Sometimes, it shows 'Invalid Server'. I am really not sure why it is happening as 3G is working fine in my phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt used to work fine, but yahoo mail changed and they changed the calendar as well. The error that shows up is "Connection to Yahoo Server Failed". today my company's email provider changed the hostname for the Exchange server, so I'm stuck with my E72 not syncronizing any more, since I can't edit the server name field in the configuration properties.First of all: is this behavior by design? Because in case it is, the "Change" item in the Options menu should really be removed.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just received my 808 replaced by Nokia for the 3G bug issue. Now I have been noticing that annoying Connection Failed connection unavailable message every few seconds. Turned the positioning methods OFF and the frequency of the error message goes away but it still pops up every few minutes. I did a hard reset, removed the memory card where most of my apps are installed and it still gives me that same error. Ordered a new SIM to see if that makes any difference - none - Still same error message. That message is so annoying. Anyone have any other ideas that I could try ? Privacy mode is OFF also.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOk I have a 808 bought it as a camera after it updated it, I get this unacceptable repeated popup"Connection Failed Connection Unavailable".Its like every 30 seconds. Its total black background message occupies valuable screen real estate at the top of the screen and repeatedly hinders normal usage of the device, causing especially unpleasant experience when capturing pictures or video. How do nokia users like me go about disabling this message and continue enjoying the experience of the brand we choose to trust?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a POP3 server that I use with my BB and with Outlook. Messages I read with the BB get left on the server and I get them with outlook just fine. However, just in the last couple of weeks, messages I SEND from the BB also get left in the sent-mail folder on my mail server, which has been causing my mailbox to fill up if I don't log in every couple of days and delete them. How do I turn that off. I see no option either in the Messages application or in the Email Setup Wizard that controls sent mail.

I have my own mail server. When my iPhone is on the local WiFi, it can log in and read mail. When it is on the 3G connection, it gets the message 'The mail server "intellexcorp.com" is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in the Mail settings.' The setttings are unchanged. There is no firewall on the server computer. I can't see why the same settings would have a problem connecting. No other services, including mail and remote access have a problem accessing this computer by name or by IP.

about 6 months ago my mother in law purchased an Iphone. I set up her email for her using a pop 3. At the time I could not get the godaddy outgoing email server to work so I used my local ISP provied outgoing smtp server with my user name and password.
Now my mother in law moved to a different sate and she got a new iphone but my outgoing mail server still shows up as the primary outgoing mail server so she still needs my user name and password.
Also on my iphone I noticed there are 8 "other smtp servers" in addition to the primary. I want to delete them all.

AT&T Outgoing Server cwmx.com is not working for me at all any more. Around June 7th, it just stopped working. I keep getting the, "No server response". I have an iPhone 4G, OS5.1.1 I deleted the cwmx.com outgoing server and readded which did not help. I deleted the "pop" email accounts and readded them which did not help. I reset the network settings; the factory settings; then restored the phone back to a date previous to the problem. None helped.
